On Tuesday this week the rare event occurred of a lunar eclipse/Blood Moon. Since ancient times people have ascribed mystical powers to the lunar eclipse. The Blood Moon was not visible everywhere on this planet. The people in America, Australia and Asia had the best chances to watch this event.
A friend sent me some interesting pictures of the Blood Moon. One was taken in Greece when the red moon appeared above the Acropolis in Athens (Greece) and another one of the lunar eclipse blood moon set behind the US Capitol Dome in Washington D.C.
The other pictures I cannot attribute to any location, but they are just beautiful, I think.

Some years ago I participated in a survey and after that I received a thank-you letter with a 2 Dollar Note. My question is, is it "play money" or has it once been a legal paper note? It has a marking "Series 2013". I won't spend it. LOL Just curious.

Beginning of October is harvest time, and out in the countryside people welcome visitors at the entrance of a village or in their market place with figures made of straw bales. They are supposed to be symbols of a farmer and his wife. This photo was taken when I was last in the rolling hills where my home is in Germany, 2019.
