When I came on this site today, I thought I had pushed the wrong button. I left and did some routine work in the house, talked on the phone with my and friends overseas..... The weather could not decide between rain and sunshine, it was all mixed. And I felt I should go out and give myself a treat of some kind, went to our Indian restaurant that had opened a few weeks ago and ordered a meal to take home. I had tried their food once before, doordash delivery. And it was delicious.

Here I am sitting at the kitchen table having dinner....... spinach with lamb, basmati rice and yogurt! And when I look out from here, I see the various shades of green of the tall trees and bushes and the flowers on the deck.

Thinking of letter L, Love, Life and Light come my mind.

Picture one shows a sculpture on the driveway opposite the entrance my home.
Two Lovers hugging and kissing. The past months changed peoples attitude, they were successfully told to keep distance because.........

The second picture was taken shortly after my granddaughter was born, June 1992.
New Life. At the request of my and -in-law I was present that day afternoon till past midnight. Lina entered the world little before midnight, and after
the necessary work was done, Mary, the midwife, put this "package" in my arms.
I was relieved and dead tired.

These two photos were taken in 1974. At that time we were part of a social project in Iran. Exploring the environment, we found a young bird sitting on the ground that seemed to be lost. We could not figure out what was wrong with it, and it did not try to escape when my picked it up carefully. After a while we let it down on the ground again hoping that the bird parents would get it.

The second picture was taken in the same area at a very small creek - my and me.

A week ago I discovered this flower growing on my driveway. Since, I look after that beauty every day, water it twice a day and carefully back out of the garage to keep distance that the wheels of the car don't "hurt" my flower!
I don't allow any weed killers on my property....... When the flowers start withering, I'll put the plant in good soil in a pot and wait and see what happens.......

Looking for a birthday present for my granddaughter online, I came across a site with all kinds of funny gift ideas. One of those ideas is called "Replacement Friend".......
Before debating, whether men are needed, and if so, what for...... they are great to cuddle up together! Now one can have the strong shoulder to lean on and cuddly moments without all the rest. LOL And sweet dreams are promised!
In the arm of this very peaceful friend one will feel comfortable and safe....... And, in case he is not needed, he can easily be stowed away in the closet.

In Nara, a city in Japan, it is not unusual to see groups of deer roaming around all year. They even seem to have learned traffic rules. If you visit Nara during summer, you will observe a mysterious phenomenon in the evenings. It is called "Shikadamari".

At sunset, around 6:30, large numbers of deer gather and rest at a certain spot in Nara Park, opposite the National Museum. More than 600 heads have been counted lately. After an hour, at 7:30 the animals get on their feet and leave, spreading in small groups in all directions of the area. This behavioural pattern occurs day after day in summer.

This photo was taken Oct. 2000 at the festive reception by the Air Force at Andrews Air Base in Virginia, honoring the artists who had contributed paintings to the AF Art Collection.
Unfortunately, this photo is standing in the back of my desk in Germany. I zoomed it to enlarge it, but can't get it any clearer.
It was the last time we participated as Parkinson slowly took over and made it impossible for Joe to draw and paint with a steady hand. His last try on a partly covered canvas I keep stored away.

Sakia Monastry, Tibet. This library, found behind a huge wall, holds 84.000 secret books that cover over 10.000 years of human history.
The wall is 60 meters long and 10 meters high. What kind of secret scripts are they, what is still hidden from us?
