From A to Z

Take my hand and lead the way,
tell me all you want to say.
Whisper softly in my ear,
all those things I want to hear.
Kiss my lips and touch my skin,
bring out passions deep within.
Pull me close and hold me near,
take away my pain and fear.
In the brightness of the sun,
Show me I'm the only one.
Give me wings so I can fly,
for I soar when you're nearby.
Enter my heart, break down the wall,
it's time for me, to watch it fall.
I've been a prisoner, can't you see?
Break my chains, and set me free.
Strip me of my armor tight,
You'll find I won't put up a fight.
Release my soul held deep within,
I'm ready now,
Let love come in.

So many beautiful poems to share with you

Hope that all of you have a Heppy Heart

Businesses and unions planning to meet on possible $3 trillion pension disaster

Labor groups will be invited to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to talk about an alarming shortfall in state employee pension plans that some believe could lead to a new government bailout.

Randy Johnson, the Chamber’s senior vice president for Labor, Immigration and Employee Benefits, told The Hill the total shortfall for state pension funds could run as high as $3 trillion.
A Chamber spokesperson said the event is in the early stages of development, and it is unclear which unions would be invited to participate or when the session would be held.

While the faltering economy has kept the dire state of pensions from grabbing many headlines, several experts agree that absent drastic measures these funds could be the next financial calamity that receives a government bailout.

An August report by the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University found government pension programs in as many as 31 states are headed for financial disaster by 2030, and taxpayers will likely wind up paying for unfunded liabilities.

“Even if states uniformly eliminated generous early retirement deals and raised the retirement age to 74, the unfunded liability for promises already made would still be more than $1 trillion,” Kellogg associate professor Joshua Rauh said in prepared remarks.

“Assuming states don’t start defaulting on their bonds and other debts, it seems that taxpayers will be footing most of the multi-trillion dollar bill for the pension promises that states have already made to workers,” he added.

Pension funds suffered when markets fell during the financial crisis that began in 2008, and many cannot pay promised benefits to retirees. As a result, experts believe drastic cuts will be required unless the federal government steps in.

Accenture’s group chief executive of health and public service, told The Hill: “I think the next shoe to drop is going to be the pension funds.”

“I think you’re going to see wholesale cuts in terms of what’s being given to pensioners and to the recipients of pensions,” said Rohleder. “And this will trigger another round of fiscal crisis.”

The Chamber hosted a similar conference in July in which union members complained about not having a seat at the debate table.

“They said, ‘You’re not giving us a fair debate,’” Johnson said. “So I think what we’re going to do is have another conference and give them their debate.”

The July conference looked at pension plans for state government employees that are underfunded. Johnson said that because nearly half of all union members work in the public sector, they will likely have a vested interest in the fate of these funds.

Business groups are worried the problems with the pension funds will lead to higher taxes on businesses.

“Because paying the piper is so far off, people aren’t paying attention to it; but it’s coming,” Johnson said. “It’s an alarming trend where our members are going to be facing higher taxes. And workers are not going to be immune.”

Many elderly people suffer slight cognitive problems but men are more likely than women to suffer momentary memory lapse or senior moments, according to a U.S. study.

Researchers from the Mayo Alzheimer's Disease Research Center in Rochester, Minnesota, found 19 percent of men aged 70 to 89 years had so-called mild cognitive impairment, compared to only 14 percent of people with mild cognitive impairment have problems with memory but can carry out everyday activities and generally realize that they're forgetful. The National Institutes of Health says "mild cognitive impairment" falls in between normal forgetfulness and dementia.

Researcher Dr. Ronald Petersn said the findings were surprising because Alzheimer's disease, which is preceded by this type of mental decline, affects more women than men
Even after accounting for differences in education, age, and diseases like diabetes and hypertension, men had about 50 percent higher odds than women of having mild cognitive impairment.

"The gender differences were somewhat surprising to us because most people believe that women are at higher risk than men," Petersen told Reuters Health.

He said not everyone with mild cognitive impairment develops dementia but some people do which makes it a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease.

An estimated 15 percent of people with mild cognitive impairment end up with full-blown dementia each year. In the general population, that number is between one and two percent.

