Just for a change!

Two politicians are having lunch together; all of a sudden one stood up and shouted, "You are lying." The other replied, "I know but just hear me out."

The candidate went to his doctor to get the report of his brain scam. The doctor told him that he had some bad news for the candidate. He said further, “First, we have discovered that your brain has two sides: the left side and the right side." The candidate interrupted the doctor, "Well, that’s normal, isn’t it? I thought everybody had two sides to their brain?" ?" The doctor replied, "That’s true, but your brain is very unusual because on the left side there isn’t anything right, while on the right side there isn’t anything left.”

I borrower of a bank who happens to be a poliitician, received an e-mail from his bank which reads as under:
“Your payments are outstanding”.
The borrower replied,” Thanks for the compliment.”

Where could you find such a perfect man who

- wakes up early in the morning everyday

-exercises every morning

-makes his own bed

-cleans his room
-
Works sincerely

-does not touch alcohol

-helps in the kitchen

-does not indulge in night life

_always punctual
-
Prays daily

-hits the bed at 9 PM sharp

Could anyone please tell where such a perfect man can be found?

Dear readers, 0ne of my friend from an Asian country has sent me the riddle this morning. I have not been told about it's origin. May be, my friend has collected it from somewhere to test my IQ!

HORIZONS and SKYLINES!!

Apparent Horizon.

I wonder if any of the readers of my blogs ever had the opportunity to run across a vast open space of land during childhood to touch the line where the earth meets the sky!
I could still remember the morning when my dad told me that I could never touch that line as it does not exist in reality. Therefore, I must not exhaust my energy by running to touch something imaginary like the line that I was viewing many miles away from where we were standing.. Did I understand what my dad told me on that day? To speak the truth, I must say now that I did not understand my dad at al at that time.

I now know that the line what I always wanted to touch when I was a , is called horizon! It is the line that separates the Earth from the sky. To view the unobstructed horizon, the right places are beaches, where the ocean meets the sky in an uninterrupted line.
Unfortunately, the mega city dwellers like me, could not view such interrupted Skyline (another name of horizon) due to obstructions caused by elevated features such as trees, mountains, or buildings. Such interrupted skylines are called local horizons.

But what is meant by the term ‘true horizon”?

It “is the imaginary plane that passes through the canter of the earth perpendicular to the radius of the Earth. From orbit, the true horizon is spherical, following the shape of the Earth.”

Things are now getting complicated for me again after Seventy Years from that sunny morning when my dad tried to tell his seven years old about the line that can not ever be touched physically! Therefore, I must refrain myself from bothering about the term “True Horizon”. In stead I may append the pictures depicting various kinds of Horizons and Skylines to see and ponder,

Happy viewing, dear viewers!

How could anyone ever tell you
You were anything less than beautiful

How could anyone ever tell you
you were less than the whole

How could anyone fail to notice
that your loving is miracle

How deeply you're connected to my soul.

Others could also listen to this wonderful song on 'You Tube'. Shaina Noll is the singer.

To me, painting is a story told by a painter, in colors that is always a feast for the eyes. A blank canvas may look beautiful but random splash of paints of different colors makes it lively and wonderful. Sometimes, a painting can be more vivid than a well written story book! A single painting can speak thousand words! It can reproduce almost everything that a painter observes around him. It talks silently to those who would like to listen silently!

Dear readers, are you interested to listen to stories constantly being told by the two paintings that are reproduced below?
They are known to the art world here as the Dhaka Masterpieces! These two paintings are the works of the famous painter, Zohann Zoffany done in the year 1787.
The first painting depicted the animated scene and exquisite detail of the ‘South Gate of the Lalbagh Fort, Dhaka. The second one tells us the vivid story of the then‘Nagaphon Ghat,’ Narinda, Dhaka.

Both the paintings have special meanings to me. I used to pass by the south gate more than once daily while I was doing my Masters in the university of Dhaka. But the scenes were different as it was the 5th decade of the twentieth century. The Narinda Nagaphon Ghat was another place where we used ti go from time to time to pass our afternoons.

