Fallen soldiers from both sides Gallant sacrificing, no longer alive Most drafted, without any real say For Political beliefs, just simply pray Fallen soldiers all served with bravery Honor and courage their traits that be Such distant lands, so far away from home Dangerous battlefields, such combat zones Taking orders, never questioning why The chain of command, given on the fly No real choices offered them just carry out Simply obey them all, disspell all lingering doubt War is truly mankinds, most shameful act No peaceful resolutions, simply just attack Right or wrong reasons, some times never justified To the winner goes the spoils, the losers petrified Fallen soldiers so many in unmarked graves Supreme sacrifces, with their lives they gave Will man ever realize, compromise can indeed be had?
