Surprise Surprise Lubby.......

Yes that's just what I did today. I knocked on Lubby's door and said 'hello Lubby'.
Bless her heart she looked so surprised, but what a welcome she gave us. This tiny lovely lady invited us in and made us very welcome indeed.
So in we trotted, the ex, my dog and little me.
There was Mr Lubby, a lovely man, made Jim a cuppa and Lubby made me a much welcomed cold drink, yummmmmyyy.
We had a good old natter and we met her lovely daughter and not forgetting Cloe their dog.
So thank you very much Lubby for making 3 strangers so welcome. It was very brave of you.

this Thursday. Thank goodness for that. I now have my date through for my operation. 14th March, seems a long time since I was first diagnosed. Hopefully when kidney is removbed I will have a bit room inside for my other bits and bobs to float more freely. And a flatter tummy. How is your treatment going Lubby? I hope things are going ok for you.

I went to the Blue Cross Animal Sanctury this morning and reserved a dog. Her name is Trudy, she is a tan and white collie. Nice Nature but a bit nervous when out walking. She is an older but really caught my eye. I'm going for another visit tomorrow and to book a Home Visit. If all goes well I should be able to bring her her in a couple of weeks. Trudy is very different to Sally. I hope I can make her last few years as happy as Sall and I had when we were together. Now I must go and salvage my roast beef. Bye for now. Leah..................

I had a phone call from my ex early Last Monday morning. He said that Sally had collapsed and to get there as asap. Unfortunately she died before I arrived. It was such a shock as she hadn't been ill. I'm still shell shocked. Not only was she my pet, she was also my friend, confidant and protector. I feel so lost without her. Thank you for listening. I went to collect my new car today. I was excited about it but when the time came to say goodbye to my old car (Bubbles) I got quite upset. Bubbles has been a great little car and has served me and Sally very well. I've enjoyed driving her very much. I gave her a hug and kiss before getting into my new car, (Connie) and drove away with tears coming down my face. I was told not to name my cars but I always have. I look forward to driving Connie the convertable and hope Bubbles goes to a nice new owner., Leah..................

On Thursday, April 23rd 2008 I went to Weight Watchers. I decided to buy a box of their chocolate and toffee bars, five bars in each box. Sally, my dog, is a very nosey girl, watches everything one does concerning food. So I decided to play safe and put her out while I hid my bars. In she came, settled down and had a snooze. Later that day I decided to come on line, so leaving Sally watching the telly and snoozing I logged on. All of a sudden I heard her coughing. Went to see what was wrong and the bad bad girl had only found my bars. Opened the box and ate all five of them. Four hours later she started being sick and doing the other end too. I got her outside and up she coughed the damn wrappers. Each time she was sick up came another wrapper. 'Serves you right' I said, 'judgement on a naughty dog'. How the heck she found the choc bars I'll never know. Next time I'm going to put them in the fridge. If she opens that door, well what can I say... but clever girl ......: Leah...............
