Are You a Gourmet or Production Cook? I've spent many years as a working Mom and learned to cook fast utilizing the Microwave and Crock Pot.
When I became an Empty Nester - George Foreman frequently does the cooking.
Now, Mr. Gemini Rising is in the picture. He is a Taurus Sun. Taurus Men like Naked Women and Food Food so................
When Gemini Rising tells me that he likes something, It usually ends up on his plate.
A few days ago, he mentioned that he likes Reuben Sandwiches. I thought only Restaurants Cooked Reuben Sandwiches. I found the directions making the Sandwich on AllRecipe/Picked up the Ingredients at Food Lion on the way home from Work and with a little help from George Foreman.............. [/COLOR]Mr. Gemini Rising got a Reuben Sandwich tonight.
Tomorrow, he's getting Corned Beef and Cabbage via the Crockpot. I have a turkey in the freezer. Marked Down with a Sam's Club Discount. Somehow, I don't think George Foreman or the Crockpot will help me cook that thing.

Reincarnation/Lincoln Equals Kennedy IS................OBAMA

There are many similarities between Lincoln and Kennedy. One was elected in 1860 and the other in 1960.
There is some speculation that Kennedy is the reincarnation of Lincoln.Both were active in the Civil War/Civil Rights Era and experienced the fate of the Alleged Zero Year Tippecanoe Curse. Ronald Reagan barely escaped the curse and it appears to have bypassed President Dubya Bush altogether. Texas is going to have a REALLY big celebration upon Dubya's Return.
So................ Now there is speculation that Obama is the reincarnation of Lincoln and Kennedy. Luckily - Obama's not elected in a Zero Year and the Tippecanoe Curse will be totally confused confused if it's looking for a "Great White Chief"
It could be that Obama's presidency is the fulfilment of the Civil War/Civil Rights Era Vision. Lincoln and Obama are both transplanted Illinois Residents.
So do you think it's possilbe that Lincoln and Kennedy are reincarnated as Obama.

[It was one of those days when I didn't want to go to work. I was okay when I got there but I wanted to be home when it was time to go.
There were no grouchy customers or major mishaps. It only took fifteen minutes to count down the cash register. Yea Ha! High Five. Thirteen Thousand Dollars in the Register and only a five cents error. I haven't achieved perfection yet but Oh Well!
"Do you want to stay over a while," I asked when returning the till to the register. "Not Really" I thought to myself.
My reply was "It must be door greeter duty time. Sure." I can deal with this for a few more hours - Groan Groan!"I finally clock out and realize my car keys are missing. It takes me to another time when I locked the keys in the car at Wal-Mart in Nevada.

That Time, It was about 4 in the morning before I finally figured out how to pop a locked on a car door. I had the same vision of being stuck at the Sam's Club Parking Lot and it was a whole colder.

The Perils of Relationships.

Star is by no means an EXPERT on Relationships. So how long will the relationship with GEMINI RISING last? One Day at a Time - Long as it's suppose to last.
From a spiritual point of view, a Relationship is just another stepping stone towards a Healthier Existence, Consciousness, and ultimately, a fully Enlightened (aware) Healing Process through our interaction with others.
We actually draw people into our lives who working on similar issues. We have a relationship in order to help ourselves heal these, and other areas of our lives. Many of us have painful areas of our lives because we choose to not look at them We are afraid that it will hurt if we look. We then attract someone through a relationship who will bring those issues to the surface thus forcing us the root cause of our pain and something about it. In other words, Heal the Issue
If you get out of the current relationship before you have resolved your issues with your current partner, you will re-create the same issue(s), and continue to work on the same life lesson(s) in your next relationship with your next partner.
The only way to heal and grow is by uprooting the problem, and resolving it. When the two are finally at a point where they both feel more like brother and sister than rivals or romantic partners, that's the time to move on, or divorce - Not when there is still emotionally binding to the other partner (angry).
People often ask: Will my Relationship last ?
Well, first of all, if you really have to ask that question, you are already in deep trouble. The answer is always the same from a spiritual point of view. If you were meant to be together, you will On the other hand, if you were not meant to be, you won't
Stop worrying about the things you Can Not Change
Always be as loving, and honest as possible, and give your worries over to Grandfather Creator
When you are having problems,the 2 Questions you should ask yourself are:
1) Why did I create this situation ? (sub-consciously)
2) What was I trying to learn from the situation I created ?
You are already half way there to solving any problem,
if you can answer both of the above questions.

