Niles asked me to say hello to everyone here. They removed the tumor and she is tired and recuperating. She doesn't have any results yet. She has been surrounded by those who love her and her spirits are good.

HOW MANY OF YOU WILL ADMIT TO HAVING OCD?

For those that don't know it, OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder. There are many degrees to it, some minor nuisances and others life altering. I have to admit that I have OCD but I'm in the former category. I went to a class to try to change it but found out that millions of people have OCD but don't know it. Further, if it doesn't affect your day-to-day life significantly enough, it's not actually considered having a disorder. So, technically I don't have OCD.

When I first joined this site and said I'm addicted to it, I wasn't being funny. I was spending so much time here that it really was too much. It's ok to come to a site you like from time-to-time but I was here too much. You really CAN get too much of a good thing. I recently discovered a game called Words With Friends and now I'm addicted to that. That's helped me not spend my life on this site and at least it's a brain game. I have always enjoyed learning. So I've traded one addiction for another.

Anyhow there are cases of OCD that are really extreme and life altering. When I took that class they gave us a questionnaire to determine how severe a case we have. I had the least amount of OCD in my class and most of them were taking pills for it. I don't take a thing for it. I do find that stress makes it worse. it often runs in families. Many don't realize they have it. They clean the house too much for they work too much (yes being a workaholic CAN be OCD, I found out). Basically it means you feel the need to do something that you don't particularly enjoy doing but if you don't do it, you get anxiety. I don't think playing Words With Friends is part of that since I do enjoy it. That is an addiction not an obsession.

Anyhow, do you have OCD? Do you feel the need to recheck things and have any rituals that if you don't do them, you would feel stress?

I HAVE A CONFESSION

I really like the people here and I enjoy putting up interesting blogs. At times though, it started feeling like homework. When I first started blogging, I got an idea and posted it and it was fun to see the reaction. Recently it's felt a bit like a chore. It isn't a reflection of any of the members here. It's me. I have been spending more time on my books and other interests so less posts. In some ways it's a good thing. Some people said I was the #1 blogger (their words) and with that came pressure. I had to keep posting. I don't want to feel like I have to. I want to post for enjoyment, like I did before. So if you've noticed, I have cut down on my posts in the last month or so. I post what interests me and what I'd like to share. If there are 3 things that I do want to share in a day, that's fine. However if there isn't for weeks, that's fine too.

Secondly, do you ever come on here after being away a touch and then feel like you have to look at ALL the posts that you've missed? I know I have and again, it feels like work. So my new approach is that when I come here I look at the recent titles that sound interesting to me and read them and comment if I want to. I read them because I want to not because I have to. There is some really great posts and I still care for all of you. I just don't want it to feel like work. I am juggling too many things and I was spending way too much time here that I can't afford. Again, I really do like the people here so it's nothing to do with any of you. This is not one of those, I am leaving posts. I am not leaving. I would miss you all too much.

AM I A SENIOR?

I put up a post about 3 sisters in their 90s and someone implied that I'm not a senior. Does that mean I should leave and come back in 3 years (I'm turning 57 in Sept)? 8 years? What age is considered a senior to you?

It used to be easy to know what age a senior is. It was legally 65. Now it varies depending on the organization. At some places it's 50 and other places 55, 60 or 65 the senior discount is offered.

Three sisters age 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together.
One night the 96 year old draws a bath, puts her foot in and pauses.
She yells down the stairs, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?"
The 94 year old yells back, "I don't know, I'll come up and see."
She starts up the stairs and pauses, then she yells,
"Was I going up the stairs or coming down?"
The 92 year old was sitting at the kitchen table having tea
listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says,
"I sure hope I never get that forgetful." She knocks
on wood for good measure. She then yells,
"I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see
who's at the door."

A GIRL'S GOTTA DO WHAT A GIRL'S GOTTA DO!

Copied and pasted from an article I read:

"A driver has been left red-faced after she crashed her Mini into the back of a van - while pleasuring herself.

The anonymous woman, who was stuck in traffic at the time, got a jolt from the blue when her car suddenly lurched forwards and hit the M&J Seafood van in front of her.

Described as “fit” and in her 30s, the woman swapped details after the accident - but it wasn’t until van bosses checked the footage from the camera at the back of the vehicle that they noticed what caused the crash.

The woman had been using a sex toy on herself, possibly to alleviate the boredom of traffic."

Women have been known to put on makeup, text but this is one I hadn't heard before.
