It’s already looking established. I need to spend some time on my pond. Winter hasn’t been kind to it.
My pond was just built last July. In pond years, it's a baby
Good idea for ones mental health....ignore the fools. Do something that makes ya happy! That pond looks so inviting ~
I have one burning question! Who got to eat those surprise strawberries? I do hope you did the sensible thing and it was you. Sorry to hear you could not find the flowers you wanted locally. Did you get substitutes or will you have to make a long trip?
Sorry to hear that you are feeling whiny and depressed though sounds like with good reason. There seems to be a lot of that going around. I think it is partly the fault of the weather or just a condition of the season. I admit learning to ignore the fools is very therapeutic. I have also learned that it can be difficult to do.
Sending you big naked hugs and may your week greatly improve.
Grand Girl harvested the berries. Straight to her mouth, LOL.
I will check our local garden sources again then drive to the city. It might be early.
Some fools I can ignore. Others just drive nails into my brain.
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 I am not surprised Grand Girl got the strawberries. She certainly has learned the best harvest method. LOL
I thought it might be early too for some of your needs.
Some fools are not too hard to ignore and then there are the "In your face" fools.
Sending big consoling hugs to ease the brain abuse.
Yes.. wonderful imagination.. keeping your day perfect.. don't be depressed.. everything will be fine...to be there in this pics and imagines yes it's good
I really should buy myself a bottle or few of wine!! It's been forever since I treated myself
Thank you for the amazing idea!!!
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965
I had the kid buy me a wine cellar since I had so many bottles of wine 😂 Since it's been getting so hot, just leaving it on the shelf wasn't a good idea anymore
@JN63JPN You are so smart!! Fridge space does get filled fast.
I just found out about this stuff called mulch glue... you spray it on your mulch or pea gravel and it basically glues it together with a clear glue, you don't even notice it except the mulch/gravel doesn't move! I'm going to try it soon, wonder if it'll work around your pond?
Mulch glue?! I need to look into that!! The sloped area around the waterfall probably shouldn't be 'solid'. The lower edge though would be amazing if it was carefree.
You have such wonderful ideas! thank you!!
Hugs!!
The boulders will be a challenge
Hugs!!
Sorry hun, someone needs a spanking for not helping
May I have the spanking? It will be the start of something very fun
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 with great joy! I would love to slowly warm that ass, building in speed and intensity
I still need to do garden cleanup (clearing out the old dead plants from last year) before I can tackle weeding! 😀
I did get my hydrangeas and dogwoods cut back over the weekend...a little late for that but hopefully they'll come around by midsummer and be overgrown again by fall.
I need to cut back some bushes. Their early spring growth is way more than I expected, LOL.
Hugs!!
Another picture that would be greatly improved; if you replaced her. Maybe standing at an angle and looking away, so a breast could reflect in the water.
I like reflections
@PonyGirl1965 This would be a great project for you to plan. Maybe find a way to be topless, sitting by your pond, showing your reflection in the still water,
I thought that was you and your pond in the first picture!
Looking at the 2nd picture, I didn't realize your pond was that close to the house. Wow - beautiful.
I would have the house overhang the pond if I could. Or bring part of the pond inside. I'm a water bug thru and thru.
Hugs!!
You need a torch/flamethrower. I got one from harbor freight and it work great at turning weeds into ash. Do beware of using it near something flammable tho.
The pond looks like an inviting oasis.
Darlin ... I'm flammable.
I know this because every time I play in the burn barrels I slightly singe some body part, LOL.
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 Yes luv, you be smokin hot. Chuckle.
Dreading pruning the dead wood from my azaleas and de-leafing the stone walkway!
Can you use a leaf blower to clear the stone walkway?
I need to start pruning bushes that have already grown too much.
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 most have started to rot so I have to use a rake to loosen them up.
@Bigwilly3392c Oh hon I am so sorry. Raking is way more work than the leaf blower. It will be worth it. Hugs!!
Perfect
Busy gal as always, sounds like what you do is a labor of love. Hugs
I love pretty flowers and garden areas. I can sit and relax among the beauty. Hugs!!!
Hope things get better.
Thank you!! Tasks will eventually get done and nature will perk me up
Hugs!!
Great job looks good. Try a pump in the pond .
I have 2 pumps in the pond. One moves 3k gallons an hour. The other moves 8k gallons an hour. Both run round the clock. My water is clear unless I have been in the pond mucking around with plants