Retrograde Cars and Holiday Retail Therapy! Yea Ha!

They keep talking about recession but it sure it not happening at Charlottesville Sam's Club. Right now, I feel like I need to sleep for a week and it's two days to Black Friday when the Winter Holiday Season officially begins.
So Monday - I left work late and had to be back at work early Tuesday Morning. I hate that. I spent Monday Niter doing Charts and getting a package ready to mail.
I dropped the package at the post office Tuesday Morning and started the drive to Sam's Club. I was heading down the road and another motorist motioned for me to pull over. Yeah Sure!
I pulled into the Wall-Mart Parking for some brief Retail Therapy Lot because I had about 30 minutes before Work Time. I headed back to the car. Lo and Behold, the front tire on the Passenger Side was getting flat.
Oh Well, it's about time to replace those tires anyway. I know how to but I sure don't want to change that tire. So I drove across the road to Sam's Club's Tire and Battery Department.
There was a considerable line with folks waiting to buy tires and 15 minutes before I'm suppose to clock in. You gotta love them cell phones. I got out the phone and called management.
This is Bonnie. I am a cashier at Sam's Club. I am running a tad bit late because I have a flat tire that has to be taken care of. So now Delila the Dynasty has two brand new front tires. I will NOT be buying the GPSS Navigator that I was planning to buy on Black Friday. Life on Life's Terms.
I was fifteen minutes late. "Dang, you got that tire taken care of fast," the supervisor commented. Groan Groan - One Hundred and Thirty Some Dollars for new tires. "I have to buy a new car, my supervisor commented. She totaled her car Friday Night.
I wouldn't mind buying a new car but need a tad bit more $$$$$ in the bank before I do so. Right Now, I have enough to buy two new tires. Next payday, maybe two more. Life on Life's Terms.
Folks were on a Turkey Buying Frenzy today. We were cashiering non-stop. "Hey Guys! After we get off these Cash REgisters - Do ya all wanna come over to my house for a Hot Tub Party."
Techically, It's Mr; Joe's House and Mr Joe's Hot Tub. Minor Detail. I am sure he would just LOVE having a bunch of Cashiers spashing around in his hot tub.
"Sure, I'll bring the Hootch!" the associate next to me commented.
We are taught to always Check on BOB - Bottom of Cart - so I got on my knees to start scanning some beer. The Customer apoligized. My reply, "If I can get down and get back up at my age, I have a lot to be grateful for." "Indeed you are blessed." she commented.
So................. It took me Twenty Minutes to count down the Cash Register at the end of my shift. $16969.46 with a .06 Cent Error in Sam's favor. I haven't quite acheived perfection YET!
Sometimes my job frustrates the heck out of me. It's better than the alternative. There are folks out there who can't work. I have to be grateful because I can. Nevertheless........... I will sure be glad when the Holidays are over all ready and it's not even Black Friday Yet.

The Sams's Club Holiday Season unofficially begins the Day after Halloween. The Pumpkins and Witches go away. Live Christmas Trees and Santa goes on Display. The Holiday Season Offically Starts the day after Thanksgiving aka BLACK FRIDAY.
Economic Woes don't seem to be stopping the Holiday Buying Frenzy at Sam's Club. Yesterday, I rang up almost $18,000 worth of sales. I've seen monies amounting to my entire paycheck and beyond on one sale.
and the Sam's Club Bosses want us to be able to count down the Cash Registers in Fifteen Minutes or less. They don't want to pay us overtime. Yeah Sure! Money is STILL not my comfort zone. I like to double check what I count especially when I am counting several thousand dollars worth of cash.
Novemeber 27th is my younger 's birthday. It is also my Sobriety Date. I am scheduled to speak for my Home Group in West Virginia on the day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday. I requested that day off. The Sam's Club Bosses said, "No and No Firetrucking Way, am I getting Black Friday off." Life on Life's Terms. I'll have to reschedule "Me at the Speaker Meeting."
Yee Ha! Sam's will have to pay me Holiday Pay. That will be my X-Mas Shopping Money and a nice Birthday gift for my youngest .
So Yesterday - I was scheduled to clock out at 6:15. I closed the register at 6:11 - I went to the back room - lo and behold the counting machine was malfunctioning. It was working but there was no printout for double checking.
Indeed, I did double count all that Cash. Happily, I got it right in the machine the first time. I hope Sam's don't cry too much. It took 20 minutes to count several thousand dollars worth of Cash and add in the other types of sales, (Charges, Debits, Checks, Gift Card Redemptions, Third Party pharmacy Sales, Ad Infintim) AND I was only 14 Cents off.

