Ben and I have been taking private dance lessons for about 9 - 10 months. We even have "real" dance shoes. My dad has seen me prance around, attempting to dance and since he says I'm no Ginger Rogers, he calls me Nutmeg! LOL Tonight, Nutmeg will have a chance to show off her dancing skills (and of course Ben also). We are attending the black tie dinner/dance held each year for doctors and their SOs, hosted by one of the local hospitals. I've narrowed it down to having to choose between two entirely different types of dresses but can not decide on what jewelry to wear. My hair style will depend on the weather. If it is humid and rains, my hair will make it's own decision and I'll either have the "Bride of Frankenstein" look or I'll resemble Annie!! LOL I sure wish I could lose 20 pounds before 6 pm. Enough about me...what ya doing tonight?

Time for Grandma to brag!!! My granddaughter, Denise, along with the 's' choral group she belongs to, will be singing the National Anthem at the Toledo Mud Hens' game this Sunday at 1:30 pm. That'll be me clapping and cheering the loudest (and scaring off Ben). LOL

This Queen is going to England. Yes, it's true! Ben and I are flying to Heathrow Airport on June 21 to take a cruise from Harwich, England to Paris and Cherbourg, France, Cork and Dublin, Ireland, Glasgow, Scotland, Geiranger, Flam, Alesund and Bergen, Norway then back to Harwich on July 4. We will be spending the night near Heathrow Airport then flying back to Detroit on July 5. I am deathly afraid of water, get motion sickness just riding in an elevator and suffer from claustrophobia so I should be a fun person to be with! LOL I've never been on a cruise so for any of y'all that have been, would you please pass along any tips, ideas or thoughts on taking a cruise? Should I pack formal items and/or just casual clothing? Are there facilities/laundry mats or any type of service on the ship to wash clothing? Questions, questions! I need answers, answers -- I need help! LOL And yes, there are good guys at SFF. As promised, I'm updating the information about my friend, Bruce12 aka Uncle...his real name is Hari. After a biopsy, two hospital stays and infections, Hari received the test result and learned he has prostate cancer. Hari and Ben are MDs and at times they speak medical lingo that goes way over my head. But this is what I understand will be happening in the near future: Uncle is not a candidate for surgery. He will be obtaining a second and third opinion (in Chicago and the Detroit area) soon. His best option is radiation treatment. His prognosis is good! He's home in Vegas right now so please direct some positive energy and thoughts that direction! My Friend Is In The Hospital Bruce12 Update

LOL This blog is about exactly what the title says. It's already been determined that Belle is a Snirkle (her word not mine and yes, Snirkle is a real candy created in 1920). I've decided to be Red licorice. LOL Anyway, I picked Red licorice because 1) Duh! RedRidingHood10 and 2) I love Red licorice. (Why do I keep capitalizing the "R" in Red??) LOL 3) I want to be slender! Okay...if you're interested in inane. Comment on the blog with your candy of choice. If you're really interest in inane, add the reason why you like your candy of choice.
