THERE ARE "RULES" THAT WERE KEPT FROM ME - SO I WILL NO LONGER PRE-SCREEN COMMENTS

I have done everything I could to avoid upsetting any members. I wrote a post about blog etiquette, asking about the "rules'. Pretty much everyone said there are no rules. It seems members haven't been entirely upfront with me.

On my post about the new SFF glitch I've been having, members wrote that they don't screen messages, one was highly suspicious of those that do, and one refuses to make further comments because of my screening. My question is WHY didn't anyone tell me it bothers them, when I asked about the "rules' here? I know I have the right to do it but if it upsets people, I would have taken that into consideration. Anyhow I won't be pre-screening comments anymore, unless something weird happens. That will apply to my new posts as I'm not going back to change the options on my old ones.

Incidentally, I don't get how I'll know which comments need replying to. I can look back but it can get confusing. That explains why some of my comments were never replied to.

So tell me, is there anything else I need to know so I am not accidentally offending anyone? PLEASE tell me as I don't read minds. Thank you.

NEW SFF PROBLEM - DO YOU HAVE IT TOO?

Lately I've had a problem with some of my posts showing comments pending, when in fact, there are no pending comments. I wrote SFF and as with most issues, they never responded to it and never fixed it. Do you have that issue on any of your posts? Any tricks to solve it?

I DON'T WANT TO TAKE SIDES

It's getting confusing remembering all the opposing sides in these feuds. I wasn't aware that Diane and Dan have an issue, until the blog I missed earlier in the week. I was told about it and it sounds like it was big. Honestly, I don't really care what the issue is about. I like Diane and I like Dan. For that matter, I have no issues with Leaf or those who oppose him. I welcome him back.

I always worry, will he/she be angry when I respond to their "enemy's" post? I certainly hope not. I don't want to take sides. I will continue as I have, commenting on posts that interest me, regardless of who wrote them. Hopefully, it won't come back to bite me.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY?

OK, suppose you just found out you won the lottery. It's really large, like $10 million. If you live in the USA, it's probably $400 million. How would you spend it?

I would make sure those I love are set for life. Secondly, I would love to set up a charity in my dad's name. What would you do with your winnings?

IF YOU FOUND A LOT OF MONEY, WOULD YOU RETURN IT?

Legalities aside, if you found a ton of money, would you turn it over to the police (or wherever you were) or keep it? What if you saw the person drop it?

I know if I saw the person drop it, I would tell them. If I found it at a store, I'd be afraid their Lost & Found would keep the money.

As I'm sure most of you already know, I had my dream trip in May 2014. We went to Paris, Barcelona, a Mediterranean cruise and London. We were away for 25 days and had a great time. I went with my sister and that made it all the more special.

Where would you go for your trip-of-a-lifetime?

COMPUTERS SUCK

I spent all day on my computer yesterday, trying to stop it from going on an automatic repair loop. I gave up at about 4am, exhausted. Today I called tech support (last resort since they usually make things worse) and I found out my hard drive is broken. My computer isn't even 2 years old. Luckily I bought an extended warranty. I have to wait until the repair depot gets the part and makes a service call. Until then, I am using my laptop and frankly, I'm not fond of laptops.

To make matters worse, I record shows using an external TV Tuner. Based on location, I had to now set it to work with my laptop and have to type leaning toward the laptop. Needless to say, I won't be on the computer as much for the next couple of days.

Do you get many computer issues?

WHAT ARE YOUR FONDEST CHILDHOOD MEMORIES?

When I think back to my childhood, my favorite times were when my parents and sister and I went on our summer vacations. My first one I was around 12 years old (+ or - 1 year). I still remember being outside and finding out I was going to be going on my first trip. I was so excited. We packed up the trunk shortly thereafter and off we went around 4am.

We always left early since there was no air conditioning in cars at that time. We had a 10 hour drive to Atlantic City, New Jersey. We were living in Montreal, Quebec. In later trips there, we stopped either on the way there or back, in Lake George, NY and NYC to see a Broadway play. I love the theatre.

On our first years to Atlantic City, there weren't any casinos. There was no glitz and glamour but it was better then. There was the Steel Pier, where we saw Davy Jones and others perform. We rode bikes along the boardwalk. We shopped and we went in the Atlantic Ocean. I can't say swam since I can't swim. That first year, my uncle went with us, and held me up when there was a big wave. We went to the drive-in movie. We ate KFC (it was great then) and salt water taffy. My mom was totally different on our vacations. She didn't have to worry about tenants or cleaning the house. She was so relaxed and happy. My dad loved going there. His smile lit up the room and he never smiled more than when he was going to Atlantic City.

I miss those times and when I think about being there, I think of my dad who passed away in 1999. I haven't been back there since he died. I don't think I could bear it and it wouldn't be the same.

What are your fondest childhood memories?
