Donald Trump said on Thursday he accepted Kim Jong Un's word he didn't know ANYTHING about the maltreatment that caused the death of US student Otto Warmbier.

Warmbier was arrested in North Korea, imprisoned, and returned to the US in a vegetative state. He died soon after. Warmbier's parents sued the North Korea government. A federal judge ruled in Warmbier's parents' favor and ordered Pyongyang to pay them $501 million in damages.

Warmbier's parents will never see a penny from Pyongan or Kim Jong Un .. the man who Donald Trump "fell in love with".

The art of the dog-whistle

After Trump Security Advisor Michael Flynn gets convicted of felony lying to the F.B.I. about conversations with the Russian ambassador he agreed to cut a deal to cooperate with Robert Mueller. When asked specifically about a Presidential Pardon for Flynn Trump dog-whistles to Flynn through the media "lets see what happens"

After convicted felon Paul Manafort is found guilty of five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to report his foreign accounts, and two counts of bank fraud Trump says "it's sad", Manafort is a "good man. Trump dog- whistles a Presidential Pardon "is not off the table".

Another interesting Trump dog-whistle is to Vladimir Putin. It was delivered through the media via team Trump. Putin may or may not have already known it, but he knows it now .. Trump wants to give him a 50 million dollar penthouse apartment that's expected to rapidly appreciate to 200 million.

Then how cool was it when Roger Stone dog-whistled (Richard Nixon style) to Trump "I am not a crook"

I never thought I would see a Presidential Candidate mock a Gold Star Mother .. then go on to be elected.

Another first happened tonight. Before Donald Trump began his border wall speech from the White House, television networks made a promise to their viewers … they promised the President of the United States of America would not be permitted to lie on air and get away with it …

Trump shut down the government over a relatively small amount of money ... 5 billion dollars. And Dems are offering him "crumbs" … 1.3 billion. Crumbs lol, get it? Chump change ... the farm bill was 800-900 billion.

So, it's not about money ... it's about symbolism.

Building a border wall with taxpayer dollars helps to legitimize Trump's BIG LIE that Mexico will pay for it. And the BIG LIE that extorting money from Mexico is what a Christian Nation would do. The wall symbolizes what Trump stands for .. lies, hate, stupidity, bigotry, racism, "shithole nations" etc. We're not gonna have it.

This is part of a very long article that can be found at washingtonpost/arcive, and written by ..

ALLAN SLOAN January 29, 1991

Forget the bad news -- I've found the magic cure for our problems. All we have to do is follow the path blazed by that financial genius, Donald Trump, and his father, Fred.

Donald, of course, is the one-time real estate-airline-casino mogul who has choked on the $3.5 billion or so he owes on his properties. Father Fred, who founded the family fortune, has more restraint than Donald -- and more ready cash.

And even at the age of 85, Fred is clearly much smarter than the people who run some of the nation's biggest banks: He knows better than to lend money to his son.

Fred gave Donald the equivalent of an interest-free loan by buying $3.5 million of chips from the Trump Castle casino-hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. According to an article in the Atlantic City Press, a lawyer representing Fred Trump showed up at the Castle on Dec. 17, deposited a $3.35 million certified check, bought 670 $5,000 chips at a high-stakes blackjack table, stuck the chips in a bag and left. The next day, Fred wired $150,000 to the casino and bought another 30 chips. Pretty slick.

Because Donald knew that his father wouldn't cash in the chips right away, he could use the extra $3.5 million in the till to help make the $18.4 million interest payment due on the bonds. Had he lent Donald $3.5 million, Fred would have had to get in line behind Donald's numerous creditors, and he probably never would see a penny of his money again. This way, Donald got the money he needed, and Fred got chips that he could cash in any time the casino had money on hand to redeem them. He may have cashed in some or all of them by now. Casino regulators are yelling and screaming, but they will probably do nothing but make noise.

You can't make this stuff up ..

I've never seen anything like it. Immediately following the midterm elections Trump began begging the United States Government not to investigate him. Of course Trump attached a little threat to it as well ... saying if you investigate me I won't work with you. Then Trump takes it up a notch and says, if you investigate me I'll investigate you back! And I'll investigate you to the point where the Government grinds to a halt … and I can do this because I own the Senate ... paraphrasing of course.

Healthcare

Republicans talked nonstop about Healthcare for the last 10 years. In fact the centerpiece of the Republican Party for the last 10 years is denying and repealing Government funded Healthcare.

So Pubs, where the hell are you now! Midterm elections are here and your candidates have nothing to say about Healthcare beyond blubbering the term preexisting condition repeatedly.

Instead of talking about his wonderful economy and how it can benefit the HEALTH of the Nation Trump focuses on a caravan of immigrants who may or may not get here in a couple months and have no weapons … and why we need to hate and fear them.

The elephant in the room … Trump robbed bank and Healthcare doesn't fit in the equation. Spending cuts and tariffs are the plan for financing the trillions of dollars in tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.

Your cost of living goes up. Trump's cost of living goes down.

Merrick Garland vs the Swamp

Anyone remember what disqualified Merrick Garland? He was nominated by President Obama as Supreme Court Justice back in Mid-March of 2016? Obama still had around 10 months left to serve as President. Republicans could have investigated all they wanted ...they controlled the swamp.

So to all the 'hair on fire' Republicans here's a thought ... 10 months.. that's 2 months short of a year. Kavanaugh's appointment vote is delayed one week. What's all the fuss?

Today I saw a coward … simple as that.

Brett Kavanaugh was given countless opportunities to man up … to call on the President of the United States of America to provide an FBI investigation into Christine Blasey Ford's accusations against him … to help clear his good name

Kavanaugh said no.

Trade wars are easy to win

Trump says "trade wars are easy to win" Sure they are.

How many trade wars has Trump won? None? Are there experts in the field of international trade that agree with Trump? Is there evidence that a Nation who imports nearly everything we buy ought to start trade wars?

Harley Davidson got a big tax break, and just announced they're going to expand manufacturing overseas to beat the Trump tariffs. Others will follow. Ironic since Trump likes to mouth off about regulations.

But lets get right to it …. Trump needs tariffs to help finance his money grab. Result is our cost of living goes up.

Trump gave away trillions in tax relief to the wealthiest Americans including himself, and got nothing in the DEAL about jobs in the USA … jobs that tariffs could help protect.