THE MAOBAMA AND HOLDER DOJ are just getting waay too stupid now...

while the economony hovers at over 10 to 20 percent and we're spending tax dollars on this? and asking for more stimulus money?? AND HE IS TAKING MILLION DOLLAR VACATIONS AND HIS WIFE HAS BAZILION $$$ VACATIONS IN SPAIN???

I wish it all came out of HIS pocket

I wonder if he would do this to a black governor??

Keeping the heat on Arizona’s immigration policies, the U.S. Justice Department has sued a Phoenix-area community college system for allegedly discriminating against non-citizens by requiring them to show extra paperwork before they could be hired.

The suit, filed against the Maricopa County Community College District on Monday, comes less than two months after the Justice Department sued Arizona over the state’s tough new law targeting illegal immigrants. The department also is investigating possible civil-rights abuses by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a border hawk who calls himself “America’s toughest sheriff.”
Republican Gov. Jan Brewer has been feuding with the Obama administration over its legal challenge to the immigration law. More recently, she condemned a State Department human-rights report to the United Nations Human Rights Council that took issue with the law, which requires police to check the immigration status of anyone they stop or detain if they suspect that person is in the country illegally.

That particular provision of the law has been put on hold by a federal judge.

The latest lawsuit followed a yearlong Justice Department probe that officials say revealed “a pattern or practice of discrimination” by the community college system. During an 18-month period, nearly 250 non-citizen job applicants were required to present green cards and other work-eligibility documents beyond those required by federal law.

The Immigration and Nationality Act’s anti-discrimination clause “makes it unlawful to treat authorized workers differently during the hiring process based on their citizenship status,” Thomas E. Perez, the assistant attorney general who heads the Civil Rights Division, said in a statement.

College officials declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation. But one official from Arizona criticized the Justice Department’s news release announcing the lawsuit. The headline read: “Justice Department files a lawsuit alleging immigration-related employment discrimination.”

“If they didn’t use ‘immigration’ in the headline of their press release, this wouldn’t have been a flashpoint,” said the official, who was not authorized to speak about the lawsuit. “I don’t think their new release would have attracted as much attention as it did.”

The suit was filed on behalf of Zainul Singaporewalla, a U.S. permanent resident who in 2008 was offered a part-time math teaching job at Glendale Community College, part of the Maricopa college system.

He produced a California driver’s license, Social Security card and a Department of Homeland Security form attesting to his permanent legal status, the lawsuit said, but he was still asked to fill out more immigration paperwork and present a green card.

When Singaporewalla failed to produce his green card, the job offer was withdrawn.

In the suit, the Justice Department requests that the community college system pay a penalty of $1,100 for each of the 247 non-citizen job applicants who were required to provide additional work documents.

called The Cordoba Initiative

a deeper look into the Cordoba Initiative and its president, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf

On May 25, Manhattan’s Community Board One voted 29-1 in favor of the mosque, called the Cordoba Initiative, to be built 600-feet from the North Tower’s foot print at Ground Zero.

Prior to the board vote, a second mosque, the Masjid announced plans to build their mosque in the shadows of Ground Zero as well.

Support for such an insult is to be expected by certain segments of American society. Sadly, many freedom loving people with a suicidal grip on the Constitution are also in support of the mosques going up near Ground Zero.

The U.S. is currently engaged in a war effort against Islamic jihadists. True, we are not at war with Islam, but Islam (by decree) is at war with the West and all infidels (non-believers of Allah). There are many occurrences of jihad waged on American soil under the banner of Islam, but none as pivotal or devastating as the terror attacks that occurred on 9/11/2001.

Ground Zero in Lower Manhattan, NYC, is one of the sites where Islamic jihadists struck the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center (WTC) killing tens of thousands of innocents.

From the rubble of the WTC, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, president of the Cordoba Initiative, called for Islamic dawa and sharia law on American soil, usurping the American Constitution.

Some that pride themselves as Patriots believe it is their constitutional duty to protect that Imam’s “right” to build his Initiative in the shadows of Ground Zero.

The framers did not intend the Constitution to be a suicide pact, nor did the framers desire that the Constitution be used by our enemies or supporters of the same to tear us asunder, or as a tool to promote useful idiots.

