I asked what you would do if you saw that your friend was being cheated on. I wanted to know if you would tell them and some would and some wouldn't. Now I am going the other route. You found out you were cheated on and then discovered your friend knew all along. How would you feel about this friend who knew and didn't tell you? I am especially curious to see how those who said to mind one's own business will answer this. Of course, I want to hear opinions from everyone. I for one, would never trust that friend again and would feel betrayed.

GALINAEXPERT IS NOW ADVERTISING ON THE POLLS

I am offended that Galinaexpert is going around advertising her book and yet MrsJoe was permanently banned for giving out info that advertises. When I first started blogging, I put up one of my erotica stories and it was banned. Why is Galinaexpert able to advertise and SFF is fine with it?

I tried clicking on her blog and saw no posts. Can others see it or is it just me? Does it mean SFF banned her from blog posts but not putting up polls? In her poll she literally gives out the name of her book. I don't understand why SFF is letting her get away with it.

There is another Galina who recently joined. Both are from the same part of the world. The latter is too young to be on SFF IMO and I suspect they are one and the same. I may be wrong and if so, I apologize to the new one.

It seems that we are not all equal on SFF. Some can advertise and others get banned for the same actions.

I was curious if you get up in the morning, have your coffee/tea and check out the blogs or if you get your fix at night before bed. I usually check it out during the day, after checking out e-mails and dealing with urgent matters if there are any. What about you?

Sorry I haven't been around much the past few days. I was feeling ill. I have no idea why but today I feel better. Anyhow something came up recently that got me thinking about whether it is good to tell others what we know. The best example is if you have a girl friend/boy friend and you catch them being cheated on by their significant other. Would you stay quiet or tell your friend? Would you want to know the truth or prefer not knowing if it happened to you? I personally would want to know.

The odd person brought up some desserts in my post about their favorite ethnic food. I think that topic deserves a post of its own. I for one love cheesecake. I never knew that creme brulee was good until I tried it at one Toronto restaurant. It is sweet and after a heavy meal, it is nice and light and tasty. Tell us your favorite dessert and if you have a recipe to go with any, please share it. i wish I had one to share but I haven't made any cheesecake in a long time. I wouldn't know where the recipe is. I found a place where I buy them for special occasions.

In case they need identifying, the pics are: cheesecake, creme brulee, chocolate eclair, chocolate cake, ice cream, strawberry shortcake.

QUEEN ELIZABETH TURNS 90 TODAY

Depending on your time zone, Queen Elizabeth is or will shortly be 90 years young. She turned 90 April 21. Three new pictures were taken of her and her family by photographer Annie Leibovitz. For Shartaun03 and others like her (including myself) who enjoy seeing pics of the Royal Family, here they are:

Pic 1 and 2: #1: "1. James, Viscount Severn, the eight-year-old second of the Earl and Countess of Wessex. Born at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, he is currently tenth in line to the throne.
#2: Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary Mountbatten-Windsor, James’s protective elder sister who, despite a traumatic premature birth, is maturing into a confident and pretty young girl.
Louise, 12, who is 11th in line to the throne, was a much longed-for for Edward and Sophie.
#3:Mia Tindall, the chubby-cheeked proudly holding up her ‘Gan-Gan’s’ handbag, is the of former royal rebel Zara Phillips and her England rugby player husband Mike Tindall.
#4:Princess Charlotte, sitting on the Queen’s lap, is the newest addition to the Royal Family and fourth in line to the throne.
#5:Savannah Phillips, elder of Peter Phillips and his Canadian wife Autumn, is the eldest of the Queen’s great-grandchildren and 14th in line to the throne.
#6:Prince George hides a delightfully mischievous nature. Indeed, on their recent tour to India, his parents apologised for not bringing him but said they couldn’t have risked his running around, while his father frequently describes him as a ‘cheeky little monkey’.
#7:Isla Phillips, standing to her cousin George’s left, is Savannah’s three-year-old sister.

Pic 3:
The second portrait is a rare and surprisingly warm shot of the Queen with her Princess Anne in the Palace's White Drawing Room

Pic 4: Photographer Annie Leibovitz captured this touching vignette of Her Majesty with her two corgis, Willow and Holly, and two dorgis – corgi-dachshund crosses – Candy and Vulcan.

The 5th pic is the newly released stamp of the royal family:

Pic 5: Perched proudly on a pile of foam blocks, but holding daddy's hand just in case, Prince George poses for his very first postage stamp alongside his father, his grandfather – and the great-grandmother in this picture which was released by the Royal Mail yesterday"

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF FOOD?

