I loved seeing the different views from so many different locations.
Hugs!!
I love watching the phases of the moon and the connection with our tides and moods.
I also am amazed that we manage to live on the earth. If the earth stopped rotating for a couple of seconds we would all die. The earth spins at over a thousand miles per hour at the equator and if it stopped it would be like a car crash. We would continue to move so fast we would just fly through the air at enormous speeds.
Itβs only gravity that keeps on the earths surface.
@hippiechick1967 @Mythosier Most people have no clue about this stuff. They might have learned it temporarily in school then promptly forgot it all. Lots of clueless adults out there
@PonyGirl1965 i find it all fascinating. The Earth is amazing and all we do is try to fuck it up.
Couldn't have said it better. Nature is amazing. Just glad man invented air conditioning for the coming hot weather. LOL
I am VERY thankful for houses, electricity, running water and air conditioning. They keep me alive. Though if we didn't have AC I assume my ancestors would have never left the cooler environment where we originated.
Nice shot. The power of Mother Nature never ceases to amaze.
I get lucky every once in a while on my cheap phone
Hugs!!
Your winged friend reminds me that it's time to hang my hummingbird feeder
I already have a few hummers fighting fiercely over territory. I hung out 2 extra feeders to try to convey there is enough for everyone, LOL.

Most of todayβs generation grew up with their eyes glued to video games, never really looking at anything outside!
I do think you nailed it. I felt they had spent their entire lives IN the house. It seems so boring.
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 true and sad
How beautiful....the winged friend AND the lilacs. Those and jonquils are my faves. Yes...nature is always amazingly beautiful ~
Nice picture
Nature is awesome
Actually it's wonderful to see the eclipse and enjoying outside the nature with the kids.. but I'm little surprised about those reporters.. lol π€£ what those?...yes the people is different always in eclipse some enjoying other not
I am happy that you got to see the eclipse. I too am sad that so many people seem to go through life clueless and indifferent or unaware of the wonders it provides for them to experience. I also wonder how many of the unaware people are so because they never learned to enjoy reading.
Sending you big naked hugs.
PS I posted my HNW so it will show up about midnight. I hope I did the delay right and it works correctly too.
I have tried to schedule blog posts and they still all show up at once.
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 I was a bit surprised that it worked for me.
Hugs!
Yes, it seems people are not as educated as they once were. It is scary. π
America is definitely sliding on education. There is a movie, Idiocracy, that I do not want to be true.
@PonyGirl1965 unfortunately, it seems to be going that way though.
Lucky you. We didn't see the eclipse in cloudy England.
I'm sorry you missed it. Though the tv coverage was more detailed than what my eyes could see.
At first, I didn't care very much, but my director and I went outside around 12:45, seeing just a small chunk of the sun covered. An hour later, the whole thing was covered! 95% totality here. It got dreary outside and chilly, and then I was glad I watched it! I've always been impressed with flowers and birds, sunrises and sunsets, not eclipse stuff.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I love full moons so the eclipse was a continuation for me in a weird way, LOL.
Hugs!!
I agree with you in aspects of nature. It is amazing and such beauty. Hugs
God knew we would need beauty all around us.
Hugs!!
