QUALITY OF LIFE
Life measured by one's wealth when money rules quality Unhealthy only dominates health when it happens unhealthy be
Or measured by one's love the number of one's friends Or gifts from the God above the gift that never ends
Just a better or worse perception When all life is treasurable Just life's great deception When life's quality is unmeasurable

Top Ten.....Things I've learned by getting old
1. If I knew I was going live this long, I would have taken better care of myself 2. You can't build a monument unless you have the right equipment 3. Love is ironic, it says more about your need than someone elses, yet it's far more about your giving than your getting. 4. To have a friend you got to be a friend. 5. Success can only be gained through your own mind never through someone elses. 6. Money gives you the power to do, but never gives you the power to be somebody. 7. Anger comes from self-hatred 8. You can't be hurt by an untruth 9. The biggest communication mistake is believing others think the same way we do. 10. No matter the circumstance, happiness is your own responsibility.

Lunar Love

She thought I hung the moon and all Her eyes... told me so It made me feel ten feet tall That's all love needs to know
The other stuff was but love's prize frosting that makes the cake stellar Yet, incomparable to moon in her eyes Of being seen, better than you are
Then expectations paid the devil's due when what was paid, was not enough The toll on love became the revenue that counted the unimportant stuff
The moon shined over this sleeping mountain Until changing eyes said more than lips And expectations she began to count on Created a lunar eclipse
Some time ago I wrote this, thought it was due for a re-write.

Sides of the Fence

I wrote a blog response story, and thought I'd like to keep it on my own blog. (I wish I knew where I get this shit from!)
There are four not so wise men. Two men standing on each side of a fence having a political agrument and two men listening to the argument are sitting on the fence at each end. After the heated argument, the two men standing ask the two men straddling the fence who's right and who's wrong. Being men of God and not quite understanding all the agrument, the two men, staddling the fence, decide to ask God who's right and who's wrong God comes to each man and tells him....."The man on your right is right and the man on your left is wrong".
Moral of the story...It doesn't matter which side of the fence your on. It only matters if your perspective is right or left.

I wonder what keeps me coming back to places I have been before A people's lost and found in fact and open window, and a closed door
To hear a Robyn sing or see a friendly face Just a little remembering In an evolving old place
I look for Stillwater that runs deep Keeps me coming back To a place I want to keep
Trivia as a daily event that AneMac brings to us Different ways life was meant without the hassle and the fuss
Photo friday What karenpita may say Political narrow minds My way or the highway
The Canadians and Aussies down under or on top Like rentier and Jano That borders can not stop
And through it all Those that have gone Tears and joy to recall Not a place, but a home

LOVE THIEF

He robbed her of her undying love And never thought to give it back He left her with a tear in her eye As he headed down the railroad track
She thinks about him, now and then The stolen promises and the lost days Would she ever want to do it again And lose her way through love's maze
The truth about what is love driven Will never leave a heart forsaken As the truth of what is freely given Can not be robbed, nor ever taken

Winter's dread of fallen snow Blankets my mundane existence Months appear as the days go With little or no resistance
Between the shadows of the day Sunlight beckons a sundry hue For each moment to point the way So each morning can begin anew
Within a breathe of eternal spring Life renews within an open heart When moments becomes a precious thing Mornings become a brand new start

A Choice of Fate

Is life a choice or a matter of fate? Do you choose your path and direction? Can we change it, before it's too late? When life is but a personal reflection
No matter, that it's a vane existence Arrows point to where you have to go Best to provide only marginal resistance In all, life's a great big circus show!
In the end, running through the hoops Can be a disaster or a bit of fun Remember, you're not playing to groups Life has just an audience of one

Missing Magic

I wrote a poem on the [post 81447] and wanted to save it to my blog. so here it is......"Magic" is that thing that allows you love.
Somewhere, beneath the winter's frost Love's Magic still and sleeping In a place where dreams are lost A home not in our keeping
Covered in a blanket of snow Of ice that can't warm the heart A cold shoulder turns to sorrow Without the warmth to depart
The hope of eternal spring That "Magic' can come again Seems somehow a distant thing When thinking now, not when
It only takes a little green on a bud so small and frail To discover Magic can be seen And the hope of spring prevail

Starry Night

A glass of wine A starlit night A heaven divine Meant to delight
For in this moment Realizing, I am here Blackens each entitlement Twinkles each sphere
The mind plays the game or sees the reality? It's all the same Perceptions that can be
I choose not To be artificial life is a longshot And I am special
