Three sounds about right, for those in a rush. 👍😲
It's a pretty good deal for the ones giving the gift
When I read about the Touch of Gold Program from the site, this was included:
Who qualifies for a Touch of Gold?
To send a Touch of Gold, the sender must be an active Gold member registered on the site for at least 6 months, with at least one purchase using an unexpired credit card on file.
What do you think of that stipulation?
I'm not happy with that stipulation, but it's always possible that the requirement was put in place to deter abuse.
I sent in my 2 cents and suggestion.
@JN63JPN I would truly like to know what abuse you are thinking of that would lead to this stipulation...not being critical or sarcastic..sometimes my brain really is blank on such things. lol
@AmyGood4Mea
I'm just throwing out guesses here, but from a business standpoint, the Touch of Gold could be thought of as an alternative to Standard Contacts, but not all Golds have enough points to take advantage, so maybe this will encourage them to buy more points.
Perfect
Yup
I turned off emails from the site so I wasn't aware of this. Interesting option.
Not that there's many people on the site I'd want to give the privilege of contacting me, even for three days haha! But I could see it being handy if, for example a blogger friend was going to be visiting in my area, to be able to exchange details on how to talk to each other off-site. Now that the private message boxes have been closed off to standards.
I wouldn't be interested in contacting anybody local, but it would be a handy program if I needed to get in contact with a blogger buddy.
Well...you already can gift Gold using points. You can also use points to get Standards May Contact. Go to the dating side , open your account tab and find the Upgrade Account section. That's where you can redeem your points. I don't know if the Standard Contact works on the blogs.
I knew that Gold membership can be redeemed using points, but Confirmed ID was needed (since I have zero trust in this site so it's not something I'd do) but I never knew I could gift Gold with points. Was that option always there and I missed it?
@JN63JPN Sorry, I miswrote. The Gold points are for self only ... and with confirmed ID (which I don't trust either)
I could not find any box for Touch of Gold. Perhaps that only works on a sister site and not A.ff
@sexyldy1000
It does, but you need Confirmed ID to redeem it. No thanks.
@superbjversion2
But it was AFF that sent the email notifying me of the new program 🤔
@sexyldy1000
You need Confirmed ID to redeem Gold membership with your points, but not to redeem Gold memberships gifted by others.
I would love this, if someone choose me.
If anybody can figure out how to give this gift, it would be a nice gesture.
@spunkycumfun
I posted a guide on tipping points to others in Live From AFF -- Gifting points
@spunkycumfun Sure would , thank you.
