Two things.... first about " YOU FOLKS" and second about Trump...
Blackmail...... is an act of coercion using the threat of revealing or publicizing either substantially true or false, and often damaging, information about a person, to the public, family members, or associates unless certain demands are met. It may involve using threats of physical, mental or emotional harm, or of criminal prosecution, against the victim or someone or close to the victim.[1][2] It is normally carried out for personal gain, most commonly of position, money, or property.
What don't "You Folks" understand about blackmail?
Second....In regards to Trump's "blackmail"
When the Blackmailer.. says.... pay me 5 billion dollars for a WALL, or I'll shut down the government....and the government answers back.. "GO F*CK YOURSELF"..
Doesn't it seem strange...?
That the blackmailer could think...the answer would change...... if you change the demand to 2.5 billion dollars?

2020.. and the survey says....

On the basis of interpreting a new survey... about Democrats and Independent voter being "excited" about a Democratic candidate running
Biden... .....53% excited.......24% not
Sanders.....36%excited....... 41% not
O'Rourke...30% excited.......15 % not
Most of the other were pretty equal in "excitement" and "not".. all well below 30% for each.
A couple of candidates were upside down...Sanders and Warren..
Just for fun.....Hillary Clinton....15% excited...70% not
But the winner of the survey was....." Someone" new
59% excited and 11% not.
Based on the survey...The three candiates.. that weren't upside down and lowest name recognitiion.. making them someone "new"
O'Rourke, Harris, and Klobuchar.
The three that were also the lowest perventage in "NOT" excited were
O'Rouke, Harris and Klobuchar..
They also, broke down a black vote survey....
Biden 66% excited
Harris 40% excited
O'Rourke....the lowest.. 13% excited..
What the survey tells US
Biden is the leading Candidate....But doesn't have a lot of room to grow.
Those that are upside down.. shouldn't be considered.. too much negative.
Someone New.. has the best chance.. with room to grow. Not to BE the Candidate.. but BECOME the candidate.
Of the ones we know. the favorite......In order.
Besides Biden the APPARENT favorite, who will win by default.. if others fail...
Beto O'Rouke.. Obvious.. best differential, least negative, highest unknown, least minority preference, and MOST room to grow..
Amy Kobuchar... Most room to grow.. but a long shot
Kamela Harris..... Some room to grow....minority preference, over Booker..

Politcally Non-Political 2020

I want to discuss the Presidential 2020 election.....Parties and candidates..
Although it's most likely Democrats will win the election...They have a choice of platform, direction, policies, and Candidates.... Although Democrats have a leg up.. they need to decide. as to whether or not.. to put their foot on the throat of Republicans.
To do what Republicans do....enhancing negative appearances to appeal to their base
I think there is one thing we have learned from Trump... and that is appealing to just your base doesn't work.. So why should Democrats even try to do it. Democrats WILL NOT have to court their base. This election is a free ride, for Democrats to do what's right as opposed to do what it takes to win.
The Democrat appearances will be a problem for two reasons...
First.....there will negative effect from the Trump presidency....on the economy, on the institutions of government.. and on Trust ...... Democratic policies will not solve these problem, and may even exacerbate them....but they will stem the tide. That's Pretty typical of what democrats do.. The democrat President will be put under the gun, for promises they can not keep within their term.
Second....the Democrats will have a real appearance problem as to "who" they Represent... If democrats believe a person of color's vote is more important than a white vote... Or a women vote is more important than a man's vote.
A vote is a vote....Getting out the Black vote or Hispanic vote or women's vote...From
an appearance standpoint is detrimental to unity.
So the Democrats have to be politically Non-Political...From an non-appearance from the smell of partisanship and favortism...From a policies standpoint... It must be understood.. that there is no magic wand .. It will be good and it will appear bad..
So what does all that mean?
First.. bi-partisanship, unity, ideals honesty, and trust must be the focus.. policies being tempered...to achieve those goals.
Second.. the Presidential candidate should be a White male.....The difference in policies and qualifications.. doesn't outweigh the difference in appearance. the difference in policies..will be undermined by the inability to properly enact those policies, and that automatic appearance of the negativity.....The Candidate will be hung by their own policies.. The Vice President candidate should be women.. because this election needs to not be about this election but about future elections. Open the door before turning over the office..
Third the candidate should not be one of the "old guard" and straddle with the 'old ways"
To put it simply the Democrats need a "White" Obama...

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the House

The legislature was hung by the shutdown with care,

The moon on "The Wall... Like new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre to the Senate and the House below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But the elf, Ryan, and a caucus of eight tiny reindeer,
With a Trump as the driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment... It wasn't a saint but their Schtick.

