This is a wonderful blog. If you can read, thank a teacher, if you are free thank a veteran.

Sadly, a time in history I waited 32 years after I left the service for another American said to me, "thank you for your service".

I was in the British Army for some years and always have appreciated it when someone takes the time to thank me for my service. It just makes me Feel good!

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

One thing I have noticed when we travel in the southern states, is the tribute they give to the veterans, current military, and other persons like police, firemen, and emergency personnel. Not that the North doesn't also do it, but it is so much more prevalent in the South.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I have a family full of Military. We occasionally have a part of our church service every couple of years to have us stand for each branch of the services. I can stand for each of them! They bring in flags representing each branch of the Military.

Hello Mrsjoe......I have lived in the north and south and found it to be about the same but we all see and understand things in a different way which is nice.

The armed forces isn't helping much to keep the country safe from its own citizens........More American civilians have died from gunfire at home than in the military in the last decade.....
