Some of you might remember this photo from a few days ago.

I think this is about where I took the picture a few days ago with the fence post barely above the snow. What a change a few warm days can make ~~~ a Metamorphosis! ~~~

FINALLY ! I'd promised this recipe to my chat friends. Our Farm & Fleet carries several bulk varieties of Trail Mix. This bag contains dried cherries, raisins, dates, walnuts, and sunflower seeds.

I dumped a heaping cup of the trail mix into the blender with an egg and some of the 1 1/2 cups of milk. After chopping up in the blender I rinsed out the blender with the remaining milk.

I forgot to include in the picture 1/3 cup of veggie oil. ooopppss! 1 teaspoon vanilla too.

In my mixing bowl I had 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1tablespoon of baking powder stirred together. The wet mix just worked through thoroughly.

I poured the batter into a greased 9 X9 baking dish.

I baked the bread mix at 350 F for about a half hour till golden brown and knife came out clean.

You may see the close resemblance to Banana Bread. JD put butter on his piece and that is how I also tried and ate my pieces. MUTTs Inc also give it a *Two Paws UP*

Yesterday......... when I went to the bank and shopping I made a discovery while passing by some vending machines.

Remember my blog about Sonny and Cocoa Puffs ?

THERE in the MUNCHIEZ Machine was Cocoa Puffs Pop Corn ! I had to give it a try !!!

ICK !

My advice is NOT to buy it... I ate a few and tossed the rest for the birds outside.

Col. Neel Kearby

During both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf wars Pilots who scored "Kills" of enemy aircraft were allowed to mark their aircraft with a score card. This indicated the pilot's skill and cunning ability over their adversary.

MY QUERY IS...

After shooting down the Chinese Spy Balloon last Saturday will the F-22 pilot paint a balloon on the side of his Fighter?

Just one of THOSE Days........... My man Martin and I painted a hallway at one of my units. I cut in the edge and move drop clothes while Martin manned the roller. Think we got it done in record time! I stopped by KFC for our dinner tonight... (NO SLAVING OVER A HOT STOVE ! ) MUTTs Inc met me at the door when I got home as if I'd been gone for MONTHS.. ( then they noticed the scent of KFC ) !

Stuffed with KFC I thought I'd better get caught up on the computer. On my page popped up an *1808* recipe for Baked onions.... hmmm not everyone likes onions , however, both of us do. I watched the video then looked at several others on the topic. I hate to admit after all my cooking and recipe posting it NEVER dawned on me to bake onions like I do potatoes and squash. At any rate here's the suggestion;

How to roast onions.
Directions

Adjust the oven rack to a lower position; preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Roast in the preheated oven until onions are tender ... 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and adjust seasonings as necessary. I thought we can toss them in the oven with baked potatoes and a meatloaf with that oowie goowie red sauce topping.

Another method was to peal the onion, wrap in tinfoil, top with a pat of butter, and your choice of seasonings.
