It is not so much the destination as it is the journey. I have enjoyed the journey thus far, know myself well, and like who I am as a result. I am a blue-eyed brunette who is just as comfortable dressed in leather and on the back of a bike as I am in evening dress. I am not getting older, I am getting better and am ready to laugh and love, dance and dip, and adore and admire.
I am a romantic who is practical, a grounded idealist, and a conservative liberal easily entertained by intelligent "tit for tat" and laughing. I am an avid reader, especially stimulated by the study of psychology, human behavior, and my geneology. I am moved by the pride of parades, the pomp of concert bands, the patriotism of the National Anthem, and the trusting innocence of . I despise racism, bigotry, abuse, and what alcohol and other drugs do to families. My passion is for theatre and travel and I yearn to sing with the locals again in the pubs of Edinburgh and to sit front row, dress-circle in London theatres to watch something brilliant like my favorite musical, Les Miserables.
Spending time with friends and family laughing and loving is definately quality time, as is time alone with myself reading or writing or meditating. Courage, resiliency, and intimacy inspire me and I have a passion for meeting people outside of my cultural sphere.
My goal is to enjoy life young and it would not be unusual to catch me discussing issues with adolescents, dancing barefoot in my kitchen, playing with in warm dirt, taking a road trip on a bright day, or loudly singing along to tunes--on key or not.
My Ideal Person
I look for a natural peacemaker and an architect of harmony and love, a spirited confidente, a collector of respect, an engineer of romance, and a realistic dreamer, who easily laughs at his own character defects and is connected to the universal spirituality.
Take me to small and intimate people gatherings, with everyone contributing and everyone laughing together, enjoying the discovery of one another or quietly sit with me as we each read our favorites, occasionally sharing a smile.
In A Perfect World... you and I would have lively conversation face-to-face, intellectually playing in "tit for tat" and laughing at our own character defects. We would sing along loudly to the oldies but goodies and dance barefootin' across the kitchen floor. You would share with me all of your secrets and what you know of the world and I would do the same and we would be fast friends, create wonderful memories, and forget one another nevermore *quothe the raven*
