Sharing my read of this afternoon with you from Hyderabad !!

Are you getting enough attention from the person you love?

This question was put to me and I thought that it is best answered through this blog so that others can read and apply it to themselves, if that is what they need/want.

Some times it happens that you put in more love and energy into a relationship than the other person. You send more SMS's, emails, make more calls, arrange more meetings, etc.

The other person, and in this case let's assume that it is your partner, say "Jack", puts in much less effort and when you demand more attention, Jack pretends as if he does not understand what you mean, because he is giving it all that he's got, which in your estimate is not enough.

What should you do?

1. Stop asking/fighting for it?
2. Ask more, fight more?
3. Pretend that all is okay? And that you are the one who is being unreasonable in even wanting more attention?
4. Find someone else?

From the above options, what approach suits you the most?

The person who is not giving you enough attention is probably pushing your buttons and you are reacting, feeling insecure.

Your self-worth is getting hurt and it does not feel good to be in that relationship.

Here is a question for you. How is your relationship with your SELF?

Do you stand in front of the mirror and praise yourself?

Do you buy yourself a massage and other nice things?

Are you your own Valentine?

Everyone else is a mirror to you. How you treat yourself matters.

Do you go to the gym and keep your promises of eating right?

Are you happy?

Try this for some time and you will find that your universe changes to keep up with you and show you how beautiful and special you really are.

Love yourself completely.

I'm not talking about being selfish. As you love yourself more, you will have more love to give others.

Establish the best relationship with your SELF and watch the world change around you.

Stay away from Anger. It hurts ..Only You!

If you are right then there is no need to get angry,

And if you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry.

Patience with family is love,
Patience with others is respect.

Patience with self is confidence and Patience with GOD is faith.

Never Think Hard about the PAST, It brings Tears...

Don't think more about the FUTURE, It brings Fear...

Live this Moment with a Smile,It brings Cheer.

Every test in our life makes us bitter or better,

Every problem comes to make us or break us,
The choice is ours whether we become victims or victorious.

Attractive people may not always be good but good people, deeds and thoughts are always beautiful

Do you know why God created gaps between fingers?

So that someone who is special to you comes and fills those gaps by holding your hand forever.

Happiness keeps You Sweet..But being sweet brings happiness.

All the people in your life are beautiful in their own way.

Share it with all the beautiful People In your Life.

Sharing a forward from a friend in the US posted with the UN HQ
.

A chaplain, who happened to be assigned to the Pentagon, told of an incident that happened right after Flight 77 hit the Pentagon on 9/11.

A daycare facility inside the Pentagon had many , including infants who were in heavy cribs. The daycare supervisor, looking at all the they needed to evacuate, was in a panic over what they could do. There were many , mostly toddlers, as well as the infants that would need to be taken out with the cribs. There was no time to try to bundle them into carriers and strollers.

Just then a young Marine came running into the center and asked what they needed. After hearing what the center director was trying to do, he ran back out into the hallway and disappeared. The director thought, "Well, here we are, on our own."

About 2 minutes later, that Marine returned with 40 other Marines in tow. Each of them grabbed a crib with a , and the rest started gathering up toddlers. The director and her staff then helped them take all the out of the center and down toward the park near the Potomac . Once they got about 3/4 of a mile outside the building, the Marines stopped in the park, and then did a fabulous thing - they formed a circle with the cribs, which were quite sturdy and heavy, like the covered wagons in the Old West. Inside this circle of cribs, they put the toddlers, to keep them from wandering off. Outside this circle were the 40 Marines, forming a perimeter around the and waiting for instructions. There they remained until the parents could be notified and come get their .

The chaplain then said, "I don't think any of us saw nor heard of this on any of the news stories of the day. It was an incredible story of our men there.” There wasn't a dry eye in the room. The thought of those Marines and what they did and how fast they reacted; could we expect any less from them? It was one of the most touching stories from the Pentagon.

It's the Military, not the politicians that ensures our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.

GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ON HUMAN (SPIRITUAL) DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Many of us may(be quite) not want to read it but here it is because there is substance herein. Read on, My Friends ..... these are five answers given by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to the disaster in Central Himalayas. The effect of the disaster was magnified manifold by the shher negligence of many who were responsible for foreseeing, taking timely precautions (and preventive life saving measures) and post disaster action.