Details:
1 animated scene and exquisite detail: ‘The South Gate of the Lalbagh,’ Dhaka, 1787, oil on canvas, 66 x 76 cm, by Zohann Zoffany, collection: Charles Greig, UK
2.. Hauntingly beautiful: ‘Nagaphon Ghat,’ Narinda, Dhaka, 1787, oil on canvas, 66 x 76 cm, by Zohann Zoffany, collection: Charles Greig, UK..

Thanks for stopping by................................

Politics, Politicians, and Diapers!

" Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason&quot

The single line quote posted at above tells everything in detail about the characteristics of most of the people who indulge in politics for a living in different countries of the world, especially where democracy is practiced. The words such as politics, politician and diaper had their origin in Greece and are gifts to the world from the Greek people.

This famous quote, probably originated around 1992, ridiculing the politicians, has been attributed to multiple sources, that includes Mark Twain, José Maria de Eça de Queiroz, and Unknown people. It is however useless to try to establish who had uttered these adorable words for the first time and under what circumstance? People around the world who adore this quote believe that it has still relevance to present day world.
However, some of us may consider the comment as a gripping snapshot of how deceptive politicians could be and as such the comment IS highly controversial.

What do you say, dear readers? Do you adore the comment like some of us or you have different views to offer?
Kindly feel free to enlighten us.

A Dream Retold

Perhaps It Was Not A Dream.

Do you still dream what you used to dream years before?

When was the last time you dreamt of him calling you from somewhere in the woods where you two used to pass the time together?

Do you dream of the bank of the stream where you used to sit together watching it continuously carry massive quantities of water downstream to deliver into the river that flowed relentlessly towards the ocean?

Do you still dream of the onrushing flood water coming to drown you and hear him shouting at you not to be scared or worried as he was there to take you back home?

Perhaps you do not dream the dreams anymore now!

Maybe, you dream of someone whispering love verses in your ears while you are in a deep sleep.

Never mind, here is the dream retold that you dreamt of many years before!

[/S

I found myself going somewhere-----maybe to a nearby place, and suddenly I heard your voice calling, ‘Fimouuuuuuuuur’!
I looked around and I saw you a little far, --- probably in a parking place. You were sitting inside a car in the driving seat; the car seemed to be green and grey colored.
Then I hide because I was in my shorts, but I still looked at you from afar, and still, you were calling me aloud.
I was reluctant to go towards you right at that moment. Therefore, I stayed where I was------ hiding and still gazing at you!
I heard you calling me again very loud, ‘Fimouuuuuuuuur’!
I responded, telling you that I would be there after changing into the trouser you like me to wear!

I turned back to return home. Suddenly, I felt like turning back to see you in that green and grey car. I could see you still looking toward me. However, this time I saw someone in white sitting beside you in the car! The person looked like a woman in a white Shawl to me or was it something else? Was it a Saree? I could not be sure though! Maybe, I was wrong! Maybe, there was none beside you!

I started walking back towards my home thinking aloud, ‘have I seen a woman dressed in white with you in that car? If that were so then I must not come back to you after changing into the trouser!
I strolled on the newly asphalted road which passed by my home. Frequently, I looked back as you did neither stop calling me nor removed your eyes from me!
At last, I could reach the top of the road that went up to the high ground. I started to go down the road when the onrushing floodwater came into my view and heard your voice fainting until I heard it no more! I turned back to see you when a voice told me, “do not worry. I shall take you home!”

Was it you who took me home last night?
If not, then why did I feel your warmth continuing the next morning when I woke up?

Rio Olympics gold medallist rhythmic gymnast Margarita Mamun’s father has died of cancer at his home in Moscow, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has confirmed to bdnews24.com.

Abdullah Al Mamun Shipar from Durgapur Upazila in northern Rajshahi district was 52.

The state minister said he had been suffering from cancer for the last few months. He was discharged from hospital some six days back.

“He died at his home Friday afternoon (Russian time),” he said. Mamun suffered a heart attack two weeks ago during treatment.

The Olympic victory of Margarita, who was born in Moscow, has also been celebrated in Bangladesh, which she had once represented as a junior.

The state minister who met the family last year on his official visit to Moscow recalled that Mamun had promised him to take her to Bangladesh after the Olympics.

“But he lost the cancer battle,” Shahriar said.

Mamun would be buried in Moscow and his namaz-e-janana would be held at the largest mosque in Moscow.

“Bangladesh embassy representatives would be there in the rituals.”
