My financial advisor enjoyed my pistachio ice cream dessert. She said "You are very well off." I've gone from living out of the back of my old Mustang to owning considerable properties and living in the big old house.

************ ADDENDUM ************
I didn't realize my casserole would raise any interest. I did take a picture before we ate it.
I snipped some shaved ham, red bell pepper, frozen asparagus, eggs, milk, flour, mozzi and pepper/jack cheese in a bowl. I poured it over some basic cooked noodles in my baking dish then topped with more cheese. I baked it and put on hold till JD came in

All you need is cabbage, small onion, lemon juice, sugar, black pepper, and Lawry's Seasoned Salt. You may also add carrots, peppers, and celery.
If you are lucky enough to have one of these Danish hand choppers for your veggies then a quick batch is just a few "chop" away.
Add your spices, sugar and lemon juice to your tastes. A little olive oil gives the veggies a special flavor and sheen.

Ruby woke me up in the night needing to go outside. The pain set in so I decided to watch a movie.
JD buys big lots of DVDs on EEbay. A box arrived a few days ago with a wide assortment. I spotted a movie I'd not seen and flipped it in.
ALL THE KING'S MEN
An all star cast. Sean Penn, Anthony Hopkins, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and many more top names. Based on the Robert Penn Warren novel. The life of populist Southerner Willie Stark, a political creature loosely based on Governor Huey Long of Louisiana. When the movie ended I just sat in awe at the astounding performance I'd just seen.
Writing movie reviews is not my forte nor shall I twist your arm to view it, however, this 2006 movie honestly glued me to my chair. Buy it, rent it, if you've not already seen it. Take some time out to enjoy the powerful performances of these great stars.

My Legal team; Dewey, Cheatham, & Howe urged me to post this disclaimer for those on a diet not to proceed any further.
This is from a experiment with my Countertop Ice Cream maker
Pistachio Nut Ice Cream
You will need an egg, about a liter of half & half, 1/4 cup sugar, *1 package of instant Pistachio Pudding, and just a touch of Vanilla 1/4 teaspoon +/-.. An Item I failed to picture here was about a "palm" of pistachio nuts that I shelled between eating them probably about 1/8 C. I put the nuts in the bottom of the blender and pulsed it a couple times. I then added the egg, vanilla, sugar and package of Pistachio Pudding. Again I just pulsed the blender. I added a little 1/3 cup +/- of half & half then ran the blender about 5-7 seconds mixing the ingredients. I poured this into my ice cream maker and turned it on. I then proceeded to rinse my blender with more half & half pulsing it well to clean the sides then pouring into the ice cream maker. I did this twice before the blender seemed "rinsed " and the ice cream maker was filled to the proper level.
As the freezing drum turns you may see a few pieces of pistachio chips floating to the top. They will be mixed in later.
IT'S ICE CREAM !
I transferred the ice cream to a pre-chilled mold then down to the deepfreezer.
This little treat is for my financial planner who over the years has made me fairly well off. We have a meeting here at the home Monday afternoon.

My Packratting has paid off !
Remember I found the hub cap yesterday?
JD said to make it into a wall clock for out in the Beemer Pad! I found a clock mechanism online with large sweeping hands that I can adjust to fitting the center of the hub cap.

The warm weather coupled with the rain created some flooding on the Upper Iowa River.
An uprooted tree washed up against the bridge.
The river is still bank full, however, the worst seems to have abated.
