We rely on members to let us know when posts contain content that violiate the
community guidelines. The most common reason that content gets flagged is that it contains dehumanizing or trolling/baiting text. Getting too many flagged posts will result in account termination.

Im beginning to think the ole world pre this Community world was just fine ~
I started thinking of all the spy movies, where the bad guy was an evil group with a catchy name starting with The. The Illumunati. The Directive. The Community.
At least with the old format, there was a workaround to bypass the censors. I've used that workaround for so long, I totally forgot how annoying it is to get the most innocuous thing denied 🙄
The old format had way fewer denials. I'd be very happen to return to dropping words.
I don't use the chat room but sounds like all private messaging has had a price tag attached
@superbjversion2
I tried
I learned, after I wrote this, that Standards don't even have the same options for their posts as golds.
Whatever it is, over time, they keep closing more and more to Standards.
I dislike saying this but there should be a benefit difference between paying and non-paying members. Just not all or nothing!
@superbjversion2 I agree that there should be a difference. My issue is the difference keeps changing.
To be honest I haven't quite understood what's going on as I only come here about once a week and for only a short while. I have a backlog of 9200 alerts on the blogs page.
Do you mean posts with comments set to private cannot be accessed at all by standards, or is it that standards cannot comment on posts that have comments set to private?
Posts that are set to Private can be read by standards but if they try to comment, they get an "Upgrade to Gold" message. Standards can no longer set a post to private or even to pre-review unless it was created before the rule change. Even then, they can not reply to any comments on their own private post.
Haaa, yeah, we got fairly good at reading through the post and gleening the intent.
Seems like no big deal now
Pre-review is not permitted.
In any case, this whole 'shmozel' has reminded me to explore other interests that give me pleasure, rather than come here and get annoyed.
I guess I don't get annoyed because I do explore other interests. I'm not annoyed now. I was just looking for a viable (and cheap) solution.
Thanks for experimenting with this.
I'm afraid that as loopholes get discovered, eventually someone will notice and find a way to close them. 😕
That's only natural. I found parental loopholes as a teen and closed them when I became a parent.
