I’ve got to admit that if it were a choice of the Super Bowl, or midget wrestling, I’d be laughing my ass off, watching those little fuckers running around the ring!
In the six weeks since the Superbowl I've made a point of asking just about everyone I know & meet (Australians)... if they watched the game & what they thought. To my surprise, a lot of people watched the game. It (the game) got a pretty good build up here because of the Taylor Swift connection & she was performing here soon after.
The wash up was... too long, too boring too many breaks in play, nothing much happens.
Over my lifetime I've not seen a lot of American Football, lots of highlights but only about 15 - 20 entire games. I've really wanted to like the game as I really love sport in general & I'm always open to watching something skillful.
I'd rather watch Chess
Great interview...with Mason Cox.
You should have a look at Hurling, its the fast field sport. You have a few Irish lads playing in the AFL too.
I have seen it a few times... I agree it is very fast paced & exciting.
We have many Irish gaelic football players here playing AFL The skill set is very similar but the money for AFL is far superior than what they get in Ireland. We have Irish women here playing too in our Female competition. A good AFL player with get a million per year.
@FionaRing Well that's the point GAA players don't get paid, its seen as an amateur sports. You've got Callum Brown playing for GWS Giants who is a former Derry GAA player. I think he scored 5 the other night as well
@TazzMan858 ...Callum Brown is brilliant. I really rate him highly & he was very good in his last game against Collingwood.
