One of problem of getting old.. is that there isn't a nerve in our body that doesn't fray. once you start down that path..nerves begin to fray other nerves. we just don't quite comprehend it.. "Split ends" follow down from our hair follicles right to our brain.
WE tend to forget our nervous system..which is the message center and acts like a warning when it goes off. Also has a tremendous effect on our well being, when it doesn't go off.
At our age the warning system goes off. but we have no idea what the warning system is trying to tell us. We think it's about an injury, we don't know but may have experienced.. We think it's about a disease. or something like cancer, that's making it happen..
For most of us it's an unavoidable trauma.
Yet for most of us.. It's just our body telling us we are getting fricken old

How Republicans have screwed themselves

We try to see the damage done to The Republican Party by Trump.. but there is a far greater issue.. Education issues have now come to a head.. The Republican idea of our education system as indoctrinating as opposed to educating, is going to become the new excuse for losing the young voters in this election. Much like election denial...education denial is needed to dissuade the youth from this Republican mistake. Today, voting age youth that have voted against the Republican extreme will be lost to the Republican party for their entire lifetime. One may think that Republicans could change positions to Change this, but it can't happen now. People don't remember the circumstances they only remember the feeling those circumstances create. The voting youth now have a bad taste in their mouth, and changing what you feed them doesn't change the taste. America, and especially in Texas, Republican future is now in great danger, if our democracy can stay intact. Todays Republican have now forced themselves to go all in.

There is no state that the Republican have a stronger stranglehold. There is something terribly wrong in Texas.. I am not sure whether the fix is in by corruption or by design.. but no democrat can win in Texas.. Yet the Demographics should say different. Besides all the missteps... including abortion, voting rights, power grids, healthcare, education, that should at least make the races close.. there is a more ominous political design. It's effectiveness is from the ground up...the institutions of policing, and every single department in the Texas government.. In which NO Democrat has any control.

Ulvalde can speak of guns, security, mental, illness as causes. But in truth.. It's the people of Ulvalde and almost every community in Texas and their inability to oversee every Ulvade government function, especially policing who's priority should be to serve and protect. Who's mayor and city council and legal department and school boards have more concern about operating within the political system of Texas than serving the people. Who are considered second class citizens. That local elections are bought and paid for by Republican donors and then leveraged. The people of TexaS HAVE NO REAL CHOICES.

There is lesson to learn.. When people have no real choice in elections.. then polticians have no need to serve them. There is no State in which the pre-election fight is almost never made by Republicans. It's because they got it in the bag.

I am not a big voting person.. It's from years of not being concerned so much about policies.. Liberal or conservative didn't seem to make much difference. Policy wise, I believed in trying it, before you decide you didn't like it. For the most part it all seemed to come out the same in the wash.
But lately.. I vote in EVERY election. Still it's not about the policies.. It about the direction of the country. Build a wall, or don't build a wall WTF do I care.
Tell me the truth.. and i say let's see what happens
Lie to me, and I don't want to see what you got in store. Election deniers are a LIE, they don't even want to fix what they try to make us believe is true..
Cancel culture:
a social environment in which publicly boycotting or withdrawing support for people, organizations, etc. regarded as promoting socially unacceptable beliefs is widespread practice:
The irony is stifling.. that republicans talk about Liberal cancel culture.. when in fact...Election denying is the epitome of cancel culture.

Men are "blowing" bubbles

For men what is the"bubble" we forced ourselves to live in.. The bubble is far more pronounced in men.... Men don't do what they use to do. Men are no longer motivated by standards and norms and expectations from society. They no longer can handle a role.. that isn't a role. Men were once slotted into a role That turned boys to men.. That's no longer the case. The idea that we were once a society in which men were in control...was never really true.. except for the fact that men thought so and were taught so.. They could "keep up" because they thought they were in charge..but that ain't the case anymore. Men are being left behind in a society that moves too fast, requires too much understanding, and no longer gives them direction and the sense of control. So the bubble is casted, and men turn in, turn out and turn away that which the once believed was theirs.
As most women know.. men left to their own device create their own vices.