I believe their indifference was SPIRITUAL.

Do please pardon me the picture is stolen from elsewhere on trauma management.

Q1: How can civil society, spiritual masters, their followers, individuals and government plan for impending disasters before they occur? The CAG report three years ago did issue a warning on Uttarakhand’s (Cental Himalayas) vulnerability.

A: Today, with modern equipments and radars we should have been able to predict the floods much earlier and stopped this human disaster. Cloud bursts and floods happened in three continents almost during the same time. There were floods in Germany, Calgary and Uttarakhand. Not many lives were lost in the west because people were evacuated in time. When similar floods happened in Andhra Pradesh and coastal Tamilnadu, precautions were taken and people were evacuated in time. But in Uttarakhand, it is due to sheer negligence of the bureaucracy that such a disaster has happened. Also, post flood disaster management is so poor and the bureaucracy is so tight. In Guptakashi, relief material was lying for three days, undistributed just because the sarpanch had not come to note, clear and enter it in the book. Whereas our volunteers delivered 80 truckloads of food, clothes and other relief material -- 200 of them went to these places on their own and engaged in relief work.

There is a dire need for human touch and spiritual values in bureaucracy. Only when this need is fulfilled can a dedicated, committed and corruption-free governance happen. It is most important to bring about values of commitment and this can only happen by introducing spirituality. Commitment levels that you see in NGOs and especially spiritual organisations are very high. To bring that level of commitment in bureaucracy you need to introduce spirituality and a human touch

Q2: You had proposed to the governor of J&K a plan of action to make the Amaranth Yatra safe for pilgrims. What did it involve?

A: The shortest route consists of 14 km, one way. And since there is no resting place in the cave-shrine, one has to walk 28 km in a single day -- which is too much. The trekking route to Amarnath is like keeping the disaster alive. I had written a letter to the prime minister regarding this where I had mentioned that the
movement of yatris must be faster and safer. For example, the tracks should be widened to at least 15 ft as against the current three or four feet. I had listed out many suggestions.

Q3. What steps need to be taken by all involved in preparing the spirit to practice compassion and a spirit of giving in times of disaster/ tragedy/ crisis?

A: We need to sensitise people. In recent years, a sense of numbness, selfishness and greed has gotten revived in society. This has destroyed humanness in society. We really have to reiterate human values. Violence, dominance and arrogance have gotten associated with prestige and pride. Compassion, a sense of service and giving have taken a back seat. This needs to be revised through awareness created by media, education and social interaction.

Q4: What is the message for those suffering loss of lives of relatives and friends due to disaster – how best can they learn to deal with such challenges?

A: When the lives of near and dear ones are lost, that is when your faith in the goodness of society and God is shaken. This is the time when you need your faith to see you through it. Hold onto your faith steadfast in these sensitive and delicate occasions for it is prayer, faith in goodness, society and God that will help you rise above the sinking depression.

THE PRAYER THAT SHOOK THE WORLD !!!!

This was a forward that I received from a Friend who goes by the nickname Hermit. He is a good man. The story relates to the Senate in Kansas - some friends from there may, kindly, confirm its veracity.

I am sure if it is true some of you would have already known about it.

When Pastor Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

“Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare..
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot anti-abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our and called it building self esteem.
We have terrorised the world and called the victims terrorists.
We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbour's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honoured values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today;
cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen.”

-----------------------------------------------------------

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest.

In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively.

The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea . Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, "The Rest of the Story," and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.

WHAT SUCESSFUL WOMEN DO RIGHT

A very nice read from Ms Bhanumathi Narasimhan. She has played a key role in The Art of Living Foundation since its inception. She is the sister of the Art of Living Foundation's founder Sri Sri Ravishankar, a well-known spiritualist.

As a woman on the path to success we expect to feel a sense of achievement when we see that we have reached the top, where we wanted to be. How does it look from there? Will the world and people around you look beautiful? Will the journey to the top be pleasant and memorable? For so many women whom I have met this journey has certainly not been easy. It is not always a journey of mutual support, uplift and friendliness. Instead, you have to be careful about who is conspiring to push you down. There are many challenges, not just due to gender bias, but also due to an unhealthy competition and jealousy from other women themselves! This kind of journey can be very stressful and takes its toll on our body and mind.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar says that one who manages all challenges that life presents before us is successful. However, what are the skills that we need to be able to do this and succeed? Here are six suggestions:

• Commitment: One failure can lead to another success later. We should not be deterred by failures.

