*~*~*Happy 2021Wishes*~*~* ......... with love from me to wherever YOU are! This New Year's Eve was just as weird as 2020 itself, thanks to something they call Covid. Fireworks explode over empty streets in some countries, others cancelled all celebrations. NYE at our house was the same as it was last year: quiet, just the two of us. Last year, we had just suffered the loss of our best friend and two brothers in law and Joe was recovering from the broken leg. Little did we realize the losses we would have throughout the new year. But here we are, another new year ahead of us, and we are still looking up and hoping for the best every day. Joe's recovery from this broken arm is almost complete but it's left him needed a lot more assistance.... hopefully that will improve with time like it did last year. I helped him to bed around 10:30 and settled down to relax and watch some old reruns. At midnight, I awakened him, kissed him Happy New Year and put his CPAP mask on for him..... just like every other night, and then I thought I heard thunder. But it kept happening and then I realized. Some of our country neighbors was shooting off fireworks, like they do every NYE. It seemed to give some semblance of normalcy to the event. Happy New Year, myseek. Hoping for a good one for all of us. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

LAST EVENING WE HAD A LOVELY NEW YEARS CONCERT FROM BERLIN WITH THE CONCIERTO D'ARANJUEZ AND OTHER WORKS. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THERE WAS NO AUDIENCE IN THE HUGE CONCERT HALL. WE HAD TO BE INDOORS BY 8PM WITH NO MORE THAN 6 ADULTS AT TABLE AND THEY HAD TO SPEND THE NIGHT. END OF CURFEW IS 6AM. ALL MY BEST WISHES FOR A GREAT NEW YEAR NONETHELESS.

It seemed to me that at midnight it was a lot noisier than last year. Maybe it was because people had been cooped up and needed an outlet. Horns were blaring, fireworks were going off down at the beach, pots and pans were clanging and people were screaming happy new year. It probably went on for at least 15 minutes and then it was all quiet. It was also raining out so nobody wanted to be hanging about the beach setting fire crackers or whatever they were using. Happy New Year MySeek and hope 2021 will be a good year for you.
