*~* Lunar Eclipse *~* On Tuesday this week the rare event occurred of a lunar eclipse/Blood Moon. Since ancient times people have ascribed mystical powers to the lunar eclipse. The Blood Moon was not visible everywhere on this planet. The people in America, Australia and Asia had the best chances to watch this event. A friend sent me some interesting pictures of the Blood Moon. One was taken in Greece when the red moon appeared above the Acropolis in Athens (Greece) and another one of the lunar eclipse blood moon set behind the US Capitol Dome in Washington D.C. Yes....We were so looking forward to it, but, alas, the clouds moved in......The almost full moon was so bright and big.....It always wakes me up...It won't let me sleep, so I get up, throw a blanket over my shoulders and go outside.....Once I have admired her great beauty sufficiently, I go back to my cozy bed and la Lune allows me to go back to sleep. . Thank you for posting these gorgeous images......

MySeek these are lovely photos of the moon. It was cloudy here so I didn't see the moon at all. Thanks for sharing.

By me I barely see the moon, most of the leaves fell here already. Now there is hope of seeing something. SO many trees here