Supporters of dawa, jihad and sharia law and the furtherance of the same wrap themselves in a cloak of religious freedom and we say, “Welcome to America.” How easy are we?

What is Dawa?

Simply defined, dawa is a call to Islam. It is the manner in which dawa is utilized that poses the danger to the West.

Robert Spencer, expert on Islamic studies and director of Jihad Watch, explains:

“Dawa is Islamic proselytizing and in Islamic law dawa precedes jihad. You call the nonbelievers to Islam. And if they refuse to accept it, then you initiate a jihad against them. But the whole goal of both dawa and jihad is to impose Islamic law or sharia upon the nonbelievers as a political system, not as a religious one.”

Abu ‘Ubeid Al-Qurashi, Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda lieutenant, Admits to September 11 and Explains Al-Qa'ida's Combat Doctrine; in that doctrine those responsible for creating the rubble at Ground Zero called dawa “integral to triumph in fourth-generation warfare.”

The Islamic Dawa Party, the current ruling Party in Iraq, is rooted in a radical past and along with The Islamic Jihad Organization is linked to the 1983 suicide terrorist bombing of the US embassy in Kuwait.

As mentioned earlier, the president of the Cordoba Initiative, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf calls for sharia law in America and from the WTC Rubble, Islamic Dawa; this is the imam’s own words and in the title and content of his books.

The Cordoba Initiative purchased the property near Ground Zero for 4.85 million-dollars and paid cash (no paper trail).

The Cordoba Initiative: What’s in a Name

The Cordoba Initiative is an organization whose very name makes reference to what was, 1,000 years ago, one of the world’s most advanced cities, Cordoba, Al-Andalus (Spain). This was a city that was politically and religiously dominated by Islam, and a city that was conquered by jihad (holy war).

Cordoba, Spain was rich with grand mosques and for centuries Spain endured Muslim tyranny, only to be replaced by even more radical Islamic regimes. That was until the Reconquista finally wiped out memories of those dark centuries when Spain had its identity subsumed by being a colony of the Muslims. Not only was Spain reborn, so was a New World.

Imam Faisal’s Cordoba initiative may restore some of Islam’s lost glory. No wonder he calls for dawa from the heart of America; Ground Zero, the site of the rebirth of Islam’s holy war in the West.

Additional Background

The Cordoba Initiative was founded in 2003 by Rauf and is funded by the Malaysian government. Sharia law operates in some Malaysian states and has been applied to non-Muslims in that country. Malays are defined as Muslim by law and forbidden from converting.

Hard-line Islamic law could be introduced across all of Malaysia under reforms proposed by the country's chief justice.

In 2006, Imam Rauf started the Shariah Index Project, which will be carried out by the Cordoba Initiative. In addition to its New York office, the Cordoba initiative has offices in Malaysia.

Faisal Rauf’s father Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rauf (1917-2004) was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood believes in a radical application of jihad. Their ideology was adopted by terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda and Hamas. The Muslim Brotherhood also promotes violence against the U.S. and Israel.

The Nazi regime needed useful idiots as did Lenin who coined the phrase, “useful idiots of the West.”

Has the West given birth to a new generation of useful idiots for an Islamic ideology and regime?

The Cordoba Initiative is raising an additional 100 million dollars for construction. Once completed the mosque will be housed on the top floor of the 13 or 15 story building and will enjoy an expansive view of Ground Zero.

THIS IS REALLY FUNNY,, I SUGGEST YOU CHECK OUT THE UTUBE OR GAGGLE THIS

'My Wife Knows Everything' Beats 'The Wife Doesn't Know'

In Most Ironic Race EVER THE VIDEO ON U TUBE

If only all races were like this. The announcer of this particular race probably didn't know that when it came time to call the winner, he'd be making a statement about gender. Two horses compete neck and neck to the finish, one being the #3 Mywifenosevrything and the other being #7: Thewifedoesntknow. It all made for a hilarious and exciting finish, with the wife who knows everything beating them all in the end.

Our favorite part happens when the announcer says, '"My wife knows everything MORE than my wife doesn't know." We're actually surprised neither lost to another with a gender-inspired name, "Little Miss Macho."

