There are many theories about what causes the phenomena of Ball Lightning and many who deny that they exist and say people who claim have seen it are hallucinating......This is what I saw.

Just listened the Saweto Gospel Choir singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujuah with tears running down my cheeks. ......A group of African musicians in Australia singing a Canadian song that was written facetiously and then reinterpreted by Christians as praise to their God...so heart-felt and beautiful that it caused a quarantined Canadian Atheist to weep for the World and the beauty and tragedy of the Human condition.............

SHINRIN YOKU...The Japanese have this lovely term that means Forest Bathing. I didn't always have a term for it, but it's something I have done all my life since my grandmother wrapped my 3 year-old arms around a tree, put my ear to the tree and told me to listen to the song.......It's a lovely. calming experience to just be in among the trees. Today I heard a bumble bee go by my head and many Robins and Towhees singing, Ravens burbling......comforting rustles and sunbeams cheerfully bouncing around .......
The photos aren't great, but may remind you that Spring is pushing through and life is burgeoning and lovely.

What a lovely Sunday.....I opened all the windows and doors and let the breeze blow through my house for several hours this sunny afternoon......I hear the creek running and the frogs and Robins singing.......my 's cat came for a visit as she always does when I leave my door open.....sweet kitty....There are buds on the bushes and catkins unfurling in the sun..........

Here's another American painter who is a master of light.....this one more figurative.......and doing it all with paint....no metallic foils or leafs......Awesome work and he is amazingly prolific. He has a huge body of work for such a young man.Jeremy Mann.

NOSTALGIA SITES

Do you belong to any of those nostalgia sites, where people post photos from back in the day? I belong to 4 of them...One of them is from my childhood home in Norway and 3 from here in BC. Most of the time it's ho-hum.....photos and memories that I don't really relate to.....Then sometimes, something really hits home.....like the film of a parade from the 50's ...and there, a close-up of my dear departed brother playing the trumpet in his school band as a 12 year-old.....Wearing his band-uniform, his round red cheeks blowing his golden trumpet for all he's worth....and I burst into tears and laughter simultaneously.......as I realize that there is no one in the world to share it with......
There are many memories from one site......My senior high basketball team winning the championship....lots of people to share that with......all those wonderful people I have lost touch with......who I now encounter as grandparents.......
There was one old guy......A still robust and handsome man....I recognize his name.....His parents were friends with my parents....I looked through his public photos.......he looks like he works hard and plays hard....I once had great affection for this man......And then, suddenly his living face bursts through my memories..half a century later....it's that grin....he still has the same grin.....the one that got him forgiveness for his outrageous mischief every time.....The grin that even his father could not resist when he was lecturing him on his bad behaviour......He got in more trouble and more often than anyone else and was universally beloved.......I look at a photo of him with his 2 beautiful adult daughters and they look at him the same way.....angry and melting simultaneously. What a talent....He remains the sweetest, kindest, friendliest asshole anyone ever met.

I studied his work years ago and attempted to achieve even a small amount of the luminosity in his work.....to no avail....LOL...I greatly admire what he has achieved, but find it a bit much.....He doesn't share what he has learned and I don't blame him, but I hope he passes on more of his knowledge before he disappears into the luminous.......Amazing achievement.......I would love to see his work in person.....and meet him.....such a craftsman...

My life is a constant battle between wanting to correct grammar and wanting to have friends.......
The past, the present,
and the future
walked into a bar.
It was tense.
The power of punctuation...
"Let's eat Grandma! "
"Let's eat, Grandma!"
"Your dinner"
"You're dinner"
One leaves you nourished and the other leaves you dead. Correct grammar saves lives.
Autocorrect has become my worst enema.
