War has been avoided! Canada and Denmark have finally come to an agreement to avoid a full scale war over territory. There is a a small island, Hans Island, in the north that was claimed by both nations. They fought over it for decades by planting flags and leaving bottles of their hooch for the other. Finally they have agreed to set a boundary down the middle of the island and thus avoid killing young men sent to repel invading forces. |
