Quite often we are given hints or advice as to staying on the right side of Santa.

However; as you can see just which of Santa's lists I am on...

A Merry Christmas to all our friends from JD, Ruby, Rosie, Ronnie, Pumpkin and your's truly... Bret.

For those members with Blog Complaints ! The First Amendment provides that Congress makes no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

FIX... Fix... fix...

Every now and then I get a stupid idea to "FIX" something. I'd had a small chip out of a corner of a slate block in my kitchen floor. I was dumb and didn't take a "Before" picture.

I mixed some oil based multi-purpose Black Enamel paint with some Portland Cement.

I leveled in the chipped area. Then cleaned away the excess. Once it is cured I will clean the edged area better.

I set a chair over the repair to keep our quadrupedic family from walking on the repair until it is dried.\

Winter Solstice

Winter solstice 2022 occurs on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 4:48 p.m. EST ( 16:48 ) for the Northern Hemisphere. DO NOT go rushing it at Dawn! There are observatories built for the exact time these dates occur. It’s the astronomical moment when the Sun reaches the Tropic of Capricorn, we have our shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere in terms of daylight. Irregardless of what the weather is doing outside your window, the solstice marks the official start of winter.

This is for those who won't be hanging around Stonehenge tomorrow.

We have a major blizzard on the way and I have a bit of a quandary......

We generally give the guys who work for us a pretty healthy chunk of change for a Christmas Present.

I went into town and picked up the coins at the bank.... they're laying on the desk right now.

I could be back in the Caymens before anyone was the wiser...................

Maybe I am not viewing in the proper perspective, however, my online friends in here could enlighten me into the correct impression. When I write a blog I attempt to create an article many might enjoy reading where they'd be entertained and learn something with a smile.

Why would you post a blog that is deliberately demeaning, hurtful, and denigrative of other members in here? Yes.... we have opposing political, religious, and social views... hell I run across that just getting a haircut or grocery shopping but I don't yell at them pointing a finger with malicious profanities. With the Holiday Season why not examine a new path for posting; positive, enlightening, entertaining and informative blogs without deliberately insulting another member.

I was digging around in the pantry and stumbled across a jar of Strawberry Jam made by the hands of my Grandmother.

The mouth of the jar was sealed with paraffin.

Amazingly the jam is still good! I put a spoon of the sweet treat on top of Vanilla Cheese Cake Pudding.
