In life, we create problems in relationship and interaction when we do not allow our loved ones the space that they need for their own flights of fancy, activity and choices. That is my reason for choice of this tit le SPACE for my blogs.

Best wishes to all.

The more we use words like ‘i, me and myself’, the further we will go from truth; we will become more limited and finite. Here is an experiment we can try consciously: try not to use these words: i, me, myself. Try not to even think about these words. Then the Divine will find expression through us. “To forget yourself means to know thyself,” said the Mother, echoing what the Bhagwad Gita says. When expressions are full of ‘i, me, myself’, then they refer to our body and mind. The deeper we go inside, the more we get connected to our psychic nature. Our problems will disappear. We will feel free and wise. The more conscious we are, the less our ‘i’ speaks; it becomes less active. The less conscious we are, the more our ‘i’ becomes active

We often confuse individuality with ego. When we say ‘individuality’, we do not mean individuality of mind, body and emotions, but of our soul.

Ego misleads us … it makes us drift away from thinking. Ego is flattering so we feel comfortable and our ego is satisfied. That way our capacities grow. Then one day, after years of experience, something awakens in us and realization dawns on us that we are not just limited to what we think of ourselves but are much more in our abilities, intelligence and emotions than what we thought when in the state of bloated ego.

When we grow with ego and false identities, we have no faith in ourselves. With false identity, our faith will never grow.

Preoccupation with worries about how to survivedoes not permit us to live with sincerity and without sincerity, faith cannot grow. Sincerity is the key…. As soon as sincerity begins to grow, faith also strengthens. Without sincerity, we can never have faith in ourselves where Divine resides.

Wherever we put our faith, we will start receiving energy from that source. With faith in ourselves, the Divine manifests in us. Individuality means that only soul coexists with the Divine exists.

Sincerity comes when one has higher aspirations or higher clarity of consciousness. Where there is lack of clarity, there is lack of sincerity. Therefore, we need to check your aspiration; if it is 100 per cent, our aspiration will help sincerity grow within you. Take some time off, sit quietly and find out what our role in life is and what your life requires from us.

- This canine lady thinks that she must cross the legs the way her master does.

- This dolphin feels that she must hug the way people do by enveloping them in their arms.

- This is the self-appointed designated driver post the revelry that his master and mistress have gone far.

- The young cat is sending a card from Care2 to her current boyfriend.

The cats box, a watches TV as keenly as his master, a dolphin swims arm in arm with his girl friend and a chimp rides a bicycle. These are in videos that I have been unable to reproduce in my post.

Aren't they at least as humans as we are ??

Have a lovely day, All My Friends. Love, hugs & KsOCs appropriately.

“There is always temptation to cheat in all of us, but it is up to our will power” (to stem it), says tennis ace Boris Becker.

India had elections to the State Legislature in Karnataka. The electorate, fed up of corruption by the then ruling party, showed them the door. Consensus eludes the newly elected leaders, however, since there is a race for the ‘plum’ ministerial berths.

Is it necessary for an elected representative to have a lucrative assignment to serve the electorate?

Temptation does not discriminate between rich and poor, civilised and uncivilised, educated and uneducated. How is that temptation overpowered by the will power? Two question that come to mind are - does the social and moral fear aid willpower aid and does the opportunity make a person corrupt ? Or is corruption simply innate in some ??

The story goes to the court of the great Moghul Emperor Akbar. There was a complaint against a courtier for indulging in corrupt practices but clear evidence was not available. The King consulted the learned Birbal, a senior courtier. Birbal advised Akbar to warn the corrupt colleague of dire consequences but Akbar for lack of proof, assigned the accused courtier to an insignificant job contrary to the advice.

The assignment was simple – this courtier was assigned to record the number of waves of river Yamuna River in Delhi that hit the shore from dawn to dusk. After about a week, Akbar asked Birbal if the courtier counting the waves had found a way to make money. Birbal said the courtier had, indeed. Surprised, Akbar did not quite believe what Birbal had told him so decided to quiz the culprit. Birbal said the courtier will not confess courtier will not confess unless granted a royal pardon in advance.

