Dinner and a show

Tonight dinner was in Saint Ignace MI in a restaraunt overlooking Lake Huron, where we watched fighter jets performing patrols. My thoughts is the show is not yet over.
Whatever is going on, there is more than meets the press.
I am feeling like Paul Harvey here and wanting to know, "The rest of the story"

We have some pretty vague news circulating of multiple sightings and the shooting down of unauthorized aircraft over US and Canadian soil.....anyone hear anything?

Cabbage Power!!!!!

It is apparently soup day. I have made what I am calling Egg Roll Soup, but really it is just a cabbage soup with soy sauce and ginger....lol. This reminded me though of a song recorded by some long lost friends called Cabbage Power, it went with a story of the healing powers of cabbage soup.
The chorus went like this...
Soup of cabbage, cabbage power! Getting stronger by the hour!
Truth be known, the witch in the story was not far off, cabbage has a lot of healing powers and it is low calorie and full of fiber and vitamin C.
Turns out a cabbage a day might just keep the doctor away!

so I am up earlier than normal after a night at work making a Lumberjack Breakfast for my . She turns 15 today. My house is smelling amazing of cinnamon swirl waffles. Along with scrambled eggs and hash browns and a frozen cocoa on the side.
I have fresh coffee brewing.
The house does not usually smell this good, normally we grab a yogurt or fruit and go.
In just three more years , she will be gone, off to living life on her own.
