*~*~* From the kitchen table *~*~*

When I came on this site today, I thought I had pushed the wrong button. I left and did some routine work in the house, talked on the phone with my and friends overseas..... The weather could not decide between rain and sunshine, it was all mixed. And I felt I should go out and give myself a treat of some kind, went to our Indian restaurant that had opened a few weeks ago and ordered a meal to take home. I had tried their food once before, doordash delivery. And it was delicious.

Here I am sitting at the kitchen table having dinner....... spinach with lamb, basmati rice and yogurt! And when I look out from here, I see the various shades of green of the tall trees and bushes and the flowers on the deck.

Really nice blog........Here it rained all day, which is a big relief after the unusually hot weather we've had and a forest fire on a neighbouring island ........I tried to get in touch with a friend who is vacationing here and is returning home in the morning......I couldn't get ahold of her....I cleaned and rearranged my bathroom drawers......I was shocked at the amount of my hair I found...........I had a chat with a friend and her 8 year old son who came by for a short visit to bring me some wild herbs they had picked for me.......I found a lovely bright green tree-frog clinging to the siding of my house on the deck.......I went for a long walk in the rain and got soaked and came home and changed my clothes and felt chilly for the first time in months.........That's my uneventful day so far.

Your dinner looks tasty.....I love good Indian food.....I had a good friend who was Indian when I was growing up......well, several, but one of them had a mother who was an excellent cook and taught me how........Bad Indian food is terrible though.....There are no good Indian restaurants where I live, sadly and I can't really get interested to go to all that trouble just for myself........You have inspired me though with this blog........

Good meal with a beautiful view. I would enjoy having my meal too!

This morning we went for breakfast in Panera, then went to the mall and walked The only place that it was not hot.

Then this afternoon I spent time doing some laundry and cleaning windows.

After another sleepless night, our day has gone fairly well. The eldest daughter, who lives about 5 miles away, brought us a nice bunch of tomatoes when she came to mow the lawn. We had a nice, short visit when she finished and then we just lazed around the rest of the day.
You have a lovely view out of your window.

Tasty food and a beautiful view what a lovely and relaxing way to spend Sunday.

I cooked Sunday dinner, did a bit of housework and pottering around. Sent a few messages to family and friends. Watched a bit of TV and read my book. I had a few glasses of wine in the evening, while I chatted to my son in Sweden.

Colourful view looking out from your kitchen table myseek. Your Indian take-away looks interesting - I've never tried the lamb/spinach combination. I too really like Indian food and occasionally order a take-away (my last order was pork vindaloo, yum). Is that a delicious lassi in the glass?

As I see it, sparkle, you highlighted your day with little events. I was tempted also to go out and let the rain fall down on me, let the water run down on my face and wash away some troubled thoughts...... but dismissed the idea.
This new Indian restaurant was recommended by people on Nextdoor. That's why I had given it a try. Their food resembles the Iranian kitchen.
I wrote this simple blog to interrupt the nonsense I saw on this site on Sunday. Thank you for your nice comment.

I used to love starting a Sunday with breakfast or brunch out. But without company, it is no fun...... I still try to make Sunday a special day at the end of a week.
Sorry, I am back so late to this blog. My excuse, yesterday I was caught up in a variety of dilemmas...... lol

Sleepless nights can really mess up with the following day, MrsJoe. Good to hear that Sunday brought you enjoyable moments and relaxation......

I liked to go to one very good and clean Indian restaurant, when I had an apartment in the city of Wiesbaden, Germany, decades ago. I really enjoyed this Sunday meal!
Will there be a chance to see your son soon? I always wanted to ask you whether you also speak Irish Gaelic beside English.

The picture I took of the view did not come out the way it should have. That dark on the left side should be white, and I don't know why it.s black. Yes, the drink is lassi. I decided for the salty kind. They have a variety of the sweet flavored ones. The Iranians make Doogh: yogurt, herbs, very finely chopped cucumber, water. Very tasty, healthy and refreshing, especially in the summers.