• Time: It is not sufficient to invest money to nurture or develop anything. We have to give our personal time and attention.

• Setting an example: A successful woman doesn't just show you the way; she walks the talk.

• Team work: Make others feel involved. Inspire participation and contribution.

• Silence: Nurture quietude and calmness.

• Reflection: Sit quietly at the end of the day, looking back at all the day's activities, seeing where we made a difference. Reminding ourselves of the successes, it can inspire us to do more

A woman has to balance her family, relationships, work, interests and more on the road to success. When you realise that you are multi-faceted, multi-dimensional, you can multi-task. This realisation comes when you are in a calm and serene state of mind, which is achieved through meditation.

When you meditate, the task that took you four hours to complete earlier gets done in two hours. It is necessary that you give prime time to yourself, to relax yourself, to realise your potential to do better. Otherwise you limit your capabilities. When you meditate, you realise the expansion within you, that limitlessness within you.

The meditative woman is successful. Belongingness, commitment, connectedness -- all these qualities are a byproduct of meditation. Sri Sri often says, "Success means strength, an unshakeable smile that nobody can take away and a courage that does not diminish. It does not mean having a big bank balance. There are some very rich people who do not have strength of character. They don't have a sense of belongingness or love. They are unable to appreciate the subtleness of life."
True success is when it extends to both the material and inner realms. Are you enjoying the little things in your life? Have you lately observed the glistening dewdrops in the grass? The birds chirping, the sparrows d

I have always believed that a woman is the heart of the family - she keeps everyone together. A woman is the heart of society - when you empower women to succeed, you are enabling society to prosper.

TALKING TO OUR BIOLOGY/CELLS ............ DNA

This, Friends, is a copy/paste of a very nice article that I read and am reproducing here for your reading pleasure. It is rather lengthy .......... so, please, put on your specks, get your favourite drink and settle down for the reading.

Kryon has been channelling a great deal this past year about our biology, and especially about our DNA. Lately he has encouraged us yet again to "talk to our cells." He’s indicated that the body itself is primed and ready for guidance—as though it has an intelligence that’s actually separate from that which resides in our own brains.

Is it possible that our own cellular structure has an awareness that’s beyond what is available in our own consciousness? Kryon says yes. He has not only told us this, but has also encouraged us to go further. He says we can alter the food, drink, and water that enters our bodies! He’s indicated that we can change the actual molecular properties of the substances we ingest, bringing them to a complementary vibration to our own cellular structure. Lately, he’s also indicated that when we do this, the body is "listening," too, and that we’re actually creating a marriage between the two—the ingested substance and the ingestion engine—creating nutrition and also protection against potential harmful things such as poorly prepared meals, genetically altered foods, and even preservatives. This goes way beyond a "listening" biology. It actually indicates that all matter may be connected, and that intent imbued into one may actually be seen and used by the other.

Can your intent change matter? If you’ve been to any of the Kryon seminars in the past two years, you’ve been shown empirical proof of it. Not only has it been a subject in a recent issue of Time magazine (see below), but also in the profound crystallization experiments of Mr. Emoto Masuru of Japan. This researcher has documented the fact that intent can change water, and he’s used his laboratory in controlled experiments to prove it (http;//www.hado.net).

Kryon goes on to give us even more things to consider. We’re told that the body has a system that’s "listening" and ready to help us in ways we can’t even imagine. This goes way beyond any ability we have to understand, at a logical brain level, what’s happening. Picture this: You hold an aspirin in your hand and tell the body that this is the substance that you wish to use in your body. But instead of actually swallowing it, you just "show" it to the body and give intent for its ingestion. Then you put it back in the bottle, ready to use it again, but your headache goes away! (At this rate, a bottle of aspirin could last forever.) Can this work? Kryon says yes.

Okay . . . is this ridiculous pseudo-science, or is there some reality involved? First, from the reports we get, it’s at least working for some. However, since it’s not a simple chemical reaction (aspirin within the blood), it may not work for everyone. Instead, it’s a marriage of the consciousness of intent plus some kind of invisible body intelligence. In addition, it involves some unknown mechanism of self-correcting body chemistry. It’s got to be fairly complex, and filled with things that we’re yet to discover.

