The Next Step...

The yard sale is basically over.

I didn't have a lot to sell and what is left after 2 days barely covers one table.

What I made from the yard sale and selling bash decor, etc. is $249.00. Of course that isn't enough to accomplish my goal so it becomes seed money.

$25.00 (the tithe) is going to my church's youth program.

The balance is going to be used to make Christmas ornaments to be sold at the Portland Harvest Craft Sale in November.

Now, once again I am asking for advice and help. If you have ideas or patterns, etc. for hand crafted Christmas ornaments would you please share them with me? I have a small team of workers (10 ladies) who will be making these. We are willing to learn any skills necessary to make this a success.

You just don't know how much I appreciate all the help friends from SFF have given me already and I am thanking you in advance for anything else you are able to do.

We made the most on Christmas ornaments that were personalized...I can't do it but one gal was great & would put the names on them right there while they waited & we sold all we had..cost $1 sold for $5...people really liked them as so many have unusual names that you don't find most places..we also made ahead some that said Baby's First Christmas & the year & sold all of those also...and some that said "My First Christmas as Nana" and the year. We also took orders for candles with pictures on them and they were a big hit also..you can find the instructions how to do them on-line..it is very easy and the usually go for about $ 20 each...cost is about $3...but does involve work.
Also Christmas stockings that are personalized are a big hit!I will keep my eyes open for ideas for you and look through some books I used back then if I still have them.Good luck!!!

Some believe in destiny, some believe in fate. I believe that happiness is something we create
