Please Don't Hug Me...unless...(repost)

To my dear and friendly chatters, please don't hug me.

To hug a person, one must enter another's personal space. To enter one's personal space, you should have the grant of their permission. Permission is not something to be assumed. If you now think you might ask, you probably shouldn't.

I welcome the occassional hug from those with whom I may have shared some closeness, and in particular where there is a circumstance that agreeably might warrant sharing affection. However, 'those who don't know me from Adam,' please respect my personal space.

That having been said, I will consider unwelcomed penetration of my personal space via hugs from another as open invitation for further space penetrations. As you may chose to apply hugs to my being, I reserve the right to respond in a manner I chose.
