Took me awhile to find "dowsing" mostly because I had no idea the spelling.... dah ! This guy has pricey copper handled so he just holds them.

Dowsing is a type of divination employed in attempts to locate ground water, buried metals or ores, gemstones, oil, gravesites, malign "earth vibrations" and many other objects and materials without the use of a scientific apparatus.

IF your battery still has a charge to the light it still may work. I'd suggest the coat hangers. I have copper... Let no one else touch them, clear your mind except for the object, and if stressed try another time. Our 6" water well provides all the water a cattle ranch needs thanks to dowsing. Your thumb needs to be gently placed at the top of the bend in the wire.

My heart fluttered when I walked back from the mailbox into the house. I'd won a bid on EEEbay that would make JD's eyes roll if he knew what I paid.

I knew I wanted to view this coin frequently so............... It's time for the Martha Stewart touch! I found a frame then a small marbled grey paper.

Here it is; I deeply regret no matter how I tried I was unable to get a decent photo to turn out to post in here. However, you can make out the heraldic eagle on the back.

This is the coin from the net. Mine the silver is more toned.

There are *two variations of the dies used to stamp the coins. Mine is the pointed "6"

Also what caused my intense interest; The olive branch does not go through the eagle's talon.

How to Take Advantage of Mmmm

I've just worked my tailfeathers OFF today, however, I did take time out for a special drink my long time friend; Mmmm, who would be delighted to have one ( OR More ) presented to her.

Mmmm is a classy lady; that is why I selected a heavily leaded Polish cut glass tall tumbler for her drink. An excellent imported French Brandy, quality nutmeg, and New York Vanilla Ice Cream are then prepared for her.

Place several well rounded scoops of Ice Cream into the tumble with a healthy jigger of brandy.

Top off her BRANDY ALEXANDER with a generous dash of nutmeg. Allow Mmmm to enjoy stirring her beverage with a stylish tall drink spoon. Now that is how you get to a classy Lady's heart!

Yesterday I made my rounds through the Antique, Thrift, and Junque stores. I didn't see anything I wanted or needed until there for just fifty cents was a tall candlestick for JD's baby grand piano in the parlor. After my singular find I proceeded on to the grocery store.

We went to see CATS last night in Des Moines. That's why I was a NO SHOW in blogs & chat. If you haven't seen "CATS: The Musical," it truly is a feline curiosity and classic worth the price of a ticket. If you're a longtime fan of the show, it's worth attending for your own "memory."

CATS is a sung-through musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based upon the 1939 poetry collection Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended to your musical experience.

By this point in our lives we have amassed enough clutter, junk, and not really necessary items, however, I want to know if any of you own or know someone with this ice cream maker. I have all the appliances I require for daily cooking; Nuker, Foreman, pancake griddle, and mixer. Prior to me ordering this I'd like your input.

This is a Cuisinart -46PC 1.5 Quart Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker. JD and I both love ice cream a bit too well but I have some ice cream recipes I can't get in the stores or from the Schwann's man.

Product Description

Now you can make your favorite frozen yogurt at home in just 20 minutes or less! The fully automatic Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker lets you turn ingredients into a delicious and healthy frozen treat with no fuss and no mess. Simply add your ingredients to the bowl, press ON, and the machine does the rest!

This afternoon we were saddened by the news of the passing of our rug merchant friend in Egypt.

His family had made our stay in Egypt so delightful. His translated for me and helped the poor ditzy blond through the bustling city.

Took us out and about the pyramids.

Making certain we had a great time and were not taken advantage of as "Rich American Tourists" We were invited into his home to share meals and fun times.

Their family made my Birthday on the Nile a lifetime memorable event. YES That is what Egyptian Birthday cakes look like! Their dad bought it for me and had us in their home.

Our beautiful Parlor rug came from them.... The massive 12' X 16' has graced our Parlor ever since. It was shipped all the way from Cairo to our home causing a stir by it's immense beauty.