You can officially stop feeling guilty about those little "bad-for-you" habits you can't seem to break. Turns out, many of life's greatest indulgences bring big health benefits -- helping you stay slim, fight off the blues, and kick disease to the curb.

And we've got the 10 best right here, conveniently ranked by Health magazine's expert panelists. Start at the top of the list to get the most bang for your healthy buck, and keep moving on down to learn how to boost your well-being in the most decadent ways possible.

Pleasure No. 1: Getting your zzz's: Our experts unanimously agreed: Sleep is free and has virtually zero health drawbacks, making it the one treat no one should skimp on. Pillow time gives you energy, bolsters your immune system, boosts your memory, and even helps you get (or stay) slim.

Cut slumber short, and you'll find it harder to make decisions (no surprise to anyone who's struggled through a workday after a too-late bedtime). Plus, you'll increase your risk for anxiety and depression.

"Lack of sleep has also been associated with hypertension, glucose intolerance, and belly fat -- all risk factors for heart disease," says Nieca Goldberg, M.D., medical director of the New York University-Langone Women's Heart Program.

Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep a night, the amount that studies show is ideal. If you're up-and-at-'em on less, don't sweat it: Some people are just wired that way, Goldberg says. But if you have trouble falling or staying asleep, or can't seem to drag yourself out of bed on a regular basis, talk to your doctor about possible underlying causes, such as anxiety or sleep apnea.

Pleasure No. 2: Playing hooky: There's a reason it's called a mental-health day. Studies confirm that time off -- whether on a trip out of Dodge or a 24-hour staycation -- relieves stress, lowering your blood pressure and your risk for heart disease.

It also promotes creative thinking (attention, bosses!). And women in a 2005 study who took two or more vacations per year were less likely to be depressed than women who took one every two years.

Can't swing more than a few days away? No problem: The length of a vacation had no bearing on how happy it made people, according to a recent study in the journal Applied Research in the Quality of Life.

What's more, the biggest thrill came before the vacation. So spread around the joy of that sweet anticipation by planning short jaunts throughout the year instead of one big blowout trip.

Pleasure No. 3: Sexual healing: Getting frisky is, hands-down, the most pleasurable form of physical activity there is. Having sex releases feel-good endorphins and oxytocin, the hormone that promotes attachment.

"That component of feeling connected to another person really benefits mental health," says Alice Domar, Ph.D., the executive director of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health.

Another plus: Subjects in one study who did it once or twice a week had higher levels of the antibody immunoglobulin A, which shields you from colds and other infections. Why doesn't sex rank higher on our list? It can bring unintended consequences, from sexually transmitted infections (especially if you're not currently monogamous and not practicing safe sex) to "oops!" pregnancies.
10 reasons you're not having sex

Pleasure No. 4: A daily chocolate fix: Our experts gave a hearty thumbs-up to nibbling a little chocolate every day -- as long as you stick to a square or two of the dark kind, to minimize sugar and fat intake and maximize the benefits. (The temptation to overeat this sweet treat accounts for it not making it into the top three.)

Dark chocolate and cocoa may help lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of stroke, and provide other cardiovascular benefits, multiple studies have shown.

"Dark chocolate contains antioxidants called flavonoids, believed to improve the flexibility of blood vessels," Goldberg explains. "That can help lower blood pressure and also make blood vessels more resistant to plaque buildup."

Chocolate's rep as a go-to comfort food when you're upset has science behind it, too. A study published late last year found that eating 1.4 ounces of dark chocolate a day for two weeks reduced stress hormones in highly anxious people. Check for at least 75 percent cacao content to get the most bliss for your bite.

ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT MEN IN THIS ONE?? HAHAHAHA

Pleasure No. 5: Girls' nights out: A flurry of recent studies have shed light on how huge an impact our friends and family have on our behavior, from what we drink and eat to how much we weigh -- for better and for worse.

But there's little question that strong social ties can bring a host of benefits: fewer colds, better brain health, and a longer life, to name a few.

"Friendships are very good for you -- as long as you hang out with people with whom you have a well-balanced relationship and limit your time spent with people who are toxic for you," Domar says.

