Bill Cosby - Guilty or Innocent?

I assume it's alright to put up this topic, given all the current issues that I've seen in blogs. Anyhow, I've been amazed by how many people still don't believe Bill Cosby is guilty of what he has been accused of. Do I believe that ALL of the women are telling the truth, not really. Do I believe that ALL these women are liars, in conspiracy to bring him down? Unlikely. As the expression goes, where there's smoke, there's fire.

What I would love to see is the laws changing regarding the statute of limitations. I think there should be exceptions made in the case of serial and for any crime when there are multiple victims saying pretty much the same thing.

In Bill Cosby's case, on the remote chance that he is telling the truth, let him take a lie detector test administered by someone that he would have no idea who ahead of time. Otherwise, he could pay them off. It should be taken in front of his lawyer and the prosecuting lawyer and in fact, the results calculated and given to both lawyers at the same time. The women should have to do the same. iF necessary, a test could be done twice or 3 times, to ensure accuracy.

If I was being accused of a crime and I was innocent, I would DEMAND a lie detector test to clear my name. Wouldn't you?

For those of you that enjoyed the first installment, here's more pictures.

Picture 1: scene from my gondola ride in Venice. I was on a gondola next to the one shown. The gondolier was gorgeous. Mine was busy smoking and dancing and talking to his buddies.

Picture 2: The best hot chocolate in the world and I don't even like hot chocolate. Paris really has food to die for.

Pic 3: Flamenco show in Barcelona. We followed that with a wonderful tapas dinner. Tapas are small plates.

Pic 4: Mykonos, Greece. Beautiful scenery and lovely jewellery. We enjoyed the scenery and bought unique jewellery as gifts.

Pic 5: You might have noticed by now that we loved Venice.

Pic 6: At the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, the Gold Stage Coach used at the Golden Jubilee.

I have to admit that I am scared to death of flying. I don't know how to swim either so boats aren't my thing, though I have been on some short 2 hour tours. Basically I had avoided any and all such activities (plane or ship or anything adventurous) for a good 25 years. Last year, I was thinking about some of my friends that died and realized that there were places I wanted to get to see while I can. You never know what life has in store. I told my sister and she didn't believe me at first. Same with my boyfriend. I can't blame them because the last time I had a trip of any kind was 15 years and I went into shock the last time I took a plane. Once I make up my mind to do something, I do it.

My sister and I went on my dream trip. My sister had been to Europe but I had never been past the USA. I had always wanted to go to Paris and London. She wanted Barcelona, Spain. We ended up going away for 25 days May 2014. That was the perfect time to go. The weather was excellent. We went to Paris, Barcelona and then took a Mediterranean cruise and then ended with London, England. We had the time of our lives and sharing it with my sister, made it all the more special. I can't afford another trip like this but it was worth every cent. The memories will last a lifetime.

Please let me know if it's alright to post vacation pictures on our blogs.

Picture 1: Florence, Italy. Gates of Paradise depicting scenes from the Old Testament.

I confess - I do love reality shows

It all began after watching Big Brother on its first season. Dr. Will's girlfriend used a guy's toothbrush on the toilet and then put it back where she found it. Obviously she didn't tell the guy she did that. It was for revenge. Who would ever think of doing such a thing? I was hooked.

I watch the Bachelor and all its forms, whether it's the Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise (or whatever it was called). I watched them all. Celebrity Apprentice is another favorite. I still can't get over Joan Rivers calling Annie Dukes, Hitler. I would have fired Joan for doing that.

I watch reality food competitions like MasterChef and Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen. I'm sure I'm forgetting others I watch. I'm not even into cooking but still I love watching them all.

I'm Canadian so I watch both the US and Canadian versions of The Amazing Race, Big Brother and yes, the Bachelor. Thank heavens for PVRs.

Do you watch any reality shows? If I'm the only one here that watches them, I'll hang my head in disgrace and of course, hide this blog post. lol

Should women dye their hair?

I have pondered this for awhile now. When I was younger, I was called the usual redheaded things like rusty, carrot top, little red and more. It bothered me being a redhead. As I got older, I started getting a ton of compliments about my red hair and suddenly I was happy to be a redhead. It's part of who I am but as we age hair color changes and even though I am still mainly red, there are parts that are white/grey. I asked my hairdresser and she said people pay to have my hair color but I'm not sure if she's right.

Do you think a woman should/shouldn't color her hair? If I did, I would just keep my natural color to color the areas that are no longer red.

Men have it good in this area, as women know. I think salt and pepper hair is very distinguished and sexy.

Happy Family Day to all my fellow Canadians!!!

All I need for Valentine's Day

It's that time of the year again. Women tend to love it and men tend to hate it. I can't figure out why... kidding. My boyfriend read me a poem he wrote for me and it was nice but HE didn't like it. He began another one and said he was having trouble. Then he proceeded to tell me how he felt. Just really sweet things and I was practically in tears. I said that was so nice and that he didn't need to worry about poems. Hearing his loving words was all I needed. What do you need to make your Valentine's Day happy?

Thought I'd beat the rush to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. I have always felt that EVERYONE should be treated well on Valentine's Day especially women (sorry I had to add that). When I didn't have my boyfriend, other family members treated me or I treated myself. So, be good to yourself. You deserve it!!!

I have to add that over dinner, someone told me there is now ANTI-VALENTINE'S DAY. I never heard of such a thing. Is that new?

Delete or Not Delete? - THAT is the question

On my last post, someone asked me if I deleted or censored some of the comments that were made. She said she felt some were missing. I was a bit upset by that comment because I knew I hadn't deleted any comments on that post. I wasn't even aware that one could censor a comment. I thought the choices were delete or accept them. I accepted ALL of the comments on that post.

Last night I was thinking about it and thought, why would it matter if I did delete any comments, when that is something that SFF gives a blogger the ability to do? Have I deleted any comments on any of my blog posts? The answer is YES. I am honest enough to say that I did. When the issue about my story being removed happened and I wrote a post about it, there were some that wrote things that were downright nasty or could affect my career. Luckily there were only a few that did that (maybe even only a couple but my memory isn't what it used to be). They hadn't read my story but their attitude could affect my book sales and I won't risk anything related to my career. Other than that, I haven't deleted anything.

Again, censoring is something I wasn't aware of and IF it really is something that could be done, I wouldn't do it. Either I let someone's comments stand or I don't. I won't change anything that's put and it shouldn't be an option to do that, assuming that person was correct.

For the record, I have kept comments that haven't been favorable to myself, including the one that asked if I deleted or censored the comments that were made. Had I been the type to delete anything unfavorable, that comment certainly would have been deleted.

In the case of the woman that deleted my last comments on her post and later banned me: Did she have the right to delete my later messages, when I asked her to tell me why she was upset since I couldn't figure it out? Yes she did. Did she have the right to ban me? Absolutely. We all have the right to do what SFF gives us the right to do here, nothing more and nothing less.

Do you feel that bloggers here should be able to delete comments?

Have you made any real friendships here?

I've read about some love relationships that developed from this site. That's wonderful. It got me wondering if any friendships have resulted from here. I know that many people like each other but do you correspond outside of this site? In other words is this site good to make new friends besides love connections? Just curious.

As we get older, we don't have the opportunity to make friends at school and usually work is either over with or we meet the same individuals at our jobs or work from home. It's hard to make new meaningful friendships. Is this a good place to make everlasting friendships?
