Cocoa seems to have "I love you" written on her face while she sees you taking her picture to show friends in a place called Senior Friend Finder.

I think most of us thought the pandemic would only last for a few weeks, little did we know. Good to see that you are coping ok.

Cocoa is a little pet, so cute and lovable looking.

Finding a man at SFF is like finding a needle in a haystack

It great you got the vaccines.. but I would suggest a tetanus shot also. The only thing worse than looking for a needle in a haystack.....is finding an "old" one and getting a "prick"

Finding Romeo....When there is a "plague" on both "Houses".. is a story that has already been told.. and we know how that ends.

What a cute dog... Better than what you can find here..
it's an irony..that at our age shouldn't be avoided
The idea that you're "settling" for dog .. When the difference between someone you could find here.......... is that 'dog" is not "settling" for you.
LOL

Hello Abelle so glad to see that you are doing well. When this plague is over I intend to come down your way. I will let you know when. Hopefully it will be soon.
I agree with you when I took that picture I thought the same thing. She is a real sweetie pie.

Just this morning I noticed an article that Merck has developed a new drug (capsule) that can reduce covid hospitalizations by 50%.

To me Cocoa looks like the protective BOSS of the house that may inflict severe injury and pain on an intruders ankle. LOL
Years ago we had one similar. Very alert and aggressive to some but friendly toward others.

Hi Maudie...So good to see you. yes I am coping but not as well as I would like but it is better than being in the number of those who have died from it. Thanks my little dog is a real sweetie.

Hello Jiminy..............lollol....After I wrote all of that and read it I thought that it sort of made me look as if I am desperate and looking for a man. I started to rewrite it but then I said I would let it stay perhaps someone will get a good laugh out of it.. I agree with all of what you say though and believe it or not I almost paid as I sometimes do so I can read profiles. I changed my mind because it would be a waste of money because most of the older men here are either Trump supporters or Scammers.....well that is just my opinion......lol. I love my little dog. I have not given up on men . I have just given up on finding one here. I stay here to chat and do a blog sometime with the people that I have met here and enjoy chatting with.

You are right about Cocoa.....She is a sweetheart.....very smart and protective of me and can be very aggressive at times. We have not been out much only to the vet and the groomer so I do not know how she will react when around a lot of people.

Well, it really doesn't matter.. we get to breathe in and breathe out.. And sometimes we even get to laugh at ourselves..Some people try to take lemons and make lemonade.. I say suck on that lemon.. It's ALL good.

I sometimes fantasize about getting a dog, but then the fantasy bumps up against reality, and .........Very similar, in fact, to the fantasizing about a relationship with a man.......I think about how nice it would be to have the companionship and the intimacy and affection......then practicality takes over......

I admire your courage to take the plunge and make a commitment.......She's adorable.......

Hello Sparkle...I am so glad to hear from you. I am also happy to know that someone else has the same thoughts as I do sometime. I love my little dog and so glad that I have her . The relationship with a man fantasy I think is caused by my being on lockdown too long. They say that those supermac prisons are the most deadly because the prisoners are denied the presence of another human being and they become mentally ill.

Things are getting better for me in that I am beginning to go out more than just to the grocery store and back home......lol

I am at the age where getting into a relationship with a man is dubious at best. Dogs understand the concept of loyalty. I've considered getting one but since I like to on the train and travel, it would not be fair to the dog. On the other hand, if I get a service dog, it might work. I haven't done any travelling since the pandemic. My younger son acquired a dog when he was on the hiking trail. He wasn't working because he does travel for a livelihood. Now that dog is a service dog and goes on the road with him.

Technical all dogs are service dogs and your dog is adorable. Cuddles and hugs for the furbaby.

Hello Starwomyn........Thanks for stopping by. I am sort of rethinking my ideas about a man in some ways but If a good one comes along and I am interested I might take the bait.........lol. I am starting to get out a bit more and I am grateful for that. I have been whining a bit too much about the plague.

Thanks for the info about service dogs. I was thinking of letting my dog stay in a "Doggie Hotel" When I do travel but I will check to see if she can be a service dog..

Thanks for your compliment to my dog.

It was not that difficult for my younger son to make his dog into a service dog. When my son knew that he would be going back to work, he did not want to leave the dog behind. I suggested to make him into a service dog. There is no national registry for service dogs and legally businesses cannot question it. My son and I are both hearing impaired which qualifies for a service dog. He got a certificate, a doggie vest, and special leash on-line along with a few training classes, a self-trained service dog group on FB - and now the dog goes on the road with him.

My older son also travelled with his family and Bishop goes to the doggie hotel. They even have him on live cam so my son can check on him. The dog seems to have a good time with the other animals. My younger son's dog Fred on the other hand, doesn't seem to like other animals. He had to be taught to ignore them.

Cocoa is adorable. I miss our little dog, but Joe and I are unsteady enough on our feet, so we do not need a pet underfoot. We had also hoped to go to Biloxi, but just the physical strain of the travel on both of us made it an impossible dream.
I still watch the countdown, and hope against hope that we could go.

Hi Bright...loved your blog and I got a good laugh from it. 90% of the men I hear from are all scammers. They are usually deactivated because they aren't abiding by the rules.
I used to have a dog almost 20 years ago now. I still miss him but decided not to get another one. It becomes a problem when you want to go away. I only had him for 10 years and then he developed cancer so I had to have him put to sleep. That was the hardest thing I went through in my life. But you little dog is really cute and you will get many hours of enjoyment with him. Going out for walks you make lots of new friends when you have a dog. Take care and enjoy your dog.
