People Skills - 5/19/2004

One might think that as we grow older, we might acquire a more gentle nature about us. I have to wonder just what has happened, to make some of the people on SFF so angry. What happened to the social graces, we were taught by our parents. Have we become so complacent, that there is no room in our lives for the nicer things. Everyone knows that a relationship, requires all aspects of ones ...

Honesty Is The Best Policy - 5/3/2004

While it is true, a lot of people are sincere, and honest. There are those who tell half truths. Wouldn't it be better to disclose the real person, rather than having to explain why you are not the person you portrayed yourself to be.

Why are we limited to 260 lines for emails between new contact? - 4/22/2004

I have been emailing with someone. We sent 4 emails back and forth and had used up the entire 260 line limit. All of a sudden you have to make up your mind in you want to give out your email address, which SFF recommends that you do not do. It would help if they raised the limit to 1, 000. You should be able by then to decide if this is the person that you want to have your email ...

My response was never posted - 4/3/2004

I replied to one of the posts and waited to see if it was posted. I now just noticed a whole lot of new questions have been posted and never did get to see my response if it was posted. As a standard member you are only allowed to see so many questions or so it seems. If the numbers go beyond that you have to be a paying member in order to read those other ones prior to that. I find it a ...

Pessimism or realism? - 3/30/2004

Reading the article about the "players"online can certainly leave one jaded. But how about the sincere people who are looking for a mate, a friend, a lover? Putting aside the married and already taken people, there are those who are here for an honest search. Too bad the rest can't stop believing the "grass is always greener on the other side." Save the waste of time, and go to a site ...

How about cement? - 3/28/2004

Perfect hair is held with mousse and hairspray. It suits the face so well and makes ordinary costumes look marvellous when a lady is all put together..or a man, I suppose. But I have never run my fingers through the hair of a man with hairspray. So, when hair is cemented with spray, is it a turn off to touch it? Sobriquet

What's a women to do when confronted with so many married men? - 3/19/2004

I wonder how many woman / men have counted the number of married/living with someone people on SFF. To me it seems to be at least 50%. It reconfirms my wariness to remarry, knowing that a great deal of men are always looking for a little "discreet" relationship. I hope I will be discerning enough to identify these men when I meet them, as I prefer dating men who are emotionally, ...

What place do marriage vows have in Internet dating sites? - 3/18/2004

For better or worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part. Perhaps these don't apply here to those who are married and say they are "unhappy, bored, not enough sex, etc." Who would want to enter into an intimate relationship with someone who cannot respect their own vows of fidelity, trust and love? Perhaps if we thought less about our own immediate satisfaction and more ...

Question to Seward Park re:wealth - 3/12/2004

You ask why I factor in wealth on the part of the man in polygamous relationships cause gee, I go on the assumption that when you, seigneur of your feudal entitlements would have four fully pregnanat, going into labour, feeling bloated, bent backwards, joints cramping in pain, posture awkward as hell to wall around in, they can't be out slopping the hogs, ploughing the commune garden, ...

Why Do People Hurt Others - 3/9/2004

It never makes a person feel so empty, as when someone leads you to believe they are truly interested in getting to know you. Just let the next available person come along, and you are all of a sudden yesterdays old news. How can someone make a judgment based on a couple of conversations, without even meeting them. I have no idea what men are expecting. I am a very honest person, and I ...

If we didn't live in a monogamous society, how many wives would you anonymous men truly like to have, if you had plenty of wealth to go around? You don't need to sign your names. The King of Siam had 64 . That must have taken a few wives. He had been a monk for 27 years before then. So I hope the fellows will reply. Give us a peek into your natures. Ok? "Married Men Talking To Women They Don't Know" - 12/17/2003

I have been pondering this question in my mind for some time now. What is it about being married to someone, but still having that need to converse with women they don't know? Is it that the cheating factor seems to be non-existent, or is it that they don't have to face this other person and explain themselves! I have been approached by several married men, and I am just wondering why this ...

practical shoes - 12/2/2003

I am 55 and I don't want to wear fashionable shoes now. Nice ones, yes, but not ones that risk a broken ankle or torn ligament. I love to bathe and keep my hair short and washed each day. But I don't want to spend time on curling it. I have lost the interest to do so. I don't care for make-up any more though it was always used minimally. As a 55 year old man, would you ...

If something works why improve it? - 11/6/2003

I live in Eastern Canada. I think there have been about six of us ever in the SFF room and there is a 99.9%pure likelihood that we will encounter people in our region for any purpose. Hence, I am disappointed not to be able to view any new people in the lobby without taking out a membership. I don't come in often enough except in summer for a membership to be worthwhile. I did enjoy reading ...

How about a place where we can meet, take lava baths in warm waters, look at glaciers, I know: Let's go to Iceland in 2006. we can have banquets, entertain each other, set up booths from different participating zones, meet, plan to have the next reunion in 2009 in New Zealand. ...

I would like to know what the men of today are afraid of. They sit back on their hands, and expect us women to beg them for their attention.
