*~* Words, Not Gone With The Wind...*~*

Charlie Chaplin lived 88 years (1889 - 1977)

Relevance of Charlie Chaplin in the 21st Century:

"The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.
Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate,
has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed
speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance
has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness,
hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery,
we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.
Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost."

I don't know, why one image appears two times?

Kindness and gentleness, sure who could speak against that...

And I wonder what Charlie Chaplin would say about the world today ............ there's a guy out there making the claim that the United States of America belongs to him .. and I'm pretty sure that kindness and gentleness isn't the way we're going to go.

You have a good chance to contemplate the values of the ideology you are standing for and why quite a few humans don't share the transformation.

What has changed so much that people have become violent?

I could write a list of reasons, but why bother? I know you would probably agree with me about most things, but others would argue and tell me I'm wrong.

Makes me wish for the days before technology came into our life and psychos took over the world.

Psychos, who pretend to be Philanthropists are the danger these days.

Nobody is perfect..... He grew up in poverty and was sent to a workhouse twice before age 9. His father was absent, and his mother was admitted to a mental asylum when he was 14. What do we know about the struggles he had, he could have become one of the many street children with no future. Those days it was not extraordinary when older men married very young girls. The parents of girls were glad that the financial situation was solid. The millions Chaplin made as an actor and producer later in life, he actually earned. I see no reason to put him down!

I'm not putting him down, just saying that this quote is pretty hypocritical......

I don't see it your way.... Life teaches us many lessons, we make decisions at one time for some reason, that might turn out wrong.
I don't judge anybody I only know from hearsay.
