*~*~*Easter Greetings*~*~* Again I cannot celebrate Easter with my family at my home in Germany. I used to fill little nests or baskets, and they had to find them in the garden. That had become a tradition even when they weren't little anymore, had partners who enjoyed looking for a surprise. LOL This year l would have loved watching my little great-grandson looking under bushes and in flower beds for Easter eggs...... They are all at my home for a week, and I am "an ocean" away! For those who celebrate the true and deeper meaning of Easter, we realize it is not about us, or family, but about the Lord. But being with family on holidays is such a wonderful addition that brings much joy. I'm sorry you could not be with them. Even saying, "there's always next year" doesn't really help, because the young ones grow up so fast, this time can never be regained. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

It was just Alfie and me. We do have Easter decorations in the living room. Of course there is Easter candy and we haven't eaten it all yet..... We went to Ruby Tuesdays for our Easter meal...and every Sunday we go there. My daughter and great granddaughter work there. We had full tummies when we left

Are mocha and passionfruit cakes traditional at Easter in Germany? Beautiful presentation - I would love to try the passionfruit cake (am familiar with mocha cake) :- )

Happy Easter myseek......I spent the day outside in the un with my children and their families......it was really lovely with the plum trees in full flower and many green shoots in the garden....enough for a fresh salad for Supper and then a chocolate egg for desert.

MySeek seeing all your pictures of the different kinds of chocolate and candy reminds me of my travels in Europe. Toblerone had just came out and we couldn't get enough of it. I recall bringing it back with me. I too am spending Easter by myself as unable to get together with family because of Covid. But I enjoyed a nice little walk around my neighborhood and enjoyed the sunshine and all the spring flowers. Happy Easter to you!

Lovely pictures of some really tasty goodies. I love the vase of beautiful coloured tulips too. I know it's hard being apart from loved ones at this time. I haven't seen my son or grandson since 2019. Enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend myseek.

OU ARE JUST AS WELL WHERE YOU ARE, THE SITUATION IN GERMANY IS NO FUN AT ALL. FAMILY REUNIONS ARE LIMITED TO 6 PEOPLE, MAYBE THE KIDS COULD STILL LOOK FOR EGGS BUT IS ABOUT IT. LET'S HOPE NEXT WILL BE BETTER AND WE CAN GET BACK TO A MORE NORMAL LIFE.

The ongoing lockdowns over there cause shortage of many products. The passion fruit cake is very tasty and refreshing, I was told.
