Somehow, my musing on the misuse of language has gone away. Here is a reprint:
We've "advanced" so far that basic communications are used by some to camouflage what they say. It's mostly a lawyer thing and has been refined by politicians to provide "plausible deniability".
Some, like Bill Clinton, lie (as he says of himself) "because he can".
There are other manifestations. If someone seems to be a pathological liar and claims it's "sarcasm", my red flags go up.
It's just not as clever and attractive as some think.

A humble suggestion: go find one of our dwindling number of WWII Veterans tomorrow. Talk to him/her. See if you can catch a glimmer of what made them the Greatest Generation.

$2.5 Billion sure doesn't go as far as it used to.

No...really. The word came up this week when barry claimed he has led the USA back to being the most respected Nation on the Planet.
Did anyone ask ISIS? Putin? The Chinese (who apparently have hacked information from the US Gruberment to the tune of 4 million identities).
But I just remembered: barry doesn't know how to spell the word. Even at an event honoring Aretha Franklin.

I hear a lot about Rentier's "brilliant sarcasm". I watch him pander to the less-gifted in chat.
He would do well as a candidate for low-information voters, but pal, you're not really as clever you seem to think you are.