My Prospective on the Elections and the race issue.

So...............Now that the Elections are over, maybe those silly politicians can quit slinging mud at each other, toss it in a compost pile and use it to grow flowers instead.
It has been an interesting and historical election nevertheless. I originally supported Hillary and switched to Obama after she lost the election. A Black Man who graduated from Harvard and a White Woman who graduated from Yale were both at the top of thier classes.
They were competing for the same job. One won - the other didin't. It doesn't diminish the person who didn't get the job. I found it interesting the Obama took Virginia which is the Heart of the Confederacy where the enslaved community and Jim Crow Laws prevailed. Virginia traditionally supports Republicans. Virginia also sent a Democrat to the Senate.
Racial or otherwise, It is my OBSERVATION that Obama's Victory is having an impact on the Black Community. I know of at least one Black Co-Worker who is walking on air. We giggled and discussed the idea of putting an Obama Bumper Sticker on the car of a customer that we called Archie Bunker. Some of my African American Customers are expressing how they are loving it. One older woman told me that it hasn't hit her yet but when it does, she knows she'll start crying. Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" is unfolding.
What has been done to the Black Community has taken several generations to heal. Visualize - families living in slavery where education was actually outlawed. Suddenly being told, yep ya all are free - Ya all are welcome to stay put as sharecroppers and abid by the Jim Crow laws.
It possible that the folks living in these conditions might be a tad bit disfunctional.
I came of Age in the Midst of the Civil Rights Movement.
This is the time when they said bye bye to Jim Crow Laws and segregated schools. This was a topic of discussion in High School. Suddenly calling an African American the N-Word was not okay.
I moved to Los Angeles near the outskirts of Watts in my Senior Year of High School. I experienced being harrassed by gang members and even had stitches on the back of my skull when a gang member shoved me and my head head hit the pavement.
I want the Black Community to heal too. Did I really like being like Obama's Black Grandmother who would cring when a black man approached her.
Black or otherwise.................Why are gang members the way that they are? Discrimination because of bigotry, Poverty and Crime go hand in hand. When there is hope and opportunity, folks make better choices.
Obama may turn out to be a good president. He may turn out to be a bad president. Time will tell. Perhaps he can strighten out the mess from the previous administration. Apparently, he has a congress that will work with him and he's getting good advisors.
He got most of the Black and Hispanic votes and about forty percent of the white votes. I remember the civil right marches. There were white faces among the Marchers too. There were some folks regardless of color who took a Stand and said "Hey - This is not right - We need to Change It-
Some folks voted for Obama because he is Black. Other folks didn't vote for Obamaa because he is Black. Other's voted for Obama because they don't have any faith the Party of the cruuent admistration.
Maybe American wasn't ready for a Pitbull with lipstick in the White House.

If I were running for President my opponents would bring to LIGHT
1. I am a nonpracticing alcoholic and I did more than inhale when I tried Left Handed Wacky Weed.
2. I have paternal relatives who fought on the Nazi side of WWII.
3. My Maternal Jewish Grandfather spent time in Prison. He was a convicted Felon.
4. I have a 1983 Misdemeanor "Disturbing the Peace" conviction. while working on a job that doesn't go on my current day resume, I pleaded down the original charge for community service.
5. I have been known to play with married men but usually with the consent AND participation of the wife. I also have been known to play with married WOMEN with the consent AND participation of the husband.
6. I belonged to a Church with a gay minister who was arrested because Ireland wanted him extradited and tried for practicing Euthanasia in. West Virginia did not extradite him so he was freed. He also supports same sex marriage.
7. I have explored religions other than Christianity.
8. I dated a member of the Klu Klux Klan three times. We went out to dinner in Roanoke the first time. The Second time, we went out to Pizza. We went to see a presentation of Messiah in a Baptist Church the third time.
If YOU were running for President????
Would the opponent discover that you are pure as New Driven Snow or Would they find some really good dirt to make into mud pies to sling at you?
