Either my computer hates me or my roommate finds it amusing to sabotage it. (Note to self, never leave home without my computer). After wiping out everything on my computer and starting over, here I am! I promise to answer all messages ASAP.

Smile and enjoy life.

For all that have asked, yes, thanks to a dear friend from this site, I was able to attend the Obama rally in Beloit, WI this past Monday evening. My little dream of being in the same room with Barack Obama came true. But...it gets better. I was asked to stand on the platform behind Barack! After he spoke I was one of the lucky ones who shook his hand. Dreams do come true!

Smile and enjoy your day!

No, I did not run off with the big, bad wolf. Nor did I fall of the edge of the earth! My computer has been (and continues to be) non-functioning.

Thanks to those that have sent messages. Unfortunately, it will be a while before I can respond/answer. Until then, enjoy life - smile!

For those that have asked, yes, I am back in Wisconsin. This Badger fan was not too popular last Saturday when she was cheering for the Badgers to beat Michigan (which they did). It was time to get out of Dodge so to speak. Besides, my stay in Michigan was much longer than anticipated, enjoyable, stressful at times and I'm happy to be back in Dairyland. Grandchildren are fun but they sure can run circles around this Grandma. Spoil them and then give them back works perfectly for me! Now I need a vacation from the vacation. Preferably somewhere I can work on my tan - escape the cold weather. If you know the perfect, warm vacation spot, please let me know.

Have a great day - smile - enjoy.

I's that time of year - cold and flu season. Toss in visiting with ones' grandchildren and one risks catching whatever is "going around" at the 's school(s). Lucky me! I am the winner! I caught the bug!

Thanks to all that have written and/or checked on me to see how I'm doing. Today I am feeling better but it will take some time for me to answer your messages. If you don't hear from me in a few days, please drop me a line - remind me that I owe you a response to your message.

Have a great day and stay away from the cold and flu bug.

Today at 12:05 p.m. EDT the Federal Court Judge sentenced the criminal to 10 years in Federal prison. Finally, some closure on this matter.

Thanks to those who have shared encouraging words via this forum and/or messages. I appreciate and needed it. It has been a long seven years waiting for justice.

Now, on to spoiling my grandchildren while I am in the Detroit area!!

Enjoy - smile - be happy!

By popular request I am updating this blog.

Yes, I arrived safely in the Detroit area on September 19th in the wee hours of the morning. Caught a few hours sleep and arrived early at Court for the sentencing of the mortgage scammer/criminal. I have to admit that it gave me great pleasure to see him led into and out of the Courtroom in prison garb with his hands cuffed behind his back.

After using every trick in the book, the defense attorney succeeded in dragging out the hearing until the Judge announced that the hearing would continue at a later date. October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. was agreed upon. Yes, I will be making yet another trip to Detroit. This time I am flying. I can't stand the traffic in and around the Chicago area. Also, this trip is going to be a much longer stay. I will be in MI for 3 - 4 weeks. Lots of time to kiss, hug and spoil my grandchildren. (Yes, I do have grandchildren - 10 of them).

It does appear from the limited testimony on the 19th that the criminal will get at least 10 years in prison. It is my understanding that after he serves his time he will be deported. Good riddance.

If any of y'all are going to be in the Detroit area during the month of October drop me a line, look me up or whatever. Let's get together!

Enjoy life - smile - be happy.

On The Road Again

Almost everything is moved into my new digs - finally. Once I have completed this move I am hitting the road (again) for the Detroit area. Why you ask? Many reasons. 1st, but not the most important, is that several years ago I was the victim of a crime (white collar crime). The offender/criminal was tried, found guilty and is to be sentenced. I fully intend to be there, listen to what the Judge has to say, cheer when the criminal is sentenced and get some closure on this matter. The most important reason for my trip to Michigan is to visit with my dad - check on him. Of course the bonus reason is that I will be able to see my 4 daughters and 10 grandchildren. So, I am not really ignoring you - just busy, busy, busy.

Enjoy life - watch out for those white collar criminals. I should have.