I am eating Japanese food for dinner. I love Japanese, Chinese and many other types of ethnic foods. After I went to Barcelona in 2014, I had tapas and paella in Toronto. Italian is great too. It all depends on what I am in the mood of eating. The only food I really don't like is Indian food. The naan bread is good but after trying several Indian restaurants, I find it's just not to my liking.

My favorite meal would be having a Greek/Caear salad, a steak and lobster. I'd want delicious warm bread with mushrooms and potatoes to eat with the surf and turf. Cheesecake for dessert would be a bonus. For ethnic food, I would pick Chinese food as my favorite. What about you?

This post has made me hungry.

Pat has been banned from SFF. That has got to be the craziest thing I have heard since I started blogging. I will be writing SFF about that but there is power in numbers. Please write SFF to help get her back on, without the hassle of having her need to change her handle and lose her stats. If Pat can be banned, remember what chance does any of us have?

IF THERE WAS TIME TRAVEL, WHAT YEAR WOULD YOU GO TO AND WHY?

According to Wikipedia:

"Time travel is the concept of movement (such as by a human) between certain points in time, analogous to movement between different points in space, typically using a hypothetical device known as a time machine, in the form of a vehicle or of a portal connecting distant points in time. Time travel is a recognized concept in philosophy and fiction, but traveling to an arbitrary point in time has a very limited support in theoretical physics, and usually only in conjunction with quantum mechanics or Einstein–Rosen bridges. In a more narrow sense, one-way time travel into the future via time dilation is a proven phenomenon in relativistic physics, but traveling any significant "distance" requires motion at speeds close to the speed of light, which is not feasible for human travel with current technology."

In the future, who knows, time travel might actually be possible. If it was reality now, when would you go back to or ahead to? I would go ahead to 2516, 500 years ahead. I have always been into gadgets and new technology. When I was younger, my sister and mom and dad and I went shopping. My sister and mom shopped for clothes and I was at the electronic stores. My dad would join me or walk around or sit. The inventions in a 500 year period would be immense, unless by then everything gets wiped out due to what's happening to the environment. I hope that isn't the case.

I would be fascinated by all the changes. Would cars be travelling like in the show The Jetsons? What would TV be like? My guess is more like a movie screen at home as standard. Actually probably no screen would be needed since the images would probably be on the walls. Anyhow, I wish I could see all the advances in science and health. Altering one's genetic makeup to prevent diseases would be fantastic. Who knows what will happen.

CHECK TO SEE IF YOU WERE TALKED ABOUT

Someone sent me something that was very sweet. Sorry Maisie, I know you dislike inspirational messages. Sorry to those that dislike copying and pasting. Read past the copied and pasted article. Here it is:

"Too Busy for a Friend.....

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.

No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in
Vietnam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.

The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'
After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.'
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'

All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'

Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.'

'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.

The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

This made me cry. It also makes one realize how important it is to tell those close to us how we feel. It seems there is Close Friend Day on June 8. I must admit that I never heard of that. I think one doesn't have to wait for a special occasion to tell those we hold most dear, how much they mean to us.

Those who wish to do so here, can also say something nice about others here . I wish that those that don't get along can say something nice about the other. Is that possible? Nothing negative will be tolerated.

I will start by saying about some of my friends on here. Limit yourself to 5 people. I have more than 5 friends here so if you aren't listed, it is only because I think the list would be way too long.

1. Pat is someone I respect immensely. She has wisdom and compassion.

2. Dan, for caring enough for others to bring a smile to everyone's face with his humour.

3. Lucy, for always seeing the bright side of things. I was just picturing her lying down on her new comfortable chair with a wide smile.

4. Alfie and Ann, ok they are 2 but you can't have one without the other. I love that they met here and it's always great to hear them share their lives with us.

5. RosesLady, her love of pets and her warm heart, always makes me feel good.

Wow limiting to 5 is hard. I can cheat a bit since it's my post. Maisie I respect for always trying to get people to think. We might not always agree but I respect her right to have an opinion and for the passion she has for what she believes in.

MrsFrancis is a great person who always looks at things in a positive light. ET, I do feel you have mellowed. I have enjoyed your comments and have become quite fond of you. Spirit, who has a true spirit for living and overcoming all obstacles. I admire you greatly. MySeek always gives terrific responses and is an open and warm person. Niles, when she is here, is a wonderful woman that I wish would show up once in awhile. Betty and her great pics and sharing her and extended family with us. Diane and Puzzles and all of you that have strong convictions, as you should. I could go on and on.

Your turn...