Self-Determination as to countries....is very hypocritical concept from an American and more so from "America First" point of view.
.. When from almost every other world power the concept doesn't exist.
It's been proven through history, and it's being proven Now..
If a single country sticks it's finger in that pie.. IT can NEVER come out clean..
I have ALWAYS felt the same about the Middle East... Ideological CONCEPTS and "Other" RELIGIONS are NOT our Enemy..You can't defeat them with "boots on the ground"..
There is No self determination in the Middle East NOW.. and you can't create it. You GOT to let it play out. Our goal in the Middle East..should have been to fence them off, and build the "wall" around Israel.. A fence that works both to keep others away to keep them in.. until they CAN self determine... and keep other "bad actors" out.
Yet if one....sticks their finger in that pie...They become a 'bad actor" and simply bake the pie for someone other "bad actors" to eat.. Who have NO idea what self determination is.....
Since Vietnam we always seem to begin with an "exit strategy" ...but once we get in there..... there is NO extrication. Because THEIR self-determination loses it way..and becomes OUR-determination. We become the "bad actor".

Okay... Mueller is on witch hunt.. getting anything he can to NAIL Trump.. I believe it.
Of course.... that's something to complain about... He shouldn't be doing that or should he?
It's not quite like THE INQUISITION.. A fake "witch hunt".. with "fake news". or Like McCarthyism a "witch hunt" for a threat that didn't exist.
It's kind of more SPECIFIC than that
It's more like an Elliot Ness's "witch hunt".. which nailed Al Capone for Tax Evasion.

Well today reminds me of all the past days......So many.. In which Trump.. made his bed with the "last straw"....that broke the camel's back...or so it seemed?
The ever increasing pain, that allows US to ignore the pain that has come before.
the old pain that never gets to fester .. as new greater pain takes it's place....
Syria, Afghanistan, Russia, the stock market, Whitaker, Mueller, Barr, blackmail and government shutdown, lies of "retirement" and the truth of the Mattis resignation.. all in one Day!
Republican saying... let's see who Trump appoints to take Mattis's place.. what do they think we are idiots?... What was the reason for Mattis resignation? One has to try an imagine .. who could replace Mattis?..... Fill Mattis's position? What would be the qualifications?
Another 'Straw Man" to add to Trump's bed?
The reason Mattis resigned... It's not because... he was not the "right man".... it was because the position didn't exist.
So now what's left over in the Trump administration...The evidence is overwhelming...
We either got corrupted individuals.. Or 'straw men".

The Democratic party is at the crossroads...not in regards to 2020 elections..They will win that.. But what will that win mean..
I have a real problem with the Democratic party.. Getting out the black vote.. If the 2020 election is about getting out the Black vote nothing will change. .....We are not there yet.. but the goal needs to be .. there is no such thing as a "Black Vote"
I would have a problem with the Democratic Party.. putting a face on getting rid of Trump.. and then making that person President.
I have a problem with the Democrats...returning US to Pre-Trump.. like that alone is going to Make America Great Again.
I would have a problem with the Democrats. Thinking this next election is an ideological Mandate.. That what they complain about Republicans..that they do it in turn. I would hope Democrats don't fight fire with fire.. instead "carry the water" to dose it out.
I would hope that Democrats don't point the finger... when bad repercussion happen because of the Trump Presidency.. I hope Democrats tear down WALLS and build bridges.
I would hope Democrats don't allow OUR Problems to define Us.. because we are too busy fixing them..That people can live their day to day life ..in trust...of government FOR THE PEOPLE and BY THE PEOPLE.. In Trust that the American watchdog.. is everywhere...every institution, every federal, State and local government office, and every official. That every Citizen is a watchdog to protect what they hold dear..That there is something GREATER in the American individual...other than greed, wealth and power.
That there would be no room for conspiracy and corruption to hide.
This is something I honestly believe.. Doing the crime is not about doing the time, about getting caught and punishment.. Doing the crime.. the greater punishment is always self-inflicted..ALWAYS...It may take days, weeks, months or years..but there will be no punishment..like that which is self-inflicted. ...The Reckoning.... Believe Me... Nobody "gets away" with anything

Tribal and Territorial

No matter which 'sphere" one lives.. whether it's a sphere of family, community, city, State county or EARTH... there is a dynamic within each sphere...Of controlling what happens within it.. When there is a "battle" for control...the sides for control become tribal and territorial..
This isn't an opinion .. It's a fact.
No matter the a size of the sphere..... The more "closed" it is.. the more tribal and territorial it becomes. Being "closed" meaning... it's the only sphere a person can live within, and focus on no matter it's size.
Tribalism and being territorial sets a different standard of values.
Anything good for the tribe is good for You
Anything the attacks the security of ones territory is bad.
This is all within the realm of controlling the Sphere from within
It is the where all end all..
That is until a different sphere comes along to control all the territory and all the tribes.
this attack on the "sphere"... becomes an attack on everybody within it. ...and being territorial or tribal from within becomes meaningless.