When asked, the Courtier, after initial vehement denial, having been granted a royal pardon and given other enticements, confessed that he was, indeed, making money. He told the Emperor that after a few days of counting the waves he found the job boring and told the ferry men that he had been posted there to collect a toll fee and to check the number of passengers in the boat while crossing the river. The boatmen paid him for each crossing.

Corruption does not need opportunities, it is innate IN ALL SOCIETIES (but we, in India, seem, unfortunately, to take the lead); it is a mind set. Temptation will lead everyone to cheat but, it is with basic integrity coupled with morality and social pressure, that corruption can be eliminated. Exemplary punishment acts as a deterrent.

A C/P from 'Dave'swordsofwisdom' :-

Types of people on the Facebook

2) The "Lurker" – Never posts or comments on your post, but reads everything, and might make reference to your status if they see you in public

3) The "Hyena" – Doesn't ever really say anything, just LOLs and LMAOs at everything

4) "Mr/Ms Popular" – Has 4,567 friends for NO reason

5) The "Gamer" – Plays Words With Friends, Mafia Wars, Bakes
virtual cakes and stuff, etc., ALL DAY

6) The "Cynic" – Hates their life, and everything in it, as evidenced by the somber tone in ALL of their status updates

The "Promoter" – Always sends event invitations to things that you ultimately delete or ignore

9) The "Liker" – Never actually says anything, but always clicks the "like" button

10) "Drama Queen/ King" – This person always posts stuff like "I can't believe this!", or "They gonna make me snap today!", in the hopes that you will ask what happened, or what's wrong but then they never finish telling the story

11) The "News" – Always updates you on what they are doing and who they are doing it with, no matter how arbitrary, and Lastly

12) The "Thief" – Steals status updates... and will probably steal this one.

Now you can see that I am the last one. Lol @ myself.

Reproducing an ANI news item of 22 May 2013 :-

Washington, May 22 ( ANI ): A self-proclaimed Saudi cleric said that if women turn on air-conditioners at home in their husband's absence could lead to moral depravities.

The man claiming to be Salafist-Wahhibist cleric posted on Twitter that if any woman turns on the cooler ventilator in the absence of her husband, someone might notice her presence home and this might bring about immorality.

Salafists and Wahhibists are ultra-conservatives of Sunni Muslims hailing from Saudi Arabia and have issued frequent fatwas in the past.

According to the Washington Times, in an earlier incident another cleric claiming to be of the Salafist sect posted on YouTube a video claiming of non-Sunni and non-Muslim women as acceptable.

You may have come across it, My Friends - but laugh anyway -

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.

I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my husband would be pleasant and say, 'Happy Birthday!', and possibly have a small present for me.

As it turned out, he barely said good morning, let alone
' Happy Birthday.'

I thought...... well, that's marriage for you, but the .... they would remember.

My came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word..

So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent..

As I walked into my office, my handsome Boss Rick, said,
'Good Morning, lady, and by the way Happy Birthday! '

It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.

I worked until one o'clock , when Rick knocked on my door and said, 'You know, it's such a beautiful day outside,
and it is your birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me.....'

I said, 'Thanks, Rick, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!'

We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. He chose instead a quiet bistro with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.

On the way back to the office, Rick said, 'You know, it's such a beautiful day... we don't need to go straight back to the office, do we?' I responded, 'I guess not. What do you have in mind?' He said, 'Let's drop by my place, it's just around the corner.'

After arriving at his house, Rick turned to me and said, If you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment. I'll be right back.'
'Ok.' I replied nervously .

He went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes,
he came out carrying a huge birthday cake ..... followed by my husband my , and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing 'Happy Birthday'.

And I just sat there....

On the couch......