My contention here is that we’ve seen this in other areas for years, and if we start "connecting the dots," we may actually be witnessing an enhancement of something that’s been around for a long time instead of a new biological paradigm.

First, if you’ve studied the "placebo" effect, you already know that there’s something profound and inexplicable that the body does. If your intent is to take a substance (such as a drug or herb) that may help you in a specific biological endeavor, your body often reacts in a positive way, balancing and healing, even if you were in the placebo group that only took the sugar-coated pill instead of the real substance. The body healed anyway!

What happened? This has been a subject of wonder for years, but there hasn’t been much research connected with it. In fact, labs really detest this effect. They say that it really "screws up" some very good experiments, and they’ve often treated it as an anomaly, getting in the way of sound research.

Finally, however, there’s documentation and some science beginning to take place (see Time magazine, January 20, 2003: How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body). There is now evidence that the body indeed has some kind of "awareness" that seems to combine with your conscious cooperation. According to Time, even some surgeons are recommending meditation before surgery, since they now admit that you can change your own blood chemistry through visualization (and they have the blood for validation). To me, this is proof that the body is "listening."

I'll always remember years ago the first time I was exposed to kinesiology (muscle testing). It was in my dentist’s office! Yep . . . he put the substance in my hand that he was going to use to fill my cavity, and told me to hold up my arm firmly while he tried to push it down. If the arm went down easily, despite my efforts to hold it up, then the substance was going to be rejected by my body. If I was able to hold my arm up, then it was okay to use. The substance "tested" okay, and we used it.

Later I told him that I couldn’t believe this weird process could work. So he showed me proof. He put an unknown substance (to me) in my hand, and we tried it again. As much as I tried to hold my arm up, he was easily able to push it down! The substance turned out to be mercury. The body had rejected it, even without my knowing what it was. The next time I experienced this kind of testing was with my chiropractor. Both my dentist and chiropractor were educated medical professionals, and they trusted this process. I was impressed. They were employing "spooky body knowledge," something they don’t teach in medical school.

Homeopathy, probably one of the oldest health practices on planet, has also always intrigued me. Using an amount of a substance so small that it’s undetectable by modern analysis, the body still "sees" it, and performs as though you’d given it a whopping amount of something. This same philosophy, combined with intent, has also had some wonderful results as reported by some diabetic Lightworkers. They indicate that they’ve been able to reduce their doses of insulin to almost nothing, but they still have to give the body a little to let it know what the intent is from "the boss." The next step? Holding the insulin in their hands instead! Can this be effective? They’re working on it.

What’s happening? My feeling is that we’re being given a new energy on the planet to enhance some very old concepts—that the biology of our Human body is indeed ready and willing, and is "listening" to the boss (us). For decades we’ve ignored this entire process, just hoping that by using chemical-biological research, we could alter body chemistry and physically force reactions within our cells that would help us in many ways. Just take a look at the pharmaceutical business! But also look at the reality. There always seem to be side effects, or a downside to the results of forcing chemistry within the body. Ever read the fine print of the disclaimer of some modern drugs? Sometimes it’s actually humorous: ". . . can lead to diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, dementia, cramps, and possible early death." (Okay, I'm kidding about the early death.) As a reminder, there’s no side effect to homeopathy, kinesiology, or substance intent. The body handles it perfectly and creates a chemical balance that’s totally natural.

Iam beginning to believe that kinesiology, homeopathy, and Kryon’s "substance intent" are all related. They all involve "cellular body knowledge." I believe that we’re on the verge of discovering that the body is very aware, and is ready to balance and heal using a combination of chemistry, intent, meditation, and visualization. I also think that the body is ready to "see" our intent within the food we ingest.

According to medical science, cells even have a process for awareness called "apoptosis".

This is where cells provide an internal self-diagnosis to see if they’re healthy, and if not, they actually self-destruct. It doesn’t work very well, however. Simple cancers and viruses easily trick it. I’ve long believed that this process has been waiting for a missing piece called "intent," or some kind of instruction set to make it 100 percent efficient. Imagine a body that heals and balances itself extremely well with help from the "boss"! Didn’t the gurus do this? Did the biblical characters of old really live to be 100 and beyond, or was this simply a poor translation of scripture? Could it be that they intuitively knew about "talking" to their cells? Maybe it was early divine knowledge that has been lost? Perhaps the gurus who showed us how they could control their heart rates and body temperature were using the same thing?