You can't burst the bubble

I realize the change that has occurred in my own life.. that applies to almost everyone else.. Until six years ago, I didn't live in a bubble. This, for me is not about politics but it applies.. What does living in a bubble do? Well first it attacks reasoning that include diverse opinions, it forces the mind inside oneself, and it searches out it's commonality with others.
It's individual tribalism, that the commonality is not what's inside the bubble but the bubble itself.
We know it's real..In a society that has forced it upon us....where once we had to deal with and live amongst diverse opinions and people we no longer have to. We get to choose to not learn about those things and to live in our own bubble There is so much evidence of this created by technology, economy and work places, friends and family, and politics
The differences are exaggerated. without the forced evidence in dealing with diversity to understand it. You don't need to go out of your way to see someone to find out what he, she or it means.. just push a button on a computer. let your own mind figure it out
Poor people don't know rich people and rich people no longer know the middle class. People of one religion don't know people of other religions. Citizen no longer know immigrants.. Men don't know women, and women don't know men. The young do not know the old nor the old know the young. only what they get from pushing a button.
The bubble was created when once we were forced to determine the truth by interacting and understand with one another, now it's but a choice. The choice is the bubble.

I know people in Texas don't get it . I know they don't understand what their system provides. This shooting, in Uvalde was result of failure of citizens oversight (because they don't know any better) and the failure of governing and policing responsibility.. The priorities and responsibilities of the policing forces have been manipulated. The priority of policing in any city near the border. We think in terms of separation of power and duties. But it's not that way in Texas. Whether you're called local police , state police, border police or school police.. Their priorities are the same.. Protect the property of those in power, and help to secure the border. Of Course, Texans ship illegals to other States and cities and call them "sanctuary" You can argue that it's bad when State and local police do not support ICE. Yet I would choose to argue they have their priorities and responsibilities in order. To Protect and Serve.. Who were the Uvalde Police the State Police protecting and serving?

New World Order

A new world order.. sounds ominous.. But globally it is inevitable.. the Choice between nationalism and isolationism.. or authoritarian and democratic, in the historic sense, can not work. To survive, one must think outside the box, something new that would have the possibility to create a workable world order. Only the Republican Trump party has the idea that they can create the new world order from authoritarianism, nationalism, religious control, and elitism.. The Democrats conspiracy is idealism, That has no direction or ability to succeed. The Republican conspiracy also can not succeed.. Yet it has proved, that democracy can not create a new world order with it's inability to create order in a country that has existed with it for 200 years...From an historical viewpoint everything has changed with dependent economic ties and universal communications. The adversaries have changed to overpopulation, limited resources, nationalism, pandemics, and climate change.

I guess I should be interested in what's happening in the State of Kansas, but I am fixated on what is happening in the State of Texas.
Texas best represents America.. In diversity, economics . politics. geographics, and religion.
As a wonder how America can abide by Lies and corruption, i find the answer in Texas.
A minority hold on all the facets of governing, economics, and religion.
It's a corruption and perversion beyond the scope of anything we have known.
I don't want to deal with what Beto is, or what Beto represents. In the State of Texas it really doesn't matter.
What matter is the ability of the citizens of Texas to make changes. To take back their State.
How can a Texans change the current status of an economic stranglehold, a failure of accountability. A law enforcement with priorities that exclude to Serve and Protect, and a purposeful diminishing of the Rights of it it's citizens. The status of one of the Richest State and the least services to it's middle class and poor. The attempt to control it's position in the classroom by controlling education. A State in which all levels of governing has been compromised.
How do the people of Texas take control back..
Well what we'll find out is how deep it goes., how corrupt it is, and how controlling it's become.
we'll find out if it's too soon to be able to overcome and if Beto Orouke is just a sacrificial lamb. I think it is.. the polls don't matter in Texas. from the standpoint of the people of Texas Beto is way ahead.
Can Beto win?... I don't think so. there is just too much in Texas to overcome

It's scary to think about happening in Florida and Texas and some other States.. And how it's reflects on both America and Us as human beings..The misinformation and the need to believe it.. the Liberal open border policy, and being "pro-abortion" No one I know believes in those things. or the Rights policy of How and 18 yr old doesn't need a background check to buy an Uzi .....Yet citizen papers require someone to treat another human being with decency. Most liberals find themselves on that side.. not because they disagree with the Right policies or are compassionate, and side with illegal immigration.. You don't have to like someone.. to be offended when they are not being treated with decency.
The Red states has now gone from it's us against them...While places like Martha vineyard understand it's about Us, illegal immigration, and how we treat people. It's has nothing to do with like or dislike,,or agree or disagree.