SOME REASONS TO BE MORE PRESENT IN OUR OWN LIVES

Sharing my read of this morning with you all

Have you ever lost your car keys? Or arrived at the grocery store and realized you’ve left your wallet at home? I have, and I’ll bet many of you have, too. You know how much stress and anxiety these situations create, they happen all because we were not present when we put our keys down (somewhere!) or were preparing to go to the store.

Cultivating a practice of deliberate presence can help us be more relaxed, productive and confident in our daily activities. This practice is not about erasing our thoughts. It’s about becoming aware of the process of thinking so that we are not in a trance – lost inside our thoughts (which is when we lose our keys!). That’s the big difference. To train in becoming aware of thoughts can help us notice when our mind is actively thinking, either using the label “thinking, thinking,” or identifying the kind of thought — “worrying, worrying,” “planning, planning.” Then, we can change our focus to what is happening right here and now.

Here are Reasons To Be More Present In Your Life:

SAVE TIME

Looking for lost items takes up a lot of time, not to mention the stress that goes with it. By taking a few extra seconds to be more deliberate when you put things away, you can save yourself time and stress. And you gain more enjoyment in your day!

SAVE MONEY

The last time I lost my house key, I had to pay a locksmith to come out and let me in to my own home. Being lost in thoughts can get expensive. It only takes a few extra seconds to stop, breathe, come into the present moment and check we have everything we need, or check an email before we send it out, or whatever it is that our present moment requires. The investment of a few extra seconds of time can save us a lot of MONEY… and stress!

BE MORE RELAXED, CONFIDENT, AND CALM

When you are not scurrying around in a state of high anxiety because you can’t find something, you feel good because you know you are well-prepared for your trip. In that relaxed state, your self-confidence is strong, you are at your productive, creative best, and you know that you can handle any unexpected circumstance that might arise with focus and clarity.

BUILD BETTER RELATIONSHIPS

When you listen with deliberate presence, the other person feels heard and has a tendency to trust you more. Trust is the cornerstone of all relationship-building, whether it’s with friends and family, at work, or even random people you meet at the grocery store or when travelling. Being present is a likeability factor, and gains you respect, friendships, and good things happening.

EXPERIENCE LESS JUDGMENT AND MORE LOVE

Being deliberately present gives you choice. At the moment in which you pause and realize that these thoughts are not really serving me, you have the option to come back to presence. This process of choosing becomes more powerful as you realize how thoughts can create suffering and separation. They can create an “us” and a “them.” They create judgment. Deliberate presence allows us to see people (and ourselves!) without judgment, which opens us to being more kind, compassionate, and loving.

GAIN GREATER SELF-AWARENESS AND MORE LOVE

As our practice deepens, we become more aware of our thoughts. This gives us the opportunity to assess them and notice that much of the time our thoughts are not really serving us. Many thoughts are driven by fear and lock us into insecurity. We realize we don’t have to believe our thoughts! They are not reality. Presence gives us the opportunity to be kinder to ourselves.

ACTIVATE THE POSITIVE LAW OF ATTRACTION

The Law of Attraction states that we get what we vibrate. The more present we are, the more we can be aware of our thoughts and feelings, and keep them positive. Becoming more in mastery of what we are transmitting energetically, changes what we are attracting and life becomes easier and more positive, and joyful.

GAIN INTEGRITY

Integrity means being connected to yourself – body, mind, heart and soul. You are in an optimal state to respond to daily occurrences.

Integrity also means making three agreements with yourself:

* Saying yes, when you mean yes.
* Saying no when you mean no.
* Always doing what you say you are going to do.

A practice of deliberate presence helps you to tune in with yourself. Then you respond to situations from a place of inner integration and feel good about yourself. It’s easier to make decisions and keep your word.

The key here is that we approach this practice with gentleness and kindness. Each time we recognize thinking and come back into the present moment we are planting a seed of awareness. We are creating a new habit – a new way of being in the world. The incessant buzz of thoughts in our minds starts to take a back seat. We live in what is true – the aliveness, vulnerability, and honesty of the present moment – rather than in the story line of our thoughts. We experience the courage to be our true selves.