I always tell people to go slow. Don’t stop taking medication that has been prescribed and go "cold turkey." That’s not wise and isn’t even logical. Instead, why not try reducing the dosage slowly, combined with intent, while holding the substance in your hand. If that doesn’t work, then so be it. Go back to what works. But many are having amazing, positive results with this odd and new concept of "substance intent."

Cholesterol too high? Hypertension, perhaps? Other blood-chemistry imbalances? All of these things can be easily tested for results, so go ahead and try. Start talking to your cells, and give them an idea of what you want to create. Try substance intent, too, if you wish. It’s time to give the body credit for being part of your life. It might even surprise you with its intelligence. In fact, it might turn out to be your best friend!

P.S.: By the way . . . yes, I'm working on convincing the body that 2 or 3 minutes of exercise is the same as 30, but so far, it just laughs at me. So (puff-puff), keep on exercising!

THE OPTIMISTS

Nothing gets a pessimist grumpier than being told to look on the bright side, but…if you’re a pessimist, look on the bright side—it’s good for you!

A recent study carried out by researchers at Concordia University found a plus side to looking on the plus side: optimists’ cortisol levels stay more stable in the face of stressful moments than the cortisol levels of pessimists. “Who cares?” grumble pessimists. Well, cortisol helps with everything from your immune function to blood pressure regulation to insulin release, so keeping it stable is important. Even occasional, small increases in cortisol levels can be good for you—it’s your body’s “fight or flight” response to stress that can help give you a burst of increase immunity, lower your sensitivity to pain, and give you a quick burst of energy for survival (hence its “fight or flight” connection).

But when it’s too high for too long a time, like it was found to be in glass-half-empty types, you’ll get the crappy effects of cortisol: increased abdominal fat, impaired cognitive performance, higher blood pressure, lowered immunity, and decreased bone tissue and muscle mass. Basically making optimists as a whole slimmer, smarter, fitter, and less likely to get sick than pessimists. Factor in how many times those “stressful moments” the researchers looked at pop up through the average week (everything from getting stuck in traffic to a meeting at work to going to the mall on the busy day can spike cortisol) and it’s easy to see how important it is to keep the glass half-full.

The study, published in the journal Health Psychology, was small—135 people were asked about their daily stress and had their cortisol checked five times a day for 12 days over a six-year period. But the results do back up a lot of studies over previous years linking psychological well-being (including optimism) with physical health. One 2012 scientific review linked it with fewer heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular issues. A 2010 study found that when optimism drops, so does your immune response. And a study of over 200 centenarians found that most were optimists.

So are you just doomed if you’re a natural-born pessimist? You’d like to think so, wouldn’t you, pessimists? Actually, looking on the bright side is easier than you may think. Research has shown pessimists can become optimists through things like meditation, surrounding yourself with positive people, and even just smiling more (it releases serotonin, the happy hormone).

Are you an optimist or pessimist? What do you do in order to keep looking on the bright side?

MAJ GEN SMEDLEAY BUTLER

This may draw some flak.

Marine Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler would be 132 years old today, were he still alive.

He was twice awarded the Medal of Honor, for his heroism during several combat tours in Central America. He took part in World War I, the Banana Wars, and the Boxer rebellion in China.

Consequently he became quite the anti-war activist in his older age. He even put a stop to a real-life potential military coup against F.D.R.

If Butler were around today, engagements like Iraq would have him simply astounded.

Not only is it the most violent since the middle of the American invasion, but it's also grown to become the second-leading nation for oil production in OPEC (first would be Saudi Arabia).

The irony would not be lost on Butler, who toured the U.S. in 1933 giving a speech he called "War is a racket."

Eventually he turned the speech into a book.

Here's an excerpt:

War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses.

I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag.

I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

There isn't a trick in the racketeering bag that the military gang is blind to. It has its "finger men" to point out enemies, its "muscle men" to destroy enemies, its "brain men" to plan war preparations, and a "Big Boss" Super-Nationalistic-Capitalism.

It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service.

I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.
