Turkey Season At WallyWorld

It's been quite an adventure at WallyWorld for the past week or so. I have been slinging forty pound boxes of Turkeys and Hams. It's like going to the gym and getting paid for it.
The Questions Customers ask can also be interesting. Can a Honey Ham be Smoked? Upon reading the label. Yep! It appears that all hams are smoked.
The Lady wants a 17 Pound Butterball Turkey. I find an 18 pound Butterball Turkey and a 19 Pound Butterball Turkey but she WANTS a 17 Pound Turkey.
I finally found a 17 pound Riverside Turkey. "What's the difference between a Butterball Turkey and a Riverside Turkey," the lady asks. "PRICE!!!!" I tell her. A Happy Customer leaves with a 17 pound Riverside Turkey.
A young man asks me how to cook a Turkey. The last time I cooked a Turkey was Spring of 1987. I suggested that he find a recipe on the internet.  That is what I would do if I were inclined to cook another Turkey.
A Older Gentleman asked, "What is the best Ham in the Store.  Since we are in the Commonwealth of Virginia - perhaps the Virginia Ham or a Sam's Choice Brown Sugar Spiral Ham which is a real bargain. The lady with him asked, "Which Ham do personally like best?"
Actually................ I don't really like ham. ;?
The man left the store with a Virginia AND Sam's Choice Brown Sugar Spiral Ham. He also bought a Honeydale Turkey Breast.
On the Eve of Thanksgiving, some folks were asking, "How long does it take for a Turkey to thaw?" Dang, I am no Domestic Goddess, but I think the window of time has run out unless they cook it AFTER Thanksgiving.

Why does my Higher Power do this to me. He has such a wicked sense of humor He hooks me up with a Conservative Scorpio Man with Black and White One Way or the Highway Type Spirituality.
The Bible is absolutely literally the truth and anyone who see that truth differently is destined for Hades. I have a very different view of the Higher Power. I call him Grandfather Creator and sometimes Mother Ga ia if I am ticked off at the male gender. If I am really confused I make God a Drag Queen.
Sometimes I don't feel like even talking to God when he's not doing it my way. God knows I eventually get over it and talk to him anyway. He is God not Santa Claus. He never promised that love or riches would come into my life. He only gives me the strength to go through life on life's terms - sometimes good and sometimes bad.
My Scorpio Friend believes that everything in the Bible happened literally as it is written. I question the possibility of talking snakes, talking donkeys, voices coming out of burning bushes, the sea parting to let the good guys through and closing in on the bad guys. The River turns into blood. A stick turns into a snake and eats other snakes that used to be sticks. Can a man really blast down a wall simply by blowing a horn.
Is there really a ship big enough to carry two of every kind of animal in the world? Virgin births! Yeah Sure! I was told that these things happened in ancient times but not modern times. Why Not? Does this mean the magical tales of Camelot and King Author are true. Perhaps Apollo and Zeus really did get all those maidens pregnant.
Perhaps in other dimensions there are fairies,dragons and angels. Jonah lived in the Belly of a Whale for three days. Personally I don't think it matter if Christ was miraculous conceived from a Virgin, by Artificial insemination or with the assistant of a Roman Soldier. The Truths that he taught validate the message that he carried.
The Story of Jonah and the Whale has a message that can be pertain ant of modern times regardless of rather it happened or not. God sent Jonah on a mission with a specific destination. Jonah decided to run his own program and went another direction. The Storm arrived and the sailors tossed some of the cargo including Jonah into the Ocean. A Whale swallowed him and spit him out where he was suppose to be. Jonah completed his mission and lives were saved.
How often in my own life have I been tossed into dangerous waters by unscrupulous employers, lovers, family members, and husbands. I had to swim in another direction. I am not sure if I am going in the right direction. I am looking for that Whale to tell me where to go but I live closer to a river than I do an ocean.

My is Going Into Rehab - Prayer Being Answered

Nobody chooses to be an Alcoholic but we can choose to take responsibility for it. It was very obvious in my teenage years that I had some serious issues with Alcohol. I went into a 12 Step Program when I was 21 and finally at the age of 24 I became a permanant teetotaller. Alkies are like pickles that can never change back into a cucumber.
It was never my plan for my younger to inherit my hearing disability and my alcoholism but alas, Life on Life's terms. When he was a , I observed that he was not talking at the same age my younger did. I arranged to have his hearing tested and he was fitted with hearing aids. He was also enrolled in the Infant's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. One of the first one's in the country. He was eventually mainstreamed into regular school.
Sometimes, he would cry and saying he didn't want to be hearing impaired. Later on, he concluded that there are worse things that can happen.
The hearing disability was easy to deal with. I was at a loss with what to do about his drug addiction. He was expelled from Jr. High for drug use. I did all the right things to try to help him but I was competing with peer pressure. I finally started going to Nar-Anon and learned to detach.
Earlier this week, he decided to go on a toot and almost lost his job. He went to his employer about his problem. The employer agreed to give him a leave of absence while he goes into rehab. This is the decision that my made because the consequences kicked his butt.
Alcoholism can be compared to having a hearing disability. There are worse things that can happen. My has been going to meetings since he was 15 and he'll be 22 in a few weeks. I started going to meetings at 21 and quit for good at 24 so he is actually ahead of me.
It's been backed up by prayer.

Friday Night - The New Moon will be in Scorpio. During a New Moon - the Moon Always Conjuncts with the Sun which mean Double Scorpio Energy. During this time, Mercury will be in fair minded objective Libra while Venus Keeps Company with Saturn in Sensible Virgo. Mars will be in Sensual Cancer.
Scorpio is intense desire. It is alway a good time to get in touch with the Shadow Self, embrace it and release it for transformation.
The Energy of Libra and Virgo will enable the ability to look at the shadow self in a non-judgement way and troubleshoot what needs to be transformed[/COLORand focus on intense desires and using that energy to push them into reality.

All this Scorpio Energy and the Full Moon brings thoughts of mind bOOgling whOOpee but no way to bring thoughts into action.
The guys on the SFF Profiles that would inspire such actions are hundreds of miles away.
The Local Guys have a tendency to tell the women to get naked and assume the position. This leads to an experience that is not entirely satisfactory and not worth the effort.
It must be Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio's Fault. Is anyone getting lucky for the Full Moon?
