My hat is off to you Boogie....You are right about my intent for this blog and In my opinion you are correct about some of the responses. I will not try to explain or start a dialogue about this anymore but if anyone is interested look up Jane Elliott on youtube and watch her classes.

Hello Boogie. It seems as though you have raised a kind and loving son. I can see why you are so proud of him as you should be.

I think when my generation and the one next die out you will not see racism in the USA as it is now. The old folk are the one's that have the hate and racism inbred in them.( Not all are this way). The young people now are able to go to school and mix and mingle with people of all races and they find out that people are the same no matter the color of their skin.

I hope that you are right that this blog might be a small light for someone to at least see and question their fears.

You stated, "Black people cannot be racist in the USA."

So it's only everyone other than black people who are racist? Is that what you would have me think you believe? I hear black people every single day screaming at "whitey". Were the shoe on the other foot and white people were spewing such tripe, I would agree that was racist. Having said that, I see more racism in the last ten or so years from black people than I do whites.

I couldn't care less what the color of one's skin is. It is the character of the person that counts.

Rainydayz........Hello you took a part of what I said to fit your narrative.

Hello Jiminycricket......Thank you so much for your responses. I must explain my definition for racism from a dictionary.

When a government or a majority establish laws and rules that deny equal rights to a minority based on the color of their skin........ That is Racism.

Black people cannot be racist in the USA.

Black people are neither a majority in the USA nor are we a majority in our governing body..........Hence the statement we cannot be racist in the USA.

Again, brightsmile, you said "black people cannot be racist in the USA". Your premise is that equal rights are denied to a minority based on the color of their skin. Equal rights are just that, equal. Were whites to start a White Caucus, you'd call that racism and so would I, yet the Black Caucus isn't? A good look at our Congress will show you that there are many, many people of color there. Are you saying that they are invoking racism along with their counterparts when laws are enacted? How about all the young hotshots - both white and those of color, whether that color is black or brown - who spew racist hatred at each other? Are only the whites guilty of racist comments? No, we will disagree on this , maybe even vehemently.
