Animals bringing people together.

This is an observation that I had when I took my little to Banfield pet hospital. My friend Blondie here told me about them and how good they were.

Cocoa is her name and she came because she needed a few things checked. I am not familiar with things that dogs do so when I saw her sitting on her rear end and scooting around on the carpeted floor I just thought she was having fun. She also is a very picky eater and I fell for an add online that said they had a food that would really be the best for your so I fell for it and ordered 1 bag for fifty dollars. I failed to check the fine print and when I got the package it was a 16 ounce bag.

Several other things happened but I will get to the reason for the title. I was at the hospital for a while because I was told they were short on staff that day. As I was sitting there waiting I saw a lot of folk bring their dogs in for different things. There were people there from a lot of ethnicities and we were all talking to others in a friendly and cordial way about our dogs. I saw big burly men bring in their poodles and say they were their little babies and I think all of us felt that same way about our dogs. I know I feel that way about mine and I am going to show you a picture of her,

This is COCOA

Cocoa is a cutie! Animals do bring folks together, and are a great ice breaker. I'm smiling here at another thought.... the bashes we attended were great ice breakers too, so was that like bringing animals together? LOL.
When we had to have our beloved little Pom, Pip put to sleep, our cat was so lost that she was constantly underfoot and became a great fall risk for both of us.
She now lives with one of my daughters and is the queen of their house.
Hope you are doing well.

THAT SURE IS A LITTLE CUTIE. IT IS AMAZING THE NUMBER OF INTERESTING PEOPLE YOU CAN MEET WHEN WALKING YOUR DOG. I DON'T HAVE ONE NOW BUT SOMETIMES I REGRET IT.

Awwww a sweet 'baby.' We have 4 babies we call MUTTs Inc. All were rescued thus "saved" from being euthanized. Ruby a Great Pyrenees weighs more than I do but knocked me over with happy kisses on first meeting her. Rosie our Greyhound is a Grand Champion of Minnesota Greyhound Racing who was injured in her 70th race and was to be put down... We stepped in to pay the Vet bills and they gave her to us. Roxy a Rottweiler a victim of just being a Rottweiler.. "Big and SCARY" was to be put down and we took her, Lastly ronnie,, a victim of a hurricane who was lost and never reclaimed.... All these babies.. spoilt rotten with love and affection.

Hello Darter nice to meet you. Wonderful that you have rescued so many and they have a nice place to stay and are loved. Cocoa is a rescue dog also and they were considering putting her down when I adopted her. She was really skittish and was afraid of everything but she is much better now I think she just wanted to be loved.

Owning a new animal sure can be a steep learning curve... and expensive.

My gal pal here buys a special bag of treats from her vet. She has rescue yorkies and apparently they can have digestive issues.
She prepares all of their regular food using organic chicken and veggies.

If I died and was reincarnated, I would want to come back as one of her babies!!

Hello Maudie Thank you and glad you found my post interesting. I try to post about things that I feel folk might be interested in. I do not put that many blogs
up because I am definitely not a writer.

Hello Rocketship my friend so good to hear from you. I hope that you are well. You are so right owning a new dog has been a new adventure for me but I finally got the hang of it and it is better. I am looking for a dog park now to take her too sometime. The vet told me that it would help her not to be so skittish and afraid of Vets and people. Cocoa has digestive issues also I am not at the preparing her food myself yet.

Dogs don't give unconditional love...That's a Human fantasy...It's actually conditional dependence The Human/pet dynamic is a co-dependent relationship..Based on hundreds of thousands of years of interaction and breeding.

A very nice blog Bright, and good to see you. I have 2 dogs that I feel give unconditional love. One belonged to Mr. Goodman and I brought him home to New Mexico along with his 2 cats. The other belongs to my grandson but puppy could not adjust to the noise and confusion of Albuquerque so, back to the ranch he came. Your little one looks so happy and secure !

Hello Sparkleflit,,,,,,I agree with you on that and I know that Cocoa and I have a conditional dependence. Its a good thing that we love each other . She does get a little testy though if I stop her from doing something that she should not be doing.
