But foliage was so beautiful it was hard to ignore. And for such big phallus a bit of foliage just enhances whole experience
The blossoms are stunning!
Great pictures. Use to live in metro DC and cherry blossom time was quiet magical around the tidal basin
@JN63JPN
Truly magnificent
@JN63JPN, @bignicktx
I visited DC 5-6 times, although this was the first time with cherries in full bloom. It really was worth of trip even though it was a bit windy and cold.
It was also great that we could skip museums and monuments and fully enjoy cherries. And some really good food.
@EnyojLife
Seeing cherry blossoms in full bloom is always a treat to see
@bignicktx
I want to go visit cherry blossoms in other regions in Japan next year
@JN63JPN such a treat ☺
@JN63JPN
That’s true but tidal basin is really magnificent
Here we have some crab apples and ornamental trees that are also great but not not so concentrated
In my neighborhood May 18 last year
@bignicktx
Thanks
@EnyojLife also nice

Lovely images. Love the zcherry blossoms. End of Spring basically when stops raining and turns unbearable hot.
We have a rainy season in the beginning of summer. Sometimes it's cool during the rainy season, sometimes it's really muggy. The weather this year has been weird. Warmer in February than in March.
End of spring - when it hits 90o? LOL
We probably won't see 90 degree weather until after the rainy season
Lovely photos as always! Like BJ, seasons are variable where I live. Spring is beginning - trees and shrubs are starting to get leaves, daffodils are up and blooming, my rhododendron bush bloomed this week. Even so, yesterday it was in the 30's with a cold wind and a few sprinkles of snow.
End of spring...maybe when lakes are warm enough to swim in?
I hope it gets hot enough to go snorkeling soon 😁
Michigan ... you never really know what season the day will bring.
It's a standing joke that you can experience all 4 seasons in one day in the Midwest 😂
One never knows if it has ended here. The weather changes constantly. School (university) being out is how I gage it.
Azaleas used to indicate that the school year is ending, but these days, they bloom in April.
@JN63JPN trilliums bloom early, they are still blooming. cold set back today. spring is not over.
Blackberries blooming marks the end of the frost season, which are in full bloom now. Usually when all the trees are fully leafed out is when spring ends here.
The trees with new leaves are looking really lovely nowadays
Good
Glad you like
