TODAYS CHOSEN GOLDEN OLDIE FROM 1970....WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN. Karen and brother Richard ! MY GOLDEN OLDIES MEMORY LANE BLOGS ENTRY NUMBER ONE. Where were you back almost 49 ago?. Was love and romance pounding in your heart? Wasn't life so full of promises to behold, treasure and cherish? THE MUSIC LIVES , Both the lyrics and melodies bring us into a state of feeling more alive ad happy. This so called Rock and Roll thing viewed as evil and dangerous by our parents furnished us baby boomers and 50's kids with a deep cry of unity blended with common cause, It gave us understanding of what we needed and deeply wanted. It bonded a new generation of all of us seniors into togetherness. So why the split of differences in this blog section? My next oldies will be on the Stones SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL!

Of course you know that I heard the melody as I read the words...... she had such a sweet, mellow voice. And we definitely have reminders of our mortality all around us at this age. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