Pleasure No. 6: Full-fat dressing: For years we were trained to reach for low-fat everything, but there's no need to deprive yourself of the real deal. Full-fat foods not only taste better but also serve a real health purpose, as long as you get the right amounts of the right kinds.

Aim for at least 10 percent of your daily fat intake to come from monounsaturated fats (found in vegetable oils, avocados, and many nuts and seeds), says Keri Gans, R.D., a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association.

These fats reduce your risks of heart disease and stroke -- a big deal, since coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death of American women. In fact, nearly twice as many women die of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases as from all forms of cancer.

Omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish such as salmon and tuna, and in flaxseed and walnuts) also lower heart disease risk and may help decrease symptoms of depression, rheumatoid arthritis, and other ailments. Plus, "when you have a meal that includes a little fat, you tend to feel more satisfied, so you eat less," Gans says.

Still, no more than 30 percent of your daily calories should come from fat -- even the good kind.

Pleasure No. 7: Your morning java: It's completely OK if you need it to pry your eyes open in the a.m. A wealth of research suggests that coffee doesn't just pick you up -- it fights heart disease and some cancers, and it may even help you push through harder, longer workouts.

Moderate coffee-drinking in middle age has been associated with lower risks for dementia and Alzheimer's. And a 2009 review of more than four decades of research found that for every additional cup of coffee you drink each day -- high-octane or decaf -- your risk of developing type 2 diabetes shrinks by 7 percent, possibly because chemicals in the beverage improve your body's insulin sensitivity and increase metabolism.

Enjoy up to two cups a day; more than that may leave you jittery or rob you of that precious number-one pleasure -- sleep.

Pleasure No. 8: Getting a rubdown: Don't ever feel guilty about shelling out for massages.
"In general, people who are touched regularly are healthier," Domar says. And if your budget doesn't include spa services, consider hands-on time with your honey.

Women in a 2008 study noted less pain, depression, anxiety, and anger when they were massaged twice a week by their partners -- and (bonus!) their partners reported better mental health, too.

Pleasure No. 9: Basking in the sun: Bright days really do lift our moods -- sunshine is the ultimate natural antidepressant, triggering our bodies to nip production of the sleep-stimulating hormone melatonin so we're alert, energized, and ready to face the day. Exposing bare skin to the sun also triggers the synthesis of vitamin D, a hormone that may reduce your risks for cancer, heart disease, fragile bones, and other problems.

Still, many doctors feel that no amount of unprotected sun exposure is safe (that's the official position of the American Academy of Dermatology). So always wear sunscreen and, Goldberg says, take a D supplement if your levels are low; see your doc to find out.

Pleasure No. 10: Wine with dinner: The buzz on wine is about its heart-healthy properties, though researchers aren't entirely sure how it works its magic. Its antioxidants may keep blood vessels flexible, or alcohol could boost HDL (good) cholesterol.

Either way, the key is moderation: one 5-ounce glass a day. More than that can raise blood pressure and pack on pounds.

"Women who drink heavily also have higher rates of breast cancer," Goldberg warns.

More of a martini kind of gal? No problem: You can get similar perks from one liquor drink or beer a day. So go ahead -- raise a glass to the pleasures of the healthy life!

SINCE ,MOST LIBERALS AND NOBAMA LOVERS ARE IN FAVOR OF THIS, THOUGHT I WOULD CHIME IN AND ADD MORE INFO!

THERE IS A LOT OF MISINFORMATION REGARDING THE AFORMENTIONED ,

Last week, a journalist who writes for the North Country Times, a small newspaper in Southern California, sent us an e-mail titled "Help." He couldn't understand why an Islamic Centre in an area where Adam Gadahn, Osama bin Laden's American spokesman came from, and that was home to three of the 911 terrorists, was looking to expand.

The man has a very valid point, which leads to the ongoing debate about building a Mosque at Ground Zero in New York. When we try to understand the reasoning behind building a mosque at the epicentre of the worst-ever attack on the U.S., we wonder why its proponents don't build a monument to those who died in the attack?

New York currently boasts at least 30 mosques so it's not as if there is pressing need to find space for worshippers. The fact we Muslims know the idea behind the Ground Zero mosque is meant to be a deliberate provocation to thumb our noses at the infidel. The proposal has been made in bad faith and in Islamic parlance, such an act is referred to as "Fitna," meaning "mischief-making" that is clearly forbidden in the Koran.

