The past week and a half we have been getting rain at least every other day if not more often. That has certainly the "I just don't feel like writing blahs.". I am declaring that as the official reason I have not been posting comments till today. Today started with rain, a continuation from yesterday afternoon. Then around noon it started to snow big heavy flakes and it has been snowing ever since. Sometimes a very heavy fall and other times just a heavy one. The bottom of the windows have a line of snow stuck between the screen and the glass. The forecast is for the snow to continue through tomorrow. We had snow last week for the Boys HIgh School Basketball Tournament. That happens nearly every year here in Wisconsin. When we heard snow forecast for it most of us thought it would be a dusting. We got several inches. I suspect we are now paying for all the 60 and 70 degree weather we had in February. Why do I fear that we will go directly from cold and snowy to hot summer weather come May?
Despite the weather Diane and I have had a few good times together. Diane and a friend of hers spent Friday at the Madison Civic Center Overture art museums. Saturday was a moderately cloudy and not too chilly day so Diane decided she wanted to show me some of the artwork that impressed her on Friday. So it was off the to Civic Center. Some of the pieces that she really liked were in the hall on the first floor. They were very good. Then we wandered down to the connected Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. It was very interesting. One of the artists have quite a few unusual sculptures. There were quite a few of animals made from hundreds to thousands of gun ammunition shell casings. They were awesome. Wish I had pictures. He also had done two human sculptures, a man and a woman, that were see through and made entirely from medical instruments. Clamps, scissors, etc. He called them The Veterans. I wish I had taken pictures. Then we wandered upstairs to a temporary showing called Imaginary as in Imaginary Numbers. It was all Minimalist Art and quite impressive. We spent well over 2 hours there and then went out for coffee and pastry. Came back after to explore more art. It was a fabulous day taken on the spur of the moment.
Neither Diane or I celebrate Easter but a good friend of ours usually does with family. However, our friend was invited to Easter dinner with a brother's family who is a very rigid conservative "christian" not comfortable with the fact that she is a lesbian and is not very welcoming. Because of that she felt it better for her spirit not to go. Still she did not want to be alone so we three went to dinner at a favorite Chinese restaurant in a nearby town and had a wonderful time. After we dropped her at home Diane and I came to my place for some time together, a bit of massage for Diane and then dessert. I offered her her choice of a Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate with Raspberry square or Raspberry Cheesecake with White Chocolate Flake ice cream. This is what we wound up eating.
Two posts ago I told how I took Diane to Aztalan to celebrate the Equinox and how on the way we stopped at a really interesting rock shop. She bought a Palm Stone made of Labradorite for me. She later told me one reason she gave it to me was how it lights up with so much color when the light strikes it from certain angles. She felt that what light does to it is much like what we do for each other when we are together. The color is there inside our spirits like it is inside the stone, when we are together it makes it shine so much brighter like the way the light does to the Labradorite. She gave it to me to help express how I make her spirit glow brighter and I know she does the same to me. I took a few pictures of it and managed to get some of the fire it shows.
This is it when the angle of the light is not especially illuminating.
Here is a shot of what I think is the best side in bright light glinting at the best angle.
This is the opposite side showing it in close to its best light.
I suppose this may not impress everyone but I do love things that do come alive in the right conditions. I love rocks and beautifully grained wood. Seeing such things seems to feed a part of my soul and brings joy to life when crap is going on around me.
Here is one last picture. I took it a couple of hours after the snow started. It is still snowing and despite the ground no longer being frozen there are several inches even on the parking lot pavement. And it is to keep it up for another 24 hours at least! I think I shall be extra careful driving to PT tomorrow.
Hope any of you getting Ma N's jokey weather stay safe.
Hugs!

The snow is beautiful ... but it's April!! Mother Nature has plans for you.
Hugs!!
It is beautiful but April is a little late to be getting more than a bit of a dusting. It is 8:20 am and it is snowing some more.
Hearing that Mother Nature has plans for one is not reassuring.
Sending you big naked April hugs and caresses.
Not sure if that snow made it to MI but I'm feeling a whole lot better about last night's severe thunderstorms (poss tornado) here in MO.
Radar looks like snow hasn't made it to southern MI or over the lake yet. Is good to hear the storms and tornados missed you down in MO. Stay safe and keep having fun.
@justskin1 The storms did not miss me. They raged for hours! While I wouldn't want snow in April, at least it's quiet and lets you sleep
We’re getting thunderstorms with a potential for tornadoes 🌪️ tonight.
I think I will gladly put up with the heavy snow than trade you the possible tornados. Hope the possible doesn't switch to will and you all stay safe and damage free.
@justskin1 yall be safe too
@Bigwilly3392c Thanks
