Yard Sales And Flea Markets

Have you ever had a yard or garage sale or participated in a flea market, consignment shop or arts and crafts sale? What about bake sales, cosmetic sales, party sales, catering or maid services?
Would you share information about your experience with me?
I am attempting to generate income to establish a home and training facility for disadvantaged young adults. Any information you could share with me would be very helpful.

Joy

As I'm not sure exactly how large a city you live in I don't know if this would work. But it might be worth looking into. And that is doing temporary work for some of the larger companies. I know here Conoco Phillips hires outsiders sometimes to come in a do some of the work that is needed down. But not enough personal to do it. And not enough work to really hire a full time employ. This may give them the chance to work at varied things a know which one they are best suited for. Which helps them in their journey.

Also was thinking maybe about being a temporary help service. Like the old Kelly Girls. Only now both men and women can find employment through them. But once again that takes getting a hold of several companies and trying to get them to "come on board." But I'm sure there would be some willing to help you in them areas.

Not sure how feasible either one of these are in your area. But something to consider. As for getting funds fast. The best way is through a yard sale or like adventure. But these usually aren't permanent. Whereas a temp job may turn into something permanent.

Hope this helps you . If nothing else at least unknowing what you wouldn't want to do LOL.

And I can see your point in not wanting "handouts'. But I once again suggest that you contact organizations, churches, Things like this to get someone who can help them with the things they need to learn. Like budgeting.Health care. These sort of things. Don't be afraid to ask someone for a bit of help. Maybe not financially. But at least with their knowledge.