The Koran commands Muslims to, "Be considerate when you debate with the People of the Book" -- i.e., Jews and Christians. Building an exclusive place of worship for Muslims at the place where Muslims killed thousands of New Yorkers is not being considerate or sensitive, it is undoubtedly an act of "fitna"

So what gives Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the "Cordoba Initiative" and his cohorts the misplaced idea that they will increase tolerance for Muslims by brazenly displaying their own intolerance in this case?

Do they not understand that building a mosque at Ground Zero is equivalent to permitting a Serbian Orthodox church near the killing fields of Srebrenica where 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered?

There are many questions that we would like to ask. Questions about where the funding is coming from? If this mosque is being funded by Saudi sources, then it is an even bigger slap in the face of Americans, as nine of the jihadis in the Twin Tower calamity were Saudis.

If Rauf is serious about building bridges, then he could have dedicated space in this so-called community centre to a church and synagogue, but he did not. We passed on this message to him through a mutual Saudi friend, but received no answer. He could have proposed a memorial to the 9/11 dead with a denouncement of the doctrine of armed jihad, but he chose not to.

It's a repugnant thought that $100 million would be brought into the United States rather than be directed at dying and needy Muslims in Darfur or Pakistan.

Let's not forget that a mosque is an exclusive place of worship for Muslims and not an inviting community centre. Most Americans are wary of mosques due to the hard core rhetoric that is used in pulpits. And rightly so. As Muslims we are dismayed that our co-religionists have such little consideration for their fellow citizens and wish to rub salt in their wounds and pretend they are applying a balm to sooth the pain.

The Koran implores Muslims to speak the truth, even if it hurts the one who utters the truth. Today we speak the truth, knowing very well Muslims have forgotten this crucial injunction from Allah.

If this mosque does get built, it will forever be a lightning rod for those who have little room for Muslims or Islam in the U.S. We simply cannot understand why on Earth the traditional leadership of America's Muslims would not realize their folly and back out in an act of goodwill.

As for those teary-eyed, bleeding-heart liberals such as New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and much of the media, who are blind to the Islamist agenda in North America, we understand their goodwill.

Unfortunately for us, their stand is based on ignorance and guilt, and they will never in their lives have to face the tyranny of Islamism that targets, kills and maims Muslims worldwide, and is using liberalism itself to destroy liberal secular democratic societies from within.

this came from FRaheel Raza is author of Their Jihad ... Not my Jihad, and Tarek Fatah is author of The Jew is Not My Enemy , to be launched in October. Both sit on the board of the Muslim Canadian Congress.

Plans for the proposed mosque at Ground Zero in New York City were dealt a serious setback as new information has emerged that SOHO Properties (developers proposing the mosque) had fraudulently represented ownership of all the buildings on 45-51 Park Place at the location site and in fact, does not own half the property where the mosque is planned to be built. The New York Post has reported that half of the land/property (49-51 Park Place) is owned by Con Ed, a utility company.

Even if the property owned by Con Ed is agreed to be sold to SOHO Properties, as a clause in the lease that they hold with Soho, because Con Ed is a regulated utility, any asset sale would first need the approval of the New York Public Service Commission, a government entity. In a recent interview with FoxNews, Peter King (R-N.Y.) stated that this new information goes to the very heart of the credibility of the land developers. This revelation catapults the already tumultuous mosque at Ground Zero issue even further into the political landscape and upcoming gubernatorial race in New York.

El-Gamal Pays 4.8 Million for the Ground Zero Property

According to the New York Post, the property/location for the proposed mosque was purchased in 2006 by Sharif El-Gamal, owner of Soho Properties. El-Gamal paid $4.8 million cash for 45-47 Park Place and an extra $700,000 to take over the existing lease with Con Ed for the building next door (49-51 Park Place). El-Gamal told the New York Post his lease (that expires in 2071) was equivalent to ownership. “The cost is not an issue”, he said.

In a related news story (August 9, 2010), Raheel Raza and Tarek Fatah, both Muslim journalists for the Ottawa Citizen in Canada, claim that they, as Muslims, know the Ground Zero mosque is meant to be a deliberate provocation to the United States and its citizens. In their story they ask, “why its proponents don’t build a monument to those who died in the attack?” And in reference to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the “Cordoba Initiative”, they stated, “He could have proposed a memorial to the 9/11 dead with a denouncement of the doctrine of armed jihad, but he chose not to”.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform, Obama Bypassing Congress?

The NOBAMA administration, anticipating that Congress might not pass comprehensive immigration reform this year, is considering ways it could act WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL to achieve many of the objectives of the initiative, including giving permanent resident status, or green cards, to large numbers of people in the country illegally.

The ideas were outlined in an unusually frank draft memo prepared for Alejandro N. Mayorkas, director of the federal agency that handles immigration benefits, U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS). The memo lists ways the government could grant permanent resident status to tens of thousands of people and delay the deportation of others, potentially indefinitely.

“In the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, CIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals and groups by issuing new guidance and regulations,” said the memo,

The 11-page document was made public Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who with six other senators wrote to Obama more than a month ago, asking for his assurance that rumors that some sort of reprieve was in the works for millions of illegal immigrants weren’t true.

“The administration has failed to reassure us that the information we were hearing was inaccurate,” Grassley said in a statement to ProPublica Thursday night. “This memo gives credence to our concerns that the administration will go to great lengths to circumvent Congress and unilaterally execute a back door amnesty plan.”

The memo’s release is certain to put the administration on the defensive with opponents of “comprehensive immigration reform” — Washington code for putting many of the estimated 12 million people in the country illegally on a potential path to citizenship. It is also likely to make immigration an even hotter topic in this year’s congressional elections, which have already been roiled by Arizona’s

The memo’s release is certain to put the administration on the defensive with opponents of “comprehensive immigration reform” — Washington code for putting many of the estimated 12 million people in the country illegally on a potential path to citizenship. It is also likely to make immigration an even hotter topic in this year’s congressional elections, which have already been roiled by Arizona’s controversial attempt to use state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws.

Christopher Bentley, a USCIS spokesman, said last night that the agency would not comment on details of the memo, which he described as an internal draft that “should not be equated with official action or policy of the Department…We continue to maintain that comprehensive bipartisan legislation, coupled with smart, effective enforcement, is the only solution to our nation’s immigration challenges.”

Bentley said that internal memos help the agency “do the thinking that leads to important changes; some of them are adopted and others are rejected” and that “nobody should mistake deliberation and exchange of ideas for final decisions.”

one of the memo’s most controversial suggestions is wider use of “deferred action,” the agency’s discretion to indefinitely delay the deportation of otherwise deportable non-citizens. “This would permit individuals for whom relief may become available in the future to live and work in the U.S. without fear of removal,” the memo said.

The memo proposes 18 different ways for the Obama administration to essentially eliminate our borders through regulatory fiat and in clear violation of the letter and the spirit of U.S. immigration laws, which Obama swore an oath to faithfully execute,”

A barn in Hood County, Texas, has become ground zero in the hunt for the chupacabra.

Earlier this week, animal control officer Frank Hackett shot and killed what was unquestionably one of the ugliest creatures to ever walk the planet. That much we know. What's less clear is whether or not the departed creature was the elusive goat-sucking beast.

Interestingly, that wasn't the only chupacabra sighting around Hood County. A second creature was spotted and killed several miles away. Both appear to be either hairless coyotes, extremely ugly dogs, or, who knows? Maybe the thing they call el chupacabra.

In the wake of the discovery, Web searches on "chupacabra sightings" and "chupacabra texas" both roared to life, as did Web lookups for "chupacabra translation" and "chupacabra definition." According to Virtue Science, the name literally translates to "goat sucker." Legend states that the beast would attack goats and suck their blood. Think of them as a less sexy version of "Twilight"'s infamous vampire Edward Cullen.

Officer Hackett was careful not to say whether or not this is really the mysterious beast. He's going to wait for the DNA tests before he makes up his mind. There is one thing he does know: "It wasn't normal." And another officer on the scene commented that she'd "never seen anything like it."
Below you can watch the locals discuss their findings, but beware. The images of the creature are quite nasty.
